Great last album (A Bigger Bang)from the human riff. Keef!
listen to his solo stuff! Folks
-
I'm glad he's around and he does deserve every last bit of adulation he gets---his contributions to pop music can never be ignored. But he always (to me at least) was one of those guys who needed a partner to balance some of his goofier impulses. Jagger and Richards are like that too. Their solo stuff is next to unlistenable. Pete Townshend's songwriter fell apart once the chemistry changed in the who (literally and figuratively). My favorite songwriter is Robert Pollard. Based on who he is collaborating with his stuff is either absolute perfection or boring self indulgent dreck.
Keith Richards Talk is Cheap is an excellent CD. Disagree that balance is needed.
Actually, there a quite a few - unless you're using his bank account as the sole measure. Otherwise, I really never even considered Sir Paul ' legendary ' at all - not even close. Just another aging pop star.
Get a grip.

Those are songs Paul wrote while with the Beatles. All very good.
I can't speak for AJ, but I was referring to the pop dreck he wrote post Beatles, like:
Band on the Run, Listen What the Man Said, Silly Love Songs (I just threw up in my mouth, a little), No More Lonely Nights...
Try listening to his current stuff instead his past stuff!
Yes, I know Paul does plenty of Beatles songs in concert. But to me, it's like Steve Winwood returning to his past and signing Traffic and Blind Faith songs. They seem hollow now.
Winwood and McCartney were very talented musicians. Both of them sold out and made crap for many years. They are dead to me.
Try listening to Eric clapton and steve winwood's live CD!
Baby I'm Amazed.
The concert was Paul singing whatever he wanted including many Beatles songs of course.
That would Maybe I'm amazed

I like the Beatles, but find Paul McCartney hard to listen to.
Really? Have you heard Fireman.
-
That would be Mike Stratton!
-
Does anyone remember that hit that John Hagy laid on somebody back in '89? I've seen it on highlight films from time to time.
Irving Fryer!
!964 - The Stratton hit kick-started our team to win the Championship game. The Chargers literally died when Lincoln was scraped off the field.
The Moats hit was not nearly as good and we got clobbered by a back up.
These hits should never be mentioned in the same breath.
Bob Smith has the photo on ebay just prior to Stratton laying the lumber.

Just out there taking Ralph's paycheck.

At least he hooked up with a real football franchise.

Ask Donohoe why he let him walk.

While it looks like doom and gloom, we need to do our part in primarily drafting well. We have sucked in this department for ages and we have to hope that Nix, whaley and co. do a better job in adding and replacing talent consistently through the draft. Then we need to draft a 'franchise' QB such as a Manning/Brees/Brady or build such a superior defense that the opposing teams QB is neutralized. Finally, tough as it may sound, out-coach Bellicheck. For far too long he has taken their talent and enhanced it with some very good game prep and in-game management. We need to beat him in coaching as well.
We will not become competitive overnight but do the above and in a few years time, when Brady's skills start to wane, we will have a chance to take over the mantel of an elite team one more time.
How many years you got? Could take another ten.

Selected JP Losman and Trent too. WTF!

I used to drive 1800 miles roundtrip at least twice a year. Crazy is the whole chicken
That's insane! I hope you have some chick on the other side.
-
The draft well too. The Bills on the other hand.
-
Their line is so-much better than the Bills too. Brady never feels the heat.
-
Overhyped game, Rex Ryan all smoke. Can't play with the big boys
-
Just remember McKelvin's 13 on the Wonderlic test makes him VERY hard to coach.
Beautiful!

Isn't like the other 83. Man this guy is overated.

The City of Chula Vista offered property for the Chargers. Nothing happened there. The Stadium sits right in the middle of the county. Probably the worst stadium to watch football in the league. I don't understand why there haven't got a deal struck there.
Not happening
You have read it here first.
I saw on the news that the SD downtown center city development group (a SD Gov agency to develop downtown) were having private negotiations with the Chargers and could not comment on what was taking place.
My take on Spanos selling off a portion is to raise the money needed to build a new stadium in downtown San Diego right beside Petco park. The pieces all fit. Sorry no cloak and dagger moves.
San Diego is not moving to LA. Jaguars might be moving to LA.
Isn't Alex and out of town owner? This makes sense your comment. The rest of the idiots have zero clue.

Because Keith is pickled.

License plate frames and covers have been illegal in South Carolina for years.
Driving your car without proper headlites and driving with a paper bag over your favorite beverage is something I see here all the time.
