If the lockout continues until the start of the season, wouldn't the drafted players be able to play as "replacements" since they technically are not under contract yet?

Cam newton will make the offense better, even if he just runs options with spiller but if they pick him Gailey will definitely use him this year. And dareus makes the defense better. either pic id be happy with

I feel like Gailey will be able to use Newton in the offense this year alot, even with Fitz obviously getting most of the snaps. We'll be able to throw a ton of different looks at defenses each week, especially with newton and spiller in the back field. We would have to the two most dangerous scoring threats from college in the past two years.
