  1. Nathan Peterman is trash, I'm sorry let's stop covering s*%t with sugar and calling it a tootsie roll. I honestly feel sorry for the kid that our coaching staff / front office keeps putting him in a position that he's clearly not ready to be in. I wish nothing but the best for him but let's just be real, he should never see live action during the regular season until at least 2020.

Shady and a mid round pick for Foles. Dump Anderson and Peterman. I'm not a Foles fan but you could certainly do worse (and we have). We need someone who can play this year and be a mentor next year

I don't think the Bills need to dump Anderson until the season is done. Peterman should never throw a football again in the NFL.

See Jets offensive gameplan from Monday night.  Copy/paste.  Run the ball.  Lots of screens, quick slants, curls, back shoulder stuff.  Play action.  Never hold the ball for more than 2.5 seconds.

Yeah I definitely agree, the main goal should be a heavy run game. I don't trust this offense running screen plays right now, especially against the Chargers. Peterman missed a lot of throws last week and the receivers dropped quite a few passes. Hopefully Allen is more accurate and his timing is better.

Incognito played pretty well the second half of 2016 when Groy was at Center....not to dispute that Richie and Wood were a good combo -- but I saw no discernable difference in Richie's play when Groy was at C.  That might say more about Groy than it does Incognito.

I think the board overall underestimates Groy.  He is bigger and stronger than Wood.  There was a reason the Rams wanted him as their starting Center in 2017.  He has earned this opportunity and, barring injury, I believe will take advantage of it.  I think the real question is whether Groy is at LG and Bodine is at C or Groy is at C and John Miller moves back to his natural position (LG) in an offense that is more befitting his skills.

Yeah I've always been a huge proponent of Groy. Never understood why he wasn't starting over some of the other plug ins. I'm very intrigued to see what this line can do. Little worried about the RT position.

Richie Incognito had a lot to do with his success last year, hoping he can adjust.

Lining up next to an Pro Bowl player certainly did not hurt.

Very valid point. I also think that Richie being next to Eric Wood helped him immensely. I definitely seen a decline in Richie's play last year compared to 2016. Lot of holding penalties in his tenure. He's a pro-bowler but I think the reason he wants to retire is because he's mediocre without Wood. I thought Dawkins was actually the OL for the Bills last season.

Some of the top guys in this draft class (Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen in my opinion) have just as much potential as Wentz did.

And Wentz wasn't the "clear cut best" QB of that class, which should be obvious because the Rams took Goff first.

The ability of a coaching staff to "develop" a Quarterback is overrated.  Coaches can only work with the talent they are given.

We always hear about the Bills failing to develop quarterbacks like JP Losman and EJ Manuel.  But neither of those guys did squat in the NFL after going to other coaching staffs either.  It wasn't the coaches, it was the player.

The ability of a coaching staff to develop a QB is NOT overrated. Just like your boy Goff, how was he with Jeff Fisher compared to being with Sean McVay? How about the QB's that Pat Shurmur has worked with? Of course it's not 100% but it drastically helps.

He was SO clear cut that he was the SECOND QB taken that draft.

Well by a coaching staff that knew who was the better of the 2 QB's yes. He was better than Goff and their coaching staff was a crap ton better than LA's at the time.

I wasn't knocking your brother because he is right, but who's coaching the QB is just as much of a deciding factor on how good they will be and how quickly it happens.

My brother is an Eagles fan.  For years, he felt the same way as many people on this board.

He didn't want to see his team "overdraft" players, and was always worried about getting value from his picks.  He didn't believe a Quarterback could succeed without a fantastic O-Line in front of him, a great running game and receiving weapons all over the field.  So the best plan was always kicking the can down the road, until the rest of the roster was set.  Being a big NCAA fan, every QB prospect that popped up was also loaded with flaws.  There was always a better option "next year."

He just about lost his mind when the Eagles MORTGAGED THEIR FUTURE to move up for Carson Wentz.  He was depressed and wondered how a rookie QB could ever succeed with the "crappy roster" and "bad defense" around him.

Wentz wasn't even half-way through his rookie season before my brother completely changed his tune.  He told me that he could IMMEDIATELY see the difference in what Wentz brought to the table, even as a raw/inexperienced player.  Keep in mind that my brother watched Pro Bowler Donovan McNabb for years.  And when Nick Foles was playing fantastic, my brother was always convinced he was a "system quarterback."  But in less than 8 games, he immediately knew that Wentz was going to transform their franchise.  And only a year later, the Eagles were hoisting their first Lombardi trophy.

I could understand that but lets be realistic when we are talking about Wentz compared to this draft class. He was clear cut the best QB in that draft and he had a great coaching staff that knew how to develop a young QB. Frank Reich and Doug Pederson are about as good as it gets.

  9. I think Buffalo has to Draft a QB in the first round without any doubt. However I don't think they need to move up if a QB is drafted with the 1st and 2nd picks, then ultimately 3 would be taken in the first three picks. I think Buffalo moving up completely depends on what Cleveland does with their first pick. If they pick a QB at one then Buffalo should stay put. If Barkley goes first then make a move.

You mean Bill Polian said to put him at receiver?

I think I’ll side with Polian on this.

Jackson will have a difficult time in the NFL as a QB. Bad mechanics and accuracy issues equate to problems.

Running QBs do not make it,at least for an extended amount of time.

I pray the Bills pass on him. We already have our inaccurate fast QB on this roster.

So you think he'll be a better WR than QB? What evidence shows that he'll be a good WR?

  11. I definitely think he's on point with that. Not to get off track but even if you look at something like dancing, the hips control the feet. Good hip rotation is also one of the most vital things for pitchers to have as well and they have to have pin point accuracy.

  12. Not going to lie, I read most of the article but not all of it. He's had some accuracy issues and some footwork issues that have been noted but one thing is for sure, he's a QB. He's black, he's tall and he's fast so people just want to throw say "oh put him at WR" without even knowing if the guy can catch a ball. In the proper situation he'll be real problem for opposing defenses at the next level.

They didn't hide THIS info from their players.  As you said, they hid or mistreated concussions, which this paper concludes are not the cause of CTE.

    So where is the liability?

I think the argument that the Dr who originally brought up linking concussions to CTE said that traumatic brain injury was "often" a precursor to CTE. I don't believe that it was just concussions that the NFL was in trouble for. It was traumatic brain injuries, concussion is just 1 type of traumatic brain injury. We're focusing on only 1 type of brain injury. And the NFL hid the effects of repeated traumatic brain injuries (which can include but not limited to only concussions).

Not sure what this means for the NFL.  It confirms what has already been speculated--it's not about the known events (concussions), it's an accumulation of hits, starting in youth.

While it may further give pause to parents considering tackle football for their kids, it should help insulate the NFL from claims that NFL football caused any player's CTE type disease.

I don't think that the it's going to insulate the NFL from prior claims or future claims. The NFL was in trouble because they hid this information from their players and continued to let them play when they probably shouldn't have been able to. For years the NFL hid concussions or just brushed off head injuries as getting knocked out when in fact it was probably much more severe.
