  1. Let me clarify your confusion - you are a nitwit. Doug Whaley is the perfect role model of a minority guy who has done everything right, and who has earned the trust of Ralph Wilson and the Pegulas. Never been arrested, always been a model citizen. Lynch is a thug, who engaged in a hit and run in Buffalo, arrested in LA on WEAPONS charges, and somehow you are so stupid that you are completely unable to distinguish between the two. So go ahead genius, post that Marshawn poster on your kids bedroom wall, and trash Whaley all day. Does that answer your dumb question?
  2. So in your genius opinion, calling Whaley a liar is not trashing him. And singing the praises of Lynch, who unlike Whaley, who has a history of unsavory behavior as detailed earlier, and which by the the way has led to multiple suspensions. So go ahead nitwit, trash Whaley and defend Marshawn. He would be such an excellent role model for your kids, unlike the liar Whaley. Right genius?
  3. But Whaley is the bad guy for cutting a guy with a substantial salary who would play a bit role with Buffalo. BTW, Seattle is paying Fred less than one third of his Buffalo salary. But according to bitter Fred, Marshawn is the hero, Whaley the heel. Right
  4. Okay this is how I really feel - because you asked. Fred gives us a flattering portrayal of Marshan Lynch, while trashing Doug Whaley. So I will put it out there for any and all fathers out there; who would you rather have your sons emulate, Doug Whaley or Lynch? Sounds like Buffalo hero Fred Jackson chooses gangsta Lynch, and that's sad. Good riddance Fred, I hope you and your little brother Marshawn won't run down any pedestrians in Seattle. BTW Freddie, what did you think of little brother Marshawn accusing his head coach of sacrificing the SuperBowl in order to make Wilson the hero, instead of him. Real stand up guy, right Freddie. You ought to be ashamed.
  5. Well hey, I guess playing for the Bills all those years, and seeing EVERY year players of all types and abilities come and go, that the harsh reality of how the NFL and all pro sports leagues works should not have come as such a surprise to Mr Jackson. Shock to him actually that a talented rookie RB is chosen over a 34 year old RB who never made the Pro Bowl. Whaley saw him as nothing more than third on the RB depth chart, and apparently Seattle agrees.
  6. Referring to is days in various minor league football venues etc. Fred was all over the place after college, until finally ending up with Bills.
  7. Fred "finally got a firsthand look" at how the football works? Really. I seem to recall before landing a 9 year gig with the Bills he bounced around quite a bit. All over the place actually. Fred you had 9 years as a Bill, and you were a good guy and a nice player but never anything more. You never made a Pro Bowl, despite the fact that's actually fairly easy to do. Not many players on our wall of fame who never even made a pro bowl, but you will be there. What was Whaley to do, play you over Karlos Williams? You would not have been happy as a third stringer (which actually is what you are in Seattle) here. Name me the NFL GM that would choose you over Williams. And spare us the praise of Saint Marshawn. If he was your little brother and shadow here in Buffalo, where were you when he was running down pedestrians in downtown Buffalo and then running away like the little B word he is. Or all the other incidents and trouble he caused here. Or his weapons violation/arrest in Los Angeles. Yes Marshawn is just a wonderful human being, it's Whaley who is the bad guy. Is that what you are trying to sell us Freddie? No reasonable person should buy your BS.
  8. So according to your post this was talked about extensively last year so at the very least you concede it was a problem. The Bills "tried something new" with the walk thru detectors? Wow the stupidity. EVERY NFL team is REQUIRED to experiment with walk thru detectors this year, and have those detectors in place in EVERY gate next year. They "tried something new" because they were REQUIRED to. There is no assurance that any gate is faster than another from week to week. A "bit more" slow - really - 40 minutes. How about you asking for a touch of accountability in terms of the Bills corporation figuring out how to get fans through their gates in a safe and timely manner (less than 40 minutes)
  9. Wow what an intelligent comeback. Don't address one single point, for lack of IQ. Just look up the word "pathetic " in a dictionary and throw it your "post. For lack of an actual intelligent response.
  10. And yet one more genius solution which involves the multi billion dollar Bills corporation to do nothing. Nothing at all. Just sell season tickets, deliver the lowest level of services possible, and tell anybody who would dare ask for a bit of accountability to "stay home". Nice to see the sheep forming a herd.
  11. Wow could you make my point for me any better than this post? So this genius here list 6 solutions, all of which have the same theme, it's up to the fans to solve the problem. Not the Bills of course. Read each point. None of them involve the Bills doing anything. God forbid. It sounds like his best solution is to show up two hours early, get into your seat, pay outrageous prices for food and water, and stop whining. God forbid that the Bills should figure out a way to get the Bills fans who arrive 30+ minutes early into their seats in a safe and timely manner? Why should this billion dollar corporation, subsidized by Erie County taxpayers, bear any responsibility? Let the fans figure it all out. Don't even ask Russ Brandon about it. Wow
  12. Nobody offered a solution, they simply regurgitated their (positive) experience in getting thru the gates. I love your idiotic mindset here, it's up to the fans who pay out up to a thousand + dollars a year for season tickets, pay outrageous prices for water and food, to come up with the solutions to the gate problems, which have been detailed by several posters here. In your expert opinion, it's not at all the responsibility of the billion dollar corporation that receives millions in taxpayer subsidies, it's up to the fans to figure it all out. You are a genius.
  13. Well actually I was just pointing out a problem at the Ralph. God forbid that this forum should be used in any way, shape or form that could be possibly construed as a criticism of the Bills and their management of the stadium. Let's keep a guy like you happy and just post smiley face positives about how great everything is at the Ralph. Just like they do on WGR when Brandon is on. Nobody is whining here genius, just stating facts about what happened at the stadium. Listen, if you think with all the resources the Erie County taxpayers have showered on the Bills that a 30+ minute wait and a crush of humanity is a fine and acceptable standard, then fine. I have no problem with you and others accepting such a low standard of service. As long as you get to your seat in time, it does not matter what level the service is. God the geniuses on this board. The Bills can never do anything wrong. Of course they have not been to the playoffs in this century, but criticism of their competence is called "whining". Sheep
  14. Maybe Russ, who gets on WGR and explains how concerned he is about the fan experience, should address a problem that many experienced. It is, after all, the year 2015, and the team was handed 130 million in taxpayer subsidies, in addition to the 5 million + subsidy the taxpayers pay out every year to the Bills. Instead of defending WHATEVER the team does, why not ask for a bit of accountability in terms of getting the fans into the stadium in a safe and timely matter. No need for a helmet, just a simple plan conducive to the safety of the fans. Is that asking too much, or do the apologies for Russ and the team go on and on. Sheep - led to the slaughter, and too dumb to expect any standards.
  15. And that includes, I suppose, those who posted that they had the EXACT same experience I did. And please, point me to the post that addressed the WGR points or the crush and 30+ minute wait at gates 2 & 3. You certainly were incapable of addressing those points. huh.
  16. Classic; unable to intelligently respond to any of the points raised, the much thought out response is "huh" - genius
  17. Okay here's my (OP) response. Arrived at gate 2 at 12:25; it was jam packed. Tried media gate - not allowed and access to other gates via walking towards back lot of stadium is blocked and off limits. So next option is gate 3; jam packed despite new metal detectors and a 30 + minute ordeal as originally posted. And traditionally gate 4 is the worst. In any event, and as is usual, most responses are from IQ challenged folks on this board are, charitably but predictably, clueless. It does not matter one iota whether you got to some gate at 11:45 and got through in 5 minutes. You have had 3 separate posts on this topic describing the exact same problem that I encountered, so it's not a case of getting there 5 minutes before game time or an unwillingness to walk an extra 100 yards. I mean please. My 30 minute ordeal still got me in my seat by the time game started, but if you are bright enough to understand my original OP it was more about the absolute mass crush of people anxious to get in by game time, and the safety of the kids caught in that crush. But as usual, the sheep of WNY spend 130 million of their hard earned tax dollars, and in no way shape or form want Bills held accountable for the gate mess. Why should they, as long as they got to their seat in short order. And why not address the main point of the OP, that CEO Brandon gets on WGR and talks about the importance of the fan experience, and WGR hosts NEVER challenge his narrative as to how great everything is at the Ralph. Again, your personal experience of getting thru the gates without a problem does not mean that the Bills organization should not be held accountable for the thousands of folks who arrived there early, encountered long waits and dangerous crush of people, despite a willingness to go to ANY gate that was accessible. How about holding Brandon and the Bills accountable to the principle that if you arrive at ANY gate 35 minutes early, you should not have to endure a crush of people and a 30 minute wait, given the price of your ticket. How about it, sheep? Is that asking too much for your 130 million dollar investment?
  18. Well he is the CEO who comes on the radio and blows smoke about how concerned he is with the "fan experience". He wasn't waiting in line for 30+ minutes today, and it's not asking too much for your radio folks, who criticize the Bills over everything, to at least ASK him about it.
  19. Typical fan answer, taxpayers spend 130 million dollars in improvements, but they "are working on it" . Why not open stadium gates earlier than 11:30?
  20. Well yes, if you define a bad day as being subject to long body crushing waits to get into the game, especially considering the prices you pay. And by year 2015, the expectation should be you can figure this out.
  21. Next time Russ Brandon makes an appearance on WGR it would be nice if Howard and Jeremey and the boys, instead of kissing his butt, ask why the stadium is such a cluster F in terms of getting fans into the stadium. It was a mess today, with a 30+ minute crushing wait to get into the stadium. How difficult is it to get the fans thru the gates in a timely and orderly fashion? How many years does it take to figure that out? Don't get on the radio and tell everybody how important the fan experience is to you then year after year fail to deliver on the most basic of stadium functions. And how about a radio host or two that has the guts to call Brandon out on his fan experience BS.
  22. Dunne makes all the difference in the world. He covered Packers, and actually developed personnel sources in the NFL which he uses to provide an independent, informed opinion on the strengths and weaknesses of various players, coaches etc. Contrast that with someone like Jerry Sullivan, who in all his years here has never developed one source in the NFL, but showers his readers with his opinions, which are not based on any real life football experience, not based on any film study, basically no better or worse than the average Joe pounding beers at a local tavern.
  23. Oh do you mean that Pegula is exceeding the "standard" that Ralph set. In truth and in fact Wilson has to go down as one of the worst owners in NFL history. For the vast majority of his time as owner his team was a loser and a laughingstock. Read Jim Kelly's book and his decision to sign with USFL, based on the fact that after 20+ years of Ralph's ownership, the franchise was a mess. The only owner in NFL history to lose the number one overall draft pick to THE Canadian Football league. Would not pay for coaches. Threatened to move to Seattle if the taxpayers would not build a stadium for him. At 80+ years old, after having made one billion dollars on this franchise, gives up competitive advantage and moves games to Toronto so he can squeeze out an extra 10 million in revenue, as if he needed it. Mr Pegula, the bar has not been set very far. Wilson is beloved by many on this board and in this city, despite a clear record of incompetence and failure.
  24. Wow let me just point on two very obvious misstatements in this "analysis", blunders so bad that it destroys this guys credibility. He states moves such as obtaining Mccoy and Watkins came at a "prohibitive cost". Well superstar McCoy costs us a linebacker with a bum knee, a good player but not anything close to prohibitive cost. Much worse is his idiotic assertion that Bills gave up two first round picks to obtain Watkins, in effect he says, costing the Bills three first round picks to obtain Watkins. That's nonsense, but often repeated nonsense ( see WGR and Buffalo News). So one last time folks lets do the math. At the time of the 2014 NFL draft, the Bills had ONE first round pick in 2014, and ONE first round pick in 2015. After the Watkins deal, the Bills still had ONE first round pick in 2014 ( which they used to take Watkins) and no first round pick in 2015. No matter how desperate you are to criticize Bills, 2 minus 1 still and will always equal one. The Watkins trade cost the Bills ONE first round pick, not two or three.
