1. Larry M. Jones, Chief of Trauma & Burn Unit at Mercy Hospital, said Roethlisberger is in serious but stable condition. He is currently in the operating room undergoing surgery for injuries received in the accident.

Jones said Roethlisberger was coherent and talked to the doctors before the operation.

A source close to the Steelers organization said Roethlisberger suffered injuries to the face and head, but would not disclose details.

  2. What a pathetic comeback !  B-)

So who is replacing Evans production?

To be answered this fall. Living in the past with declining talent is your preference.

Gee, how will we replace Moulds 50 yards receiving per game ? I bet Indy's 4th WR could do that. :)

5-11 with Moulds, Milloy, Adams etc. - Let's reject change.

  3. Yet you think he should retire?  That says a lot for our current WRs.  If Moulds should retire then we don’t have a single WR on the roster who deserves to be in the NFL because he was the best we had.

Yes. I think he should retire.

I remember when Andre Reed was finishing up here. Moulds had already been here 4 years and was just starting to come around. Yet he still bobbled and dropped 20 plus passes a season. Inconsistent hands. Fans worried he wasn't a good replacement for the more consistent Reed and rightly so. But Reed was done and so now is Moulds.

His ability is sinking like a stone. Catching 5 yard slant patterns from Holcomb showed he was no longer a #1 WR.

Lee Evans, it's now your turn.

  4. I just don't know where we're going to replace his 816 yards from 2005 this year.

There can't be another Bill capable of gaining anywhere near that.

    We're doomed.

    704789

Exactly. An incredible 50 yards a game.

Moulds served us well for several seasons. But the last couple showed he was a shell of his former self. He never recovered his burst after that leg injury 3-4 years back.

Now, he's little more than a catch and fall guy. Rarely can gain any seperation.

Those lamenting his loss are thinking of the old Moulds. This version should retire. It's like watching O.J. playing for San Fran in 1978. A brief flash but overall, nothing.

  5. Talking to Carr. Showing Johnson catching passes and turning them upfield.

Shows Moulds catch an easy pass in the hands and immediately fall to the ground, with no one around him. He's practicing going down. WTF ?

I always liked the guy but has he become a complete head case about getting hit or something ? He averaged 2.7 yards after a catch last year.

    2.7 yards

Catch and fall. Now pay me big $$ ! :)

  6. I still think Losman will be the starter this season and increase his accuracy.

Anybody can complete over 60 % of their passes when they quickly check off their primary downfield target 90 % of the time in order to throw the safe dump pass or 3 yard slant. This is why Holcomb had a grand total of 12 NFL starts up until age 32. He checks off the deeper pass because he can't throw it with his noodle arm.

Holcombs shotcomings can not be hidden behind a bogus stat.

Starting Kelly Holcomb equals 4 wins, max.

I'd rather gamble with someone with a possible upside. Losman first, Nall 2nd,

    Holcomb...waivers.

  7. ok, those who b*tch that ML/RW are too cheap, does this make you just a little happy?

    704289

I kind of wish the Pats had won that competition.

Price had a career year in 2002 but is gutless when it comes to going over the middle and won't block. He'd have 150 more catches if he didn't have alligator arms and hear footsteps.

I don't miss his half efforts at all. This was the one off-season signing I couldn't understand.

  8. We were 5-11 WITH these people and haven't played a game in 2006 yet. All speculation with camp and pre-season to give us our first real glance at the new regime and system they brought in.

I was a bit surprised to see Fat Sam go but he raised some flags last season. Milloy didn't fit this current D at all, since he was an in the box Safety ( 4th LB ) with zero coverage ability. Mike Williams was a complete puss and wouldn't play hurt.

  9. Buffalo had a Major League Baseball team locked in back in 1968.. but the planned Cottrell Lancaster Stadium plan went belly up, forcing MLB to go to a backup plan. ( Montreal Expo's ).

This all sports stadium was also going to house the Bills and caused Ralph to start threatening to move the team to Seattle if another stadium plan didn't surface fast, since the Rockpile was falling apart in a bad neighborhood. Our Orchard Park facility was the result.

A little history lesson for the hot pockets crowd.

  10. Win football games as the starter.

I already know Holcomb can no longer play NFL level football and Nall is Mr. Prototype, minus the talent.

If Losman flops, get rid of all 3 and pick up a vet while trying again in the draft.

That being said, I expect little from the Bills this year, so throw Losman in there and let him sink or swim with some Coaches who may have an actual offensive gameplan, unlike the last 2-3 years.
