It's not the play call by itself, its the call combined with the talent. There was single coverage on the outside. If romo throws that to bryant on the same play it's is a high percentage play.

Thats why I'm actually enjoying the Pats win. Ryan is a classless slob. At least when we've lost to the pats for the last decade, they've showed class.

Do you not remember in '07 when we were getting destroyed by 40 something points, Brady was still gunslinging and they were going for 4th downs? Sure, it's our job to stop them but that's classless.

we don't exactly need a marquee FA to upgrade the WR position. I think a simple with a better veteran reciever would do wonders. doesn't have to be anyone major. though if it were up to me, I would go after meachum. But I doubt the bills show any interest.

I thought Stevie had a better shot to get the first down.
And like I said, this wasn't a one time occurrance. Fitz (or Chan) seem to pick the worst times to go deep

Over head view showed Stevie had separation on a little 3 yard slant. Could have got us the first down, but again Fitz, for some reason doesnt like going to his left...
I saw that as well.
Jones made a nice move on the corner, but he never really had enough separation to justify a pass. Stevie was open, but it looked like Jones was the first read all along. It was a pretty immediate decision on Fitz' part

Everyone else was covered if you look at the replay, Simms said as much during the broadcast. Jones was the closest one to being open.
It's not just this game. It seems to happen at least once every game and I don't think I've ever seen it succeed.

Apparently our entire offense is predicated on dinking and dunking, screens and running. We stick with this philosophy 99.9% of the time with mixed results. But numerous times this year I see the Bills in a 3rd or 4th and short go deep to Stevie or Jones with an almost guaranteed incompletion.
I'd love for Chan to try these plays throughout the game to keep the defenses honest, but during the most crucial parts of the game(s), you'd think they'd stick to a higher percentage play.
Am I the only one who's noticed this? Thoughts... It drives me crazy when I see it.

Why does McKelvin get so much hate on here and the other useless corners are just not talked about? I'm not saying McKelvin is good, but Florence and McGee are just as bad, if not worse right now.

I mean...Granted Jones is not among the best #2 WR's in the NFL...But from what I saw today he's out there fighting for every inch, getting open, and he would have had 2 TD's were it not for poor Passes by Fitz...
If Donald Jones was this Teams biggest problem they would be 8-1...I don't know why his name even comes up...It's not his fault the Team has no legit #1 WR...If Jones was the 3rd or 4th WR on this Team he would be incredible...
Donald Jones is a borderline NFL player. Being a second receiver on any team is terrible.
Nothing against Jones, but he's just not very talented.
