I'm starting to realize that most of the libs on this board (and some of the Conservatives) don't even bother responding to your posts, not to mention posting in your threads. I think they've already picked up on the fact that talking to you guys is like talking to a goat. You don't seem to really care about debating the issues as much as you do about insulting "libtards". I'm fine with a picture voter I.D. card. I plan on looking up to see if there would be any type of hardship to obtaining one for a minority. My guess would be that there isn't one so I don't see why there would be any opposition to the law. I the end I'm not sure what the big deal would be for either side since it's not going to change the outcome of elections in that state.

If they are willing to provide a pictured photo I.D. then I guess we don't have anything to argue about do we.

My guess is that they had a certain number of people they would allow in the store after 7:30 or so. If you let a person in close to close they could spend hours in there. I agree that you could shut the lights off on them but I have to agree with the manager on this one. People have 364 other days to get their Christmas shopping done. No reason to be pissed off that you can't get into Walmart at 7:30 on Christmas eve.

Not all minorities, or even middle class for that matter, own cars. especially if you live in a downtown area and use public transportation. Do I have a problem with showing a picture I.D. when you show up at the voting booth. Not really. I just would like to make sure that doing so does not suppress any demographic of voter.

The more electric cars sold, the less money behind each one. Wow I can't believe that GM missed aggressive sales projections, it's not like that's ever happened before...

We would need to sell about a million cars. A steep number but not out of the question. And considering that the government spent the money to fund the research behind the technology other models would also count into that number. Switch to green energy and generating enough electricity for those cars becomes extremely cheap and environmentally friendly.

If the state could prove that that's whats going on there wouldn't be a problem with this law would there. Not to mention the JD was able to prove that minority citizens are less likely to have a picture ID and would be the most likely to be suppressed.

Why the hell would you wait till 7:30 on Christmas eve to buy your gifts. Get them early and this wouldn't even be a problem. My wife and I had our Christmas shopping done by the end of October. Walmart is a private entity and can stop letting people into the store whenever they want.

Well, if they sold 6000 in one model year you would expect that they would sell 60000 in ten model years. Chances are thought that sales will pick up in the coming years as people become more comfortable with the car.

So depending on what the sale number for volts ten years from now the investment might only be $100 per car or so.

I'm having trouble finding the data on who is is more charitable in time and money. I do agree with your second point. There is a difference between a safety net and a system that doesn't provide any motivation to get out once you're in. However this is not a good time to make cuts in areas like cash assistance, unemployment, and food stamps. These are programs designed to stabilize consumption during economic downturn. Cutting these programs now is a great way to send the economy back into free fall.
