Heading to the Promised Land from Joisy by myself JUST to watch the first preseason game Live ... so I do have some specifics to watch for
1.) First two defensive series (or maybe only one) - the push and pressure straight up by our new defensive line
I am expecting 2-3 yards in the middle and more from the edges right away.
2.) How good is our middle linebacker?
3.) Gilmore in coverage
4.) If Merriman plays ........any sign of Lights Out?
5.) I expect Fitz for one series and a lot of spread formation - straight down the field probably
6.) Glenn vs Hairston on the left side.......Pears and all the others on the right. Backup centers.....good snaps?
7.) Easley - is he healthy.....? Is he getting open? Is he catching anything?
8.) Graham (see 7)....who else is catching the ball
9.) Young vs (gulp) Thigpen
10.) Is the new kicker getting NOTHING but touchbacks (note: he may be told to pooch it to the corners)
11.) The Battle between the Punters
12.) The fullback vs the H-back
Thats a nice list, could post what you think about all those points after the first pre season game

Ohh man i missed Carrington, i really want to see if he can make any steps forward, the others i missed are Moats and Batten i want to know if they can step it up

I like the lists guys and yeah i am keeping an eye on all rookies pretty much as well, Searcy is an interesting one, i expect him to make some pretty significant strides coming into this season. Rogers and Aiken are others like that. I just want to see how McKelvin adjust to the nickel and see if he has changed his approach at all when the ball is in the air. I'm always excited about Pre season just to watch how the rookies perform.

He is a less accurate less smart, weaker armed version of fitz, who apparently struggles reading defenses according to some scouting reports I've found.
+1 i have read some tweets from BB.com and there was one tweet either yesterday or the day before that said, that Thigpen had thrown two straight picks right at defenders.

Injury Reports, Depth Charts in Pre-season can help, you may be able to find a sleeper late in the draft. Make sure towards the end of the draft you use all the time you got to make sure you get the player(s) possible

I think the most important part will be getting both FJ and CJ on the field at the same time. Both have showed that they can play the slot (FJ: that big catch and run against the Pats/CJ: played numerous times in the slot when we were decimated by injuries). If this means that we have sacrifice some of Freddie's rushing yards just to get CJ some touches then im fine with that. These two can practically carry this Offence if both are clicking on all cylinders. The better these two run, the easier it will be for the passing game to get going.

A great pic by the Bills and Buddy worked the media planting the idea he could only play guard.
From all of the OTA and mini-camp reports plus his college video this kid is going to be very solid at LT for years to come (Didn't laugh at the sidebar comment in the story about Philadelphia ... we only send them our undrafted LT's).
This year's draft combined with last year's has created a very solid team of young players. I really can't think of any team with as much potential success as the Bills last two drafts appear to have given us.

More like young or thigpen suck at throwing the ball, I dont think he would get too many first tema reps more second team i would think

Here is a video from Buffalo bills.com. I know there isnt much highlights on Stevie, but there is highlights on others. Bradham and Merriman on defense.Nelson and Chandler on offense.

Dickerson want do what C Mac does. C Mac is a ground and pound blocker, gets down on the LB and drives them back. Dickerson will not do that he will be split out catch a lot of balls. If Dickerson does block then it will be OLB. Chan has said that Dickerson will not line up as TE but behind the line.
C Mac will get down the field with a head of speed and kill the returner or eat blocks on the returns, no chance Dickerson does that.
