  1. I've met several Pats* fans who are life long fans.  They're actually nice folks since they've lived through the lean years of the 1990s when we typically beat them twice a year, and have admitted as much.  They know they're fortunate and view the last five or so years as icing on the cake as they realize Brady is on borrowed time; that when he's done the party is over.

It's the new, bandwagon fans who are the arrogant, condescending, insufferable pricks.  They'll all go away once the Pats* start to suck again.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what happened to Glenn between the Raiders and Jets game because he literally went from one of the best performances of his career to one of the worse.

Either way McD values guys you can depend on a weekly basis and Glenn has had way to many issues the last few years to justify keeping him around beyond this season. Best case we can land a 3rd or 4th round pick for him in a trade during the offseason.

You're probably getting ahead of yourself with the trade talk.  Prior to, and during most of, last season Glenn has been reliable.  I think a lot of players go through a point where they sustain an injury streak; Glenn may be going through his now.  Wouldn't trade him based on this since Glenn has been an above average tackle who has been reliable for the most part, and is in his prime.

    Looks like 8-8 to me.

They got some nice breaks with QBs being out, but they'll lose one of those "easy" games, IMO. I can even see them losing this weekend.

Unless someone takes out Brady's knee, this ain't happening.

Well, they play the Broncos this Sunday; Vonn Miller might come up big.

I'm not ready to give the division to the Cheats.

Castillo needs to go.  Everything else about the OLine is uncertain until that happens.

Here in Ravens-land, fans were not the least bit sorry to see him go.  I think of Castillo as the Ravens' revenge on us for the Lee Evans trade.

Lee Evans only dropped a few passes.  Castillo's OLine scheme and coaching is going to get both Shady and Tyrod killed.

  5. I doubt they change the entire O-Line.  My guess is they keep Wood, Richie, and Glenn.  The right side does need to be changed.  Even though Ducasse is Castillo's pet project, McD has to watch the film on him and think 'no way, this guy sucks.'  Mills is there because there has not been any better option.  Hopefully he'll be depth next year.

Jerrah's got a beef with Goodell. To the post I've read saying things like Ralph would set him straight, Goodell is doing great etc I think you're misguided. Ralph would not and Goodell certainly is not.

Ratings are starting to tank and more and more teams may see less and less people in the stands, parents are stopping their kids from playing the game, Bob Costas saying the end is near for the game of football, (he's a little douche by the way) so many mishandled events by Goodell and this is starting to impact the bottom line.

Tim and Kerry are next up to build a new playpen with all this going on. Great time to be an owner of an NFL team I guess right? The devil you know in this case represent both sides of owners vs Goodell. Get him out. So I see this as a pick em lol.

You mean Kim and Terry, as in the Pegulas?  I wouldn't be in a hurry to build a new stadium if I was in their position.  If I were an owner, I would not support renewing Goodell's contract.  He's just about killed the goose that laid the golden egg.  Time for a new Commissioner.

Teams eventually figure out how to combat everything - that's why you have to adapt, change, and "be multiple".  If you do one thing and expect that it's always going to work, you will be unemployed soon.  Rex basically admitted that teams had "caught up" to his defense the week before he was canned.

    This ^^^.

I must have missed the part where Rex admitted this, shocking if true.  But no surprise he had no idea how to adapt and make changes.

Ha! Obviously you are not aware of the draconian rules the Patriots enforce on their season ticket holders. Allow me to inform you.

First off, the Pats have a wait list in the tens of thousands. So the team has no problem revoking season tickets for bad behavior. That extends to people you sell your tickets to.

The only exception is if you sell your tickets through NFL Ticket Exchange. You are protected if you do. But there is a catch. Only people on the Pats wait list are allowed to buy game tickets on TicketExchange. (Of course you have to pay a hefty fee for that privilege.)

So now you are blocked from buying on TicketExchange unless you pay Krafty Bob for the privilege. And if you try to sell your season tickets on StubHub or even directly, you risk losing your tickets.

So good luck taking over Gillette.

That's quite a racket they have going.  Guess this shouldn't be surprising.

  9. The quality of the NFL games has gone down from even just a couple of years ago.

Games are being dragged out when pretty much every play is scrutinized by review.  Too many rules that limit the play of the defensive side of the ball; almost impossible to play defense anymore.  Also, the NFL is constantly in your face; some of this has to do with the emergence of NFLN, and the Thursday night games which need to go.

In my opinion, the protests and politics is speeding up the NFL's demise.  Most people want to watch and follow football to get away from the rest of the world for a few hours, and not be barraged by politics, color rush, thug culture, etc.

This has all happened under Goodell's watch.  His reign as Commissioner needs to come to an end and get someone in there who will restore a more traditional NFL game without all the extraneous nonsense.  I actually agree with Jerry Jones that Goodell's contract extension should be blocked.  First time I've ever agreed with Jerruh.

Haha.  I saw the Redskins game the other night, and thought that was him playing guard.  Brother?

Yes, that is Cyrus' brother.  Arie was originally drafted by the Redskins, then cut and went to the Raven's practice squad.  Signed again by the Redskins several weeks ago because their OL is decimated by injuries.

I’vve Seen stuff in some stores for a month! It’s like an arms race - it just keeps getting earlier and earlier!

My mom usually starts her Christmas shopping in like July/August.  I personally can't start thinking about Christmas until after Thanksgiving weekend.  Have to give turkey day its due...still my favorite holiday.  Beer, food, football...what's not to love?

See Cleveland vs buffalo, 8-0 in the blizzard.

There was also a game against the Giants where it poured all game and was windy.  All points scored at one end zone.  Giants win the game in Buffalo.

I'd prefer to say the cold has not advantage vs warm weather/dome teams than the other elements but that's probably also not true.  Could be because it didn't impact the visiting team or the lack of good teams we have had in the past 2 decades.

Agree that we've had some bad and ill-prepared teams over the past 20 years.

My point was that I don't believe most players enjoy playing in the bad weather and do not think the cold/snow is an advantage.
