  1. Cardale Jones 6' 5". a Big bodied QB like Big Ben. Has a quick release of the football. A gun for an arm. Great Pocket Presence. Would like to see him with starters. Got to get better than Tyrod Taylor who showed me over and over he is not a Franchise QB.

Only after we are eliminated but I agree I would love to see what he has. he looked good in the pre-season

  2. It's Cardale time. Let the rook get his feet wet in the regular season. I actually think this may happen if/when we are eliminated from playoff contention.

I agree at least elevate him to the back-up. EJ is out after this year (no since). Jones looked good in the preseason and we could have given him some garbage time yesterday. TT is a middle of the road QB, if we keep him he should be compensated as such. Also, never a bad idea to draft a I.E. QB Washington 1st round RG III six round they found their true starter in Cousins.

You know what? You're right, it's frustrating.

At the same time, every team goes through this...Steelers have lost Ben and played their first 3 games without Bell. They don't have Martavis Bryant either.

NE lost Brady to suspension, their 2 backup QBs to injuries, and didn't have Gronk to start the year. They're also now without their best defensive player in Collins.

How do they beat Miami? Play stifling defense, grind out drives on the ground with whichever RBs are in the lineup, and hit a few big plays in the passing game to guys like Hunter, Goodwin, and Clay. Is that going to be easy? No way, no how...doesn't change the fact that it's the only path to victory.

True injuries happen to all teams, it's that pot head thing that gets to me, I hope he wasn't paid while he was out : (

It appears he is so afraid of throwing a pick he is not playing free and allowing his football instincts to take him where he needs to go.

I don't know, but I suspect the Fish doesn't want to let Goff in because he believes throwing young QBs in to play as rookies stunts their development. Think of EJ and JP for example. 2 1st round picks we rushed in to start only to fail miserably. He has experience with this too with Jake Locker. Actually, I think it's a good plan.

Salas catching a bomb on a scramble drill vs the Jets doesn't count?

JP sit an entire year and still failed, how long do you think is long enough? I get your point but, I knew when they had Goff over Wentz they were off base. Goff was a turn over machine at Cal.

But you aren't the GM, and you don't have absolute job security. The issue you are going to run into is that you will be fired when/if the team bottoms out.

This is were the owner needs to keep the long term goal for what is best for the team an option. I live in LA and Jeff Fisher is retarding the progress Jared Geoff should be making in a vain attempt to keep his job. The rams owner Stan Kronie has no clue as to how to handle this.

  6. This is why I would have signed him like a franchise QB (and they did). They did leave an out and they should use it. If he wants to come back next year on another proved or lose it contract great. In either case Cardale Jones looked good in the preseason give him a chance sign a vet back up (Case Keenum) and draft a QB in the second or third round so we have a year to groom him on the bench before he gets his chance (Kelly's nephew).

  7. Yeah...because he would've had the same exact numbers in our run first offenses with sub-par passing.

Not to mention he's a total diva.

Bills fans would be calling for OBJ's head by now and blaming Whaley for not having the balls to trade up for a real WR.

Who was in that draft at QB? I know we could have stayed put and got OBJ and kept our next years number 1.
