Great we will only loos by 10
-
Funny, I was thinking about this the other night (I'm getting old I used to think about girls). Would be nice to know what would have happened it couldn't have been any worse. I believe he probably wanted Whiley coyote out and he ended up out.
-
Next year starter Cardale Jones, back-up a resigned EJ and a third rounder who can sit and learn for one year much like Cardale is doing in case Cardale is the next bust. Always nice to have one in the chamber (as it were).
-
I wonder what would have happened if Marone had stayed on with Schwartz? Couldn't have been much worse.
-
Josh Mcdanails

SI guy has us taking a RB in the 1st next year? This board would go into full implosion.
If we can get out from under the Shady's deal take Mcafree (kid is a stud) and pair him with Cardale and sign Britt as a free agent.
-
No way we have to stop doing this, I live in LA sign Kenny Britt solid number 2 WR maybe a 1.5.
-
I mentioned in an earlier post I think he looks physically slower (used to look like he could take it to the house). The out pattern to Goodwin which was wide open and he missed badly (and he had had a few others) is a real concern. These are easy throws that he was making last year. It looks like he is playing scared, not sure if it is drilled in to him don't you dare turn it over or if he doesn't have a good year the contact is off the table or both. On a bright note Cardale Jones looked surprisingly good in the preseason and with a year under his belt he might be OK next year. Remember had he come out in 2015 he would have been a top ten pick.

Watch us sign Gilmore to a 5 year 100k contract this weekend (what the %&^$*)
-
The ref's are horrible just (as Marv Levi once said) heaf it down the middle and hope for a penalty.
-
Is it just me or does it look like TT has regressed. Looks slower and hesitant, worries to much about INT's and now can't throw a simple out that is wide open.
-
Just someone that will keep a 3-4 defense. I'm tired of changing defensive personnel and schemes every 3 years.
We really have 43 personnel DE Hughes & Lawson, DT Williams & Darius, LB Brown, Ragland & #57
-
I know it's subtle, but people here who are still open minded about EJ, are just that... they want to see if he'll develop in a (theoretically) better system. I doubt you'll see too many defending EJ if he doesn't show any development this year.
Agree I'm open minded about this. However, it looks like if anything Rex is going to run more than Marrone.

Great article, someone please get this to Greg Roman ASAP
-
Herb...I am sure that Roman is getting visions of Russel WIlson when he looks at Taylor because they have similar skill set....
I am just talking about overall.....Cam.....hurt.....Dog Killer....always hurt.....Thad Lewis tryed to be a runner and almost got his body broke doing it.
You can have all the skill in the world.....but if your not on the field it wont matter...I would like to see a QB that the THREAT of him taking off actually slows down a pass rush because they are trying to contain him......and then having the ability to make those throws from the pocket for taking that approach on defense.
OK, not trying to hate here, I don't know if he can play the way Wilson does but, the little guys IE Flute, Wilson, Tarkington, don't seem to get hurt as much as the taller awkward QB's.
-
I am gonna just say it
I worry about run first QBs because they always seem to get hurt.
Now.....If Tyrod Taylor can be one of those "I will run when I HAVE to" QBs that can take advantage of all this deep speed receiving core we now have......I have no problem giving him a shot
Ya, Russell Wilson always on the sidelines.
-
I wouldn't underestimate the power of good coaching.
Your Bo quote reminds me of a redskin who said he would run over his mom to win the SB, a raider replied I'd run over his mom too.

One was the hit placed upon Trent Edwards by Adrian Wilson, the safety from the Arizona Cardinals. Our team was 4-0 and looking pretty good. Edwards was not great, but he was good enough to get them to that game undefeated for the first 4-0 record in years. On one of the first plays of the game, Wilson came through and knocked Edwards into the future. He was never the same.
He never got it back.
Last year the play that ruined the season of EJ Manuel was the pick six by JJ Watt. Prior to that play, EJ was good but not great, and was progressing like one might expect from the 16th pick in the previous draft.....not a franchise quarterback, but one who needs a couple years to get up to speed. We were ready to score against the Texans, and he threw that pass that Watt, well, you saw it.
He was not the only player to be made to look foolish by JJ Watt.
As a result, Saint Doug took it upon himself to declare that EJ Manuel is no longer the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills. One play changed everything.
The difference is that Edwards was actually injured on the play, and perhaps that injury led to his long-term mediocrity. EJ Manuel made a mistake. People make them in games. All quarterbacks make mistakes. The way to measure the quality of a leader is to look at how he responds after he gets back up. EJ never was given that chance.
Since he was not hurt, I think that he paid an unfair price for making a bad throw to the best defensive player in the NFL. Next time he won't make that throw, and the Bills go on to win the game.
This is not an EJ thread. It's a thread about redemption. One guy's malady was physical. The other guy got beat by a great player. Maybe he should have not endured such a consequence.
Actually Trent played great the week after beating Philip Rivers and SD in Buffalo, I had Direct TV (I live in So. Cal.) and a kids balloon hit a transformer and we missed half the game. Only in Buffalo.

I saw Sammy in collage take bubble screens and run over and through DB's. Not one called for him this year, I'll give the staff the benefit of the doubt and say they were protecting his ribs (I wish they would have thought of that in the preseason Pittsburg game).
-
I was wondering Steve had also pasted, I believe he had brain cancer.
-
Ty Cobb anyone?
-
- Don't they have the transition tag anymore?
-
Cody Glenn to RT 5 year deal & Henderson to LT 5 year deal both low balled.
-
I think the same, he is not healthy and hasn't been since the preseason rib hits. I saw him in collage take those bubble screens and run through DB's. We haven't seen any of those. Let's hope that is the issue and next year the ne OC using him in a variety of ways.

If we lose to them with Edelman at QB I'm done, that is just a little more than embarrassing.
