  1. Flattening the curve is only the first goal. Then it's to reduce the totals. Come the fall, when the virus amps up again despite what Trump, the highly regarded virologist says, talk of flattening the curve will be the main conversation once again.
  2. If a group of angry people carries guns into a state house, they won't get arrested either. Imagine the reactions if a group of black men did that for a different reason. Bet the opinions of that would be different. Then it would all be about law and order, right? . Hoarding and a national policy of pitting one state against another drives up the prices. He doesn't care. He just likes posting links.
  3. I can't say I'm surprised that rather than stay on topic and address the facts, that you were forced to head in this direction. I didn't B word and moan. I stated the facts about taxation in America and backed it up with links that proved my side of the discussion. It forced you into a corner where you felt your only choice was to lash out.
  4. The best example would be that a secretary at Warren Buffett's company paid more in percentage of taxes than Warren Buffett. https://money.cnn.com/2013/03/04/news/economy/buffett-secretary-taxes/index.html
  5. It's about large corporations, not small ones. That's where the money is and that's where taxes are not being paid. I suggest it's you that doesn't know what's going on. I've already posted the link to the numbers.
  6. That the poor oppose it means nothing because they have zero power. It is solely because the rich oppose it.
  7. https://itep.org/60-fortune-500-companies-avoided-all-federal-income-tax-in-2018-under-new-tax-law/ Who's being lied to?
  8. What I'm suggesting is that if certain states always fiscally support other certain states, don't serve me the manure that the government is being too kind to the former, as McConnell and his party mates have suggested. .
  9. The poor pay sales tax.. The rich don't pay. Corporations don't pay. The middle class continues to shrink.
  10. Glad to hear that you believe everyone should pay their fair share, so why do corporations and the rich manage to escape their fiscal duties, even under Trump the reformer?
  11. As Cuomo recently pointed out, the Blue states tend to pay the federal government every year, while the Red states tend to take money from the federal government every year. The Blue states keep the red states afloat. When there is a natural disaster in Red states, the Blue states never vote against sending them aid. When NY gets hit, McConnell doesn't think they should be helped. Now, who hasn't been following along?
  12. A perfect example would be my mother who is long retired. She hasn't paid taxes in 20 years until Trump came into power. Last year, she had to pay $1200. She doesn't work and is not in the stock market, so there's no change in her situation. He has cut taxes of corporations, while the taxes of those in NYC and New Jersey have gone up drastically. That's factual, not opinion based. Even my friends who are Trump supporters won't dispute this.
  13. You still don't understand what ranting means. I calmly laid out what he's done. You seem to think that disagreeing with you equals ranting. Which parts of what I wrote do you think are not facts?
  14. My taxes have gone up alarmingly since he took over, based exactly on his personal actions. Same for all of my friends in NYC. Reinforcing law and order when he eggs on carrying guns into state houses to threaten government officials? How exactly did he strengthen the military, other than saying he did? Actually, he has bombed foreigners. And you left out what he's done to the national debt.
  15. Still demonstrating a clear lack of wittiness.
  16. "You can pretend to be serious; you can't pretend to be witty. "
  17. He's doing the same things.
  18. Look up the definition of ranting
  19. Republicans always claim they are against government expansion until they get into office. They also claim they are against too much presidential power, unless they're in power. They also claim they're against running up the deficit until they get in office. They also claim the government is too much into their business until they get in office
  20. I don't know what he thinks. I can only go by what they write. He says it's not an issue, when it is. That doesn't mean it's incredibly widespread, but Charlottesville should have proven to everyone that can reason, that it's not a small sliver, either.
  21. It made perfect "sence". Which statements are you referring to?
  22. I haven't ranted. Some others have.
  23. It wasn't implied at all.
  24. It's not my fault that you can't write clearly. It's also telling when someone turns a conversation into serial matters.
  25. I didn't bring it up. I responded to a comment about it. Please point to my rant about racism.
