  1. I'll light the fire
You put the flowers in the vase that you bought today
Staring at the fire for hours and hours while I listen to you
Play your love songs all night long for me, only for me
Come to me now and rest your head for just five minutes, everything is good
Such a cozy room, the windows are illuminated by the
Sunshine through them, fiery gems for you, only for you
Our house is a very, very, very fine house with two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy 'cause of you

  2. Ah, watch out
You might get what you're after
    Cool babies
    Strange but not a stranger
    I'm an ordinary guy
    Burning down the house

    Hold tight
    Wait 'til the party's over
    Hold tight
    We're in for nasty weather
There has got to be a way
    Burning down the house

  3. I didn't even have the sense to know
    What I was missing
Or what I was soon to feel for
    You the laughter
    You a reason to live
You the object of all the love I can give

    And all that I possess
You who meant nothing when I was younger

  4. Hey, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend?
When people can be so cold
They'll hurt you and desert you
Well, they'll take your soul if you let them
Oh, yeah, but don't you let them

You just call out my name
And, you know, wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again
Oh, baby don't you know 'bout
    Winter, spring, summer or fall
Hey, now, all you've got to do is call
Lord, I'll be there, yes, I will
    You've got a friend

  5. Until you've seen this trash can dream come true
You stand at the edge while people run you through
    And I thank the Lord
There's people out there like you
I thank the Lord there's people out there like you

  6. Desperado, oh, you ain't gettin' no younger
Your pain and your hunger, they're drivin' you home
And freedom, oh freedom, well that's just some people talkin'
Your prison is walking through this world all alone

My redditor/weed-smoker detector has never once failed actually. Their spirit is clearly clouded by a miasma

My friends who smoked pot either still smoke pot and are ambition-sapped fast food addicts driven solely by hedonism, or no longer smoke pot

Maybe look into recalibrating that detector.  It has a lazy thinking kind of ironic miasma about it.

  8. You're an accident waiting to happen
You're a piece of glass left there on a beach.
    Well you tell me things
I know you're not supposed to
Then you leave me just out of reach.

Who's gonna ride your wild horses?
Who's gonna drown in your blue sea?

  9. Hold on to your friends
    Hold on to your friends
    Resist - or move on
    Be mad, be rash
    Smoke and explode
    Sell all of your clothes
    Just bear in mind:
Oh, there just might come a time
    When you need some friends

    (Welcome back Cole!)

  10. Shiny happy people laughing

Meet me in the crowd, people, people
Throw your love around, love me, love me
Take it into town, happy, happy
Put it in the ground where the flowers grow
    Gold and silver shine

  11. Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that life is showing you?
    Where are you going to?
    Do you know?

Do you get what you're hoping for?
When you look behind you, there's no open doors
    What are you hoping for?
    Do you know?

If Allen had 3 interceptions in a 6-point win against a 3-9 (now 3-10) team, this board would be just as upset.

Mahommes did have 3 interceptions today and The Chiefs had to hold their breath as Denver almost pulled out a win after being down 3 scores.  And I read above an envious comment on how KC "took care of business" today.  And Bills D allows 10 points, almost maims the opposing QB with a vicious pass rush and you would think we gave up a 40 burger.

I think that we all get a bit too fixated on what it has to look like, and miss the bigger picture.  This was never going to be an easy game.  In difficult conditions we took care of the ball and got out with a W.  The other team, a very good team, cannot say the same.

  13. On the turning away
    From the pale and downtrodden
    And the words they say
    Which we won't understand

    Don't accept that what's happening
Is just a case of others' suffering
Or you'll find that you're joining in
    The turning away

  14. Then came the day at the bottom of the mine
When a timber cracked and men started cryin'
Miners were prayin' and hearts beat fast
And everybody thought that they'd breathed their last, 'cept John

Through the dust and the smoke of this man-made hell
Walked a giant of a man that the miners knew well
Grabbed a saggin' timber, gave out with a groan
And like a giant oak tree he just stood there alone, big John
    (Big John, big John)
    Big bad John (big John)

  15. There comes a redeemer, and he slowly too fades away
And there follows his wagon behind him that's loaded with clay
And the seeds that were silent all burst into bloom, and decay
And night comes so quiet, it's close on the heels of the day

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world
The heart has it's beaches, it's homeland and thoughts of it's own
Wake now, discover that you are the song that the morning brings
But the heart has it's seasons, it's evenings and songs of it's own

  16. Marvin, he was a friend of mine
And he could sing his song
    His heart in every line
Marvin, sang of the joy and pain
    He opened up our minds
And I still can hear him say
Oh talk to me, so you can see, what's goin' on
Say you will, sing your songs, for evermore, evermore

Too slow and sometimes unnecessary.  Stop coddling some of these guys and let them fly. The days of holding clipboards are over. Sink or swim.

Just a hunch, but I don't think it's coddling at all.  McDermott is firm in his culture of nobody being handed a job regardless of draft status or how they arrived on the roster.  In the immortal words of The Smiths;  "You just haven't earned it yet baby".

  18. What happened here
As the New York sunset disappeared
I found an empty garden among the flagstones there
    Who lived here
He must have been a gardener that cared a lot
Who weeded out the tears and grew a good crop
And now it all looks strange
It's funny how one insect can damage so much grain

  19. I said (can't explain)
I'm feeling good now, yeah, but (can't explain)

Dizzy in the head and I'm feeling blue
The things you've said, well, maybe they're true
I'm gettin' funny dreams again and again
I know what it means, but

    Can't explain
    I think it's love
Try to say it to you
    When I feel blue

I remember when holding was actually a 15 yard penalty.

    Ah, fun times!

A young Bills tackle, Ken Jones actually changed his number from 69 to 72 in attempt to stop/trick refs from looking to flag his number automatically on pass plays.  Rule was changed to a simple 10 yard penalty in 1978.  About that time, Ken Jones (coincidentally?) became one of the better tackles in the league.
