  1. The Pats have been playing these injury report games for years. Still are.

To be honest, I think they are too pompous to care. They believe they'll beat us, regardless.

But I think they're in for a rude awakening on Sunday. Call it a gut feeling.

    BA

BA. . .we establish the run, the porous secondary they have will get SHREDDED with PA passes.

  2. I find it curious that the NFLPA is going to bat for all the other suspended players and not getting involved in the Vilma litigation. What are the local scribes saying about that?

    GO BILLS!!!

The litigation was started by a union member, not the union itself, therefore the union has no obligation to do that. A police officer dismissed or suspended can use the union to appeal, but the responsibility to file the lawsuit if there is grounds (or no grounds) is solely on the injured party. The union has no legal standing.

  3. Langston Walker was absolutley not our biggest free agency bust....the guy was a very servicable RT and a decent LT right up until they decided to go to the no huddle for some unknown reason.

My choices for biggest free agent busts are

    Billy Joe Holbert

That OT we brought in from the Raiders AFTER we brought in Langston Walker

    '

That would be one over the hill Cornell Green. Mr. "I could not block sunlight with my umbrella.

  4. If all you want to go on is final record, maybe you can say that. However, anyone watching knows that last year's Bills team would have mud-stomped even the best of the Jauron teams. Ask the Pats. And with the offseason improvements, we are looking at the best team this town has seen in over a decade.

Yes they have to prove it on the field. But anyone not excited or optimistic at this point, is just trying to be a dick.

Don't forget Mr. False Start Langston Hughes.

  5. for me, it's a tie between TOP and off/def 3rd down conversion because they go hand in hand

keeping a drive alive and killing an opponent's drive.

the bills have been dreadful at this. in this 12 years of garbage, i've noticed the bills can't seem to convert third and short and can't seem to stop third and long.

maybe it comes down to a receiver and a pass rush, but for some reason i always though it was more than that.

    any thoughts?

  6. First of all, Merrison seems like a good OLB but I've never heard of him...

Merriman, however, would be better as a DE because he wouldn't take that many snaps during a game. I can see him being a package OLB though but not very often. If I was the DC, I would try to put all of my playmakers on the field every once in a while.

I just tore my quad and wrote this while using prescribed morphine from my wonderfully inept chinese doctor in nanjing. please give me a little slack.

  7. I will include rotational players only at the first level of subbing:

    LE: M. Williams/S. Johnson

    DT: K. Williams/Troup

    DT: M. Dareus/A. Carrington

    RE: M. Anderson/C. Kelsay

    LLB: S. Merrison/K. Morrison

    MLB: K. Shepperd/T. Carder ®

    RLB: N. Barnett/A. Moats

    CB: A. Williams/T. McGee

    SS: G. Wilson/D. Searcy

    FS: J. Byrd/B. Scott

    CB: S. Gilmore ®/L. McFumbles

Opinions? Will you go to war with that defense?

  8. I was thinking, the 2012 Bills are probably the best team in franchise history...you could say it as the 1965 or 1966 teams, which won AFL cahmpionships, but you have to remember, that was the AFL, not the NFL. And then, you might argue it was one of the four Super Bowl teams, but then, you have to remember that they lost all four Super Bowls, so, they might have only been the 16th (no Carolina and Jacksonville yet) best team in the league in those seasons.

So, with all the players the Bills have added this year, the best available free agent DE in Mario Williams, a name guy at back-up QB in Steve Young, and a nice complimentary pass rusher DE on the other side in Mark Anderson, I feel confident that the 2012 Buffalo Bills are the best team in the history of the franchise. All that, along with keeping the core of last years 6-10 team make me feel like the sky is the limit!!!! Thoughts?

Win the AFC in convincing fashion this year and I will share your optimism!

  9. Skip Bayless tweeted this:

"Vince Young eventually will be the starting quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, who'll start causing problems in the AFC East."

If memory serves me, Skip once similarly said that VY will beat out Vick for the starting job in Philly.

What do you guys say? Will VY ever start ahead of a healthy Fitz?

    Personally, I don't think so.

By the way, Bayless is not a guy who I think is very accurate or knowledgeable when he reports on the NFL. Nonetheless, I did like reading that the Bills will "start causing problems in the AFC East."

He's a guy in his 50s named Skip. Enough said. And I am quoting George Carlin.

  10. Really? An Olineman who can play all positions and a DB with elite size and speed have high bust potential? link:http://www.profootballweekly.com/

Of course they do. . .remember who drafted them. If the Cheaters of New England drafted them the media would be getting ready to shine their already made busts for Canton. But because it's the Bills. . .they will be draft busts.

Remember, the Mario Williams signing also does nothing, according to the media. The Bills are a bad team with or without Mario Williams.

The anti-Bills bias has never stopped in the national football media.

If it isn't the Giants, Patriots, Jets, Steelers, Cowboys, Saints, Bears, Packers or the darling of the current season, everyone else is garbage!

Skip Bayless says "I am a complete and total douchebag who doesn't know his a-hole from his elbow."

  12. Warren Sapp, a future Hall of Famer and current NFL Network analyst, has filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in Florida on claims he racked up millions in debt to several creditors.

Sapp owes more than $6.7 million in debt to creditors and back child support and alimony. The outstanding amount outweighs Sapp’s 6.45 million in assets, which will be liquidated as a result of his filing for Chapter 7.

Sapp lists his current income as $45,000 per month from NFL Network. His contract with the network expires in August 2012. Over a 12-year NFL career, Sapp made well over $40 million with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders

Do any of these guys know how to save and live responsibly?

Owens, Cecil Fielder, Lenny Dykstra, Warren Sapp.

He went bankrupt with NFL contracts and an NFL network contract worth 45K a month? 45K a month 540K a year. What a tool.
