This will all be in the tail lights once we win the 2025 super bowl under coach Gilmore
-
I live in LA, looks like the kid has never huddled (HS or collage). He was a turn over machine in collage. Rams should fire GM Snead he passed on Wentz (goodbye)
-
I hope we learned and we will draft a QB in either rounds 3 - 7, Cardale # 2 and a developmental # 3.
-
Percy knows the play book, you are dipping into the Chan Gaily era
-
How does the transition tag work, does anyone know?
-
Instead of franchising him at the end of the year does anyone know what exactly is the transition tag, I believe we did it with Peerless Price and we ended up with a number one pick (Willis I hate Applebee's Maghee).

It's Cardale time. Let the rook get his feet wet in the regular season. I actually think this may happen if/when we are eliminated from playoff contention.
I agree at least elevate him to the back-up. EJ is out after this year (no since). Jones looked good in the preseason and we could have given him some garbage time yesterday. TT is a middle of the road QB, if we keep him he should be compensated as such. Also, never a bad idea to draft a I.E. QB Washington 1st round RG III six round they found their true starter in Cousins.

You know what? You're right, it's frustrating.
At the same time, every team goes through this...Steelers have lost Ben and played their first 3 games without Bell. They don't have Martavis Bryant either.
NE lost Brady to suspension, their 2 backup QBs to injuries, and didn't have Gronk to start the year. They're also now without their best defensive player in Collins.
How do they beat Miami? Play stifling defense, grind out drives on the ground with whichever RBs are in the lineup, and hit a few big plays in the passing game to guys like Hunter, Goodwin, and Clay. Is that going to be easy? No way, no how...doesn't change the fact that it's the only path to victory.
True injuries happen to all teams, it's that pot head thing that gets to me, I hope he wasn't paid while he was out : (

I don't have all 22 but I did see a few times he checked down when he had a wide open down field target. I said in an earlier post he seems very afraid of throwing a pick. He has to let it fly sometimes even Montana got picked off once in a while. Playing in fear is never good.

It appears he is so afraid of throwing a pick he is not playing free and allowing his football instincts to take him where he needs to go.
I don't know, but I suspect the Fish doesn't want to let Goff in because he believes throwing young QBs in to play as rookies stunts their development. Think of EJ and JP for example. 2 1st round picks we rushed in to start only to fail miserably. He has experience with this too with Jake Locker. Actually, I think it's a good plan.
Salas catching a bomb on a scramble drill vs the Jets doesn't count?
JP sit an entire year and still failed, how long do you think is long enough? I get your point but, I knew when they had Goff over Wentz they were off base. Goff was a turn over machine at Cal.

But you aren't the GM, and you don't have absolute job security. The issue you are going to run into is that you will be fired when/if the team bottoms out.
This is were the owner needs to keep the long term goal for what is best for the team an option. I live in LA and Jeff Fisher is retarding the progress Jared Geoff should be making in a vain attempt to keep his job. The rams owner Stan Kronie has no clue as to how to handle this.

2017 NFL Draft Watch List: QBs - Thoughts on Watson/Kaaya/Kelly/Mayfield and more: http://draftwire.usatoday.com/2016/05/05/2017-nfl-draft-watch-list-quarterbacks
Great post non of this crap matters its all just to keep us with nothing better to do amused.

This!
Yes, not worth the risk anymore
Landry has definitely become my most hated NFL player. Not even so much because of that hit. Talks trash all game, taunts constantly, swats his teamates away when they even try to congratulate him.
He and Odell learned well at LSU together. Bounty gate on Landry he sees us twice a year, put Richie on defense for a play.
-
This is why I would have signed him like a franchise QB (and they did). They did leave an out and they should use it. If he wants to come back next year on another proved or lose it contract great. In either case Cardale Jones looked good in the preseason give him a chance sign a vet back up (Case Keenum) and draft a QB in the second or third round so we have a year to groom him on the bench before he gets his chance (Kelly's nephew).
-
Who drafted the junkie?
-
Piece of crap junkie, trade him for a bag of balls in the off season.
-
I'm in LA from Buffalo and following the Bills and Rams. T. Johnson is the Rams shut down corner and he is worth all of it. When I watch both he is far superior than Gilmore. Don't waste the money draft a CB instead.
-
Two wasted top picks, sooner we they are out of here the better.
-
Don't forget how good Cardale Jones looked in the preseason, give him a chance and draft Christian Macafrey
-
Throw at least one fly pattern a game to Goodwin and put Reggie Bush in the slot.
-
Please don't pick up his fifth year rookie contract option
-
We shall see.
Edit: Why would he test his ankle?
Yes, I thought he had an injured foot?
-
Yeah...because he would've had the same exact numbers in our run first offenses with sub-par passing.
Not to mention he's a total diva.
Bills fans would be calling for OBJ's head by now and blaming Whaley for not having the balls to trade up for a real WR.
Who was in that draft at QB? I know we could have stayed put and got OBJ and kept our next years number 1.

Any word on Sammy?
