  1. Ya, but you have a car, and you should have to have insurance to drive one, Why? Because it is not just yourself that you have to be liable for, but for other people as well.

The only reason why you are required to have auto insurance is for other people's liability or if you are financing or leasing a vehicle and you are liable for any damages that occur to the car.

    That's the major difference.

So it's not the same whatsoever.

If you are a young person, and you are making let's say $50,000 a year and you barely have any money left over after bills and etc. and now you are forced to pay let's say $300 a month for health insurance and you don't have the money to pay for it or maybe just enough, and you don't want to have any health insurance because you're strapped, or simply because you just don't want it, then what?

Pay a penalty? and if you don't? Jail?

It's just another way now that the government is forcing individuals to make decisions that some don't want to make.

It should not be anyone's place to dictate what someone wants to do with their money, and don't bring up the taxes example, because our government provides us a structured place to earn a living with law and order, and usage of roads, public schools, provides us protection with law enforcement and military and etc. etc.

  2. I know it's early in the season, but is this a one and done year for Owens with the Bills? I hope that's not the case. In the Bucs game, we finally got a glimpse of what is possible with having 2 stellar WR's and a good run game. So far, Edwards is looking good this season and IMO Edwards will have a breakout year, mainly due to having Evans & Owens to throw to. I would hope the Bills would sign Owens to a 3 year extension and will have a great offense for years to come.

Two weeks into a season is way too early. And in the two games he hasn't totally proven himself. Against the Buccaneers he dropped a pass that went right between his hands (he beat the defender and no stretching). He should have had it.

  3. The bills rank 6th in the NFL in scoring. Raise your hand if you though we would even be in the top ten at the beginning of the year?? Only two weeks in, but I still love it.

Just remember they started last season good and then totally fell apart. It's only been 2 wweks.

  4. I heard on talk show radio from a finance person who stated they had 38 clunkers on the lot and have yet to receive any money for them. Another salesman from another dealership called in and said the same thing but they were running out of new cars because without the money from the government they couldn't buy any more stock to sell. Another program that has gone "thud".

  5. I did receive an additional $13 dollars in my pay check (I get paid every other week). My big concern is all this money has gone into the banks and seems to virtually disappeared. The Cash for Clunkers hasn't lived up to its billing. I have heard of dealerships that are just about out of new cars and still have not received their money. Credit cards are either cutting your credit or shutting your card off. I had good credit and that happened to me. Never missed a payment for anything. For the third year in a row I will not get a raise. But I am thankful for having a job as my department where I work has been cut in half over the last two years. Foreclosures are still rampant. People are still losing their jobs. People are still filing bankruptcy. So prove to me that the stimulus is working.

  6. If Favre signs, I would be interested in trading for either of the Vikes backup qbs. I prefer Sage Rosenfels to be a quality backup to Trent.

    Your thoughts?

Who cares!!!! If he signs he's just making an ass of himself and those people who still pay attention. When he retired from Geen Bay he deserved the respect. Then he reversed and went to New York and was mediorcre Then retired again. Now might play again. He should have retired with thie highest respect from Green Bay. He's now fast becoming a comic character of what he once was.

  7. I left Buffalo decades ago for The City, but used to make frequent visits for reunions with my family. Now my parents have passed away, and I don't go back anymore. Now I live in the Phoenix area.

What I miss mostly is the food:

    * John & Mary's Royal sub (Harlem Rd. only) - cappacola and I-sausage

    * Texas Red Hots (the sauce, diced raw onions, and some mustard)

    * local pizza shops

    * real butcher shops like Redlinski's (don't tell me if they're gone)

Miss the hot dogs. Nothng like Sahlens.

We do get Buffalo pizza here. Casa di Pizza (on Elmwood) have to places here in Bradenton Florida. They do sell Sahlen hot dogs, beef on weck, and use the good pepperoni that curls and gets crispy edges when cooked.

  8. Losman supporters will be able to use their favorite excuse for him in the UFL's first season: "He's just a rookie."

They got 3 years out of that one around here.

For the last two years in the NFL you have used the excuse for Edwards is that he is just a rookie. I bought into it for his first season, not for the second. Just because he has not been the starter for a full season does not mean he is a rookie.

  9. It is being reported that the Pats are passing on Michael Vick. Let's revisit SKOOBY's plan - sign VICK. Can you imagine the attention our Bills would get with TO and VICK on the same team!

I think everyone should pass on Vick. At least TO hasn't been sent to jail for a felony.
