  1. Dude, do us a favor and google AWOL. The fact you believe this is a derogatory term says all that needs to be said regarding the amount of respect your posts deserve. Keep that fabric helmet on bud, save whatever brain cells you have.
  2. Per Adam Schefter Calais Campbell was tagged by Cradinals.
  3. Totally agree. Who cares what arbitrary number you assign each receiver, the nelson/jennings point nails it exactly. Bottom line, if we let SJ walk we are left with two WR holes to fill instead of one. How could you say he is not a #1 after he posted back-to-back 1000 yd season on a marginal team, out performed Sweet Lee and made him expendable. The BIlls were already gained value by not having to overpay for SJ in his initial contract, we found a gem in the 7th rd and developed him into a quality NFL starter. We should pay him what the market dictates and try and get another WR to play opposite him. I think Garcon would be a great fit for this role. Thoughts? Go Bills.
  4. Rumor from ESPN... A Suitor for Evans?? UPDATE: Mike Jurecki of XTRA Sports 910 has reported that the Arizona Cardinals are "showing interest" in acquiring wide receiver Lee Evans from the Buffalo Bills. The issue could be trade cost: remember, the Cards are without their second-rounder for 2012 after the Kevin Kolb trade. We're still not entirely convinced the Bills actually want to trade the potentially explosive WR who is under contract at a very reasonable rate for the next two seasons. But if they are, the Cards do make sense on some level. --- During an appearance on WGR-550 AM in Buffalo back in June, Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick hinted that we could be seeing more targets for Lee Evans this season. "I'm looking to get [Evans] way more involved in the offense this year," Fitzpatrick confirmed. However, Dan Pompei of National Football Post presents a different idea within his "Sunday Blitz" column: the team could be looking to trade the Wisconsin product. "The Bills have a crowd at the receiver position after the acquisition of Brad Smith. The former Jet joins Lee Evans, Steve Johnson and Robert Parrish, so don't be surprised if the Bills part ways with Evans," Pompei writes. "The veteran had a down year in 2010 with only 37 catches, and he could have some trade value. Interesting parties have been sniffing around." As we know, Smith has been designated as a quarterback by the team, and he's expected to play a versatile role all over the field, not just wideout. Moreover, with all respect due to Johnson for his breakout season in 2010, the team doesn't have another player of Evans' caliber on the roster. In addition, according to Rotoworld, Evans is under contract with the team for base salaries of $3.275 million (plus $1.5 million in roster bonuses each year), which is a very organization-friendly price. Unless the teams that are "sniffing around" are also willing to part with significant assets, it wouldn't seem like trading Evans would be of great benefit to the team. - Tim Kavanagh
  5. if we get olsen and a pick for evans, I am into it.
  6. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/features/rumors UPDATE: ESPN NFC West blogger Mike Sando looks at the rebuilt Seattle offensive line and likes what he sees -- a lot (see below). --- ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Robert Gallery's long-rumored move to the Seattle Seahawks is a done deal. The former Oakland Raiders guard will sign a three-year deal. This virtually assures that Seattle will not be a bidder in the Tyson Clabo derby. Good for us! Hopefully we can snag him!
  7. The journey of Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich will continue as a New York Giant, he tweeted. Herzlich's inspirational path overcoming cancer captured the hearts of millions. Now Herzlich merely hopes he can capture a roster spot as an undrafted free agent. He was once the top rated defensive prospect by National Recruiting services prior to his illness, and the Giants hope he returns to form after a subpar senior campaign. And Herzlich will get the opportunity to compete on a Giants' squad with a clear weakness along its second line of defense. - Brent Sobleski From espn insider
  8. I am sure someone will pay him. I do not think it will be us. Obviously these rankings mean only so much, but he is obviously viewed as a safety in the top half in the league. There are teams in much worse shape at the position and probably feel like he is on the upswing in his career, being only 26 years old.
  9. What are everyone's thoughts on the newest positional power ranking by ESPN? http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/27282/power-rankings-top-10-nfl-safeties 1. Troy Polamalu, Pittsburgh Steelers 2. Ed Reed, Baltimore Ravens 3. Nick Collins, Green Bay Packers 4. Adrian Wilson, Arizona Cardinals 5. Eric Berry, Kansas City Chiefs 6. Michael Griffin, Tennessee Titans 7. Donte Whitner, Buffalo Bills 8. B. Meriweather, New England Patriots 9. Antrel Rolle, New York Giants 10. LaRon Landry, Washington Redskins 10. Antoine Bethea, Indianapolis Colts I think this hurts the Bills' chances of resigning Whitner. This will only inflate his ego and make him less likely to decrease his salary demands if he thinks people view him in this light. As much as I think he is overrated, he is still a serviceable safety and Searcy is an unknown quantity if he was drafted as his replacement.
