  1. our D choked... one more stop was all they needed UGHHHHHH
  2. Same for the Bills... Offense looked good.... D looked terrible
  3. Good game... disappointed in how my dudes came out in the 3rd quarter... But they exceeded my expectations and a W is a W. But, as you can see... We had more than a chance lol
  4. Hey guys... look... just feel good that you are playing a team with a long and notorious history of imploding... there is a TON of football left.
  5. Bills are by far the more disciplined team.........
  6. no harm, no foul... best of luck to all at the Ralph.. hope I don't have to eat my words.
  7. How can you watch that video and say he doesn't look like CJ2K lol... He probably won't ever come close to the stature of CJ. But when you watch how he runs..it's almost a carbon copy running style. Hard to get a hit, slippery, and speed on top of speed.
  8. As you can probably guess...I never saw Lamonica play... Again... from '83 when I was a Raider fan, the Raiders never had a dominant, SHUT DOWN D. There is a difference between terrifying and shut down. For example, the Raiders 2000 team defense was a terrifying defense. I believe they put out 11 of the starting 16 QB's they faced. Were they a shut down D? Absolutely not....In 2000, the Ravens definitely were, though. Yes, that was what I was saying. In fact... I can explain it for you. If the team runs downfield on a porous run D. Once they were in the red zone they passed more than they ran. Pretty simple... But, as we both have eluded to (you got me fully in "this season" mode)... So This Season..... 1st in Rushing D 2nd in turnovers caused 6th in scoring D 4th in Interceptions.... 1st in rushing offense So, we have concluded a few things.... We are THE 2nd BEST rushing offense. We are THE BEST rushing defense. We are still in the top third in total D We turn the ball over just as much as the Bills D So.... let's talk about that. Remember? Last season doesn't count anymore... And the Raiders match up very damn well with the Bills on paper. Also have to have a running game to set up your passing attack... Hope you can run against the leagues best rushing defense. What you're gathering isn't much.... You should be gathering that the biggest advantage of this game for the Bills is the 1pm EC game at home. Nothing more, nothing less... uhhh.....we controlled the LOS very well... You want to bring up the penalties again? No problem, they are the biggest drive killer. Take away those penalties though, and watch the game, it was really a dominating trench performance for the Raiders. Again, the passing D is still working out kinks and they may or may not improve as the season goes. But the underneath spots are where you kill the Raiders. That is my running theme throughout. Not building any straw man... I haven't implied anything you, or another Bills fan on here at some point, has not said. Am I "expecting" them to be more disciplined? Yes, I am. I will tell you why... because it takes more than a few aspects of a defense and/or offense to "burn up the league"... But I do think we are closer to that than the Bills are, that is all. Nothing more, nothing less. It really isn't.
  9. I will without question be back to eat my crow...if indeed that is the case.
  10. There is a difference between "overtime matchup"...there were two games... one was a regular game..one was overtime.. Did it really need to boil down to semantics? Clearly, matchup means GAME.. Have you ever spoke about somebodies performance based solely on overtime? I never have... Seems pretty silly to me lol Yea sure... Orton completed a lot of underneath stuff... I'm sure Fitzpatrick will too. Raiders have always been a "ebdn but don't break" defense. I have never seen them have a truly dominant, shut down D. I've been a Raider fan for about 27 years. IDK? I'm sure I would have as much trouble explaining this to you as you would explaining how the Bills with the emerging career of a lifelong journeyman QB had his team in the bottom third of all team passing stats? So much for that VAUNTED passing attack... Hey, I will just take a page right out of the Bills Homer's Textbook... "That was LAST SEASON... This is 2011 and we are THE NUMBER ONE RUSHING DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE!!" WOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH [/Ric Flair] Why would I explain that? I'm not here hyping my very average QB hey, I have a question for you.... How did you feel after the 2003 season opener...??? OOOOOOHHHHHHH ... I know THAT one stung.....
  11. Reading is fundamental... "Veldheer pancaked Hali about 5 times in the overtime matchup" "Veldheer pancaked Hali about 5 times in overtime" Are these two different statements entirely?? Yes they are! I have blown up a couple posters on here with facts... I don't make stuff up as I go along... My stuff checks out. The Chiefs did not line Hali up exclusively on Veldheer, they rushed him from the right side also.... ask me how I know...and then ask me how you don't..
  12. Raiders don't spread out anyway... they rarely use a 3 wide set and never use a 4 wide. If they do go empty backfield it's with DMAC and/or Reece. So.... that theory couldn't be more wrong. This "8 in the box" stuff isn't some ancient chinese secret. You got Darren McFadden running on you or Jason Campbell throwing the ball.... 10 out of 10 teams are going to try and make Campbell beat you with his arm. And it's not like you have Adrian Wilson back there or anything
  13. I will show up and take my loss like a soldier. No tail tuckin' here.
  14. Yea we're really going to miss out on Nnamdi covering the #2 all over the field... Stanford Routt graded out as a top 3 corner last year per PFF Brondon Lloyd couldn't do anything. And Stevie Johnson will be on Routt Island come 1pm tomorrow. you will see.
  15. 3 plays on 3rd down wher they handed it to McFadden... one he ripped a 20 yard run. the other he had 6 and 2.. Sorry that 3rd and long runs aren't getting converted... Most NFL RB's aren't going to "get it done".. Not sure if you thought that was your ace up the sleeve or whatever. But if it was, come a little harder. Yes, they had an undisciplined game. And still won despite 15 and 131 in penalties in Denver. They won't be nearly as undisciplined this Sunday.. Which is bad for the Bills. EDIT: Hopeful, want to know what a stellar O Line and beastly runing game does for you?? Check out the last drive of the game 3:43 4th Oak 1st & 10 at Oak20 Michael Bush rush to the right for 10 yards to the Oak30. Tackled by Von Miller. 2:59 4th Oak 1st & 10 at Oak30 Michael Bush rush up the middle for 2 yards to the Oak32. Tackled by Brodrick Bunkley. 2:54 4th Oak 2nd & 8 at Oak32 Denver Broncos timeout. 2:54 4th Oak 2nd & 8 at Oak32 Jason Campbell pass to the right to Darrius Heyward-Bey for 9 yards to the Oak41. Tackled by Cassius Vaughn. 2:11 4th Oak 1st & 10 at Oak41 Michael Bush rush up the middle for 2 yards to the Oak43. Tackled by Joe Mays. 2:05 4th Oak 2nd & 8 at Oak43 Denver Broncos timeout. 2:05 4th Oak 2nd & 8 at Oak43 Michael Bush rush to the right for 12 yards to the Den45. Tackled by Brian Dawkins. 2:00 4th Oak 1st & 10 at Den45 Two Minute Warning. 2:00 4th Oak 1st & 10 at Den45 Jason Campbell rush up the middle for a loss of 3 yards to the Den48. Tackled by Jason Hunter. 1:17 4th Oak 2nd & 13 at Den48 Jason Campbell rush up the middle for a loss of 2 yards to the Oak50. 0:36 4th Oak 3rd & 15 at Oak50 Jason Campbell rush up the middle for a loss of 2 yards to the Oak48. Don't see one third down on that drive do you?? That's called a nail in the coffin... look at the pass to rush ratio... And they KNEW the run was coming and still couldn't stop it.. How do you like those apples?? sorry, there WAS a third down... the Campbell kneel
  16. WHOA!! Talk about "delusions of grandeur" After one game against an inflated Chiefs team....you are writing stuff like this in stone... WOW!! Arguable...but continue...Raiders D Line is DEFINITELY better... everything else might be a wash Perhaps not... but if we score 20..you have to score 21. That isn't a given....no matter what model you use. Thing is.. We don't offer Run D.. last year we were the second ranked PASS D and second in the league in sacks. Last week we stuffed the run. So if the Raiders can stuff the run now too??? It will be a very, very long day for the Bills because we already know they can get at the passer just like they did last season.
  17. Pitt, Miami, Jax, Indy, SF, Hou, AZ, Tenn Indeed we did, however, you lost to some great teams last year and I still like our chances. In fact, Bills lost to a couple of the same bad teams we did.. and a couple bad ones (Minnesota?) and you lost to the Chiefs last year, who we swept.
  18. lol I got a good laugh out of it.. I always appreciate humorous cynicism. Gotta be able to laugh at yourself. The forum I call home, we do it all the time. So I can relate. One thing we have in common is our teams have sucked forever.
  19. We're talking 2010 2011 - DMAC has more yards than both Jackson and Spiller combined.
  20. The Chargers fans were saying the same thing in '09. I mean, the last thing I want to see is Merriman have some epiphany on the rehab trail. In a loss, it would just make it exponentially worse. Because I had to witness some very bad losses at the hands of that awful celebration.
