  1. for some reason, the three man rush doesn't seem to be getting much pressure on Brady. sigh.
  2. It doesn't matter, its the rule. No props. And its not like he didn't know this.
  3. how many points do you think the SJ benching cost us? (not that I disagree; it was the right thing to do). I'm going to say 7.
  4. we have red-hot Fitz, but I still get frustrated with the lack of run calls, especially with the big lead
  5. if only we could play the patsies 16 times a year
  6. a perfect throw and catch finishes up a perfect 10 minutes of football
  7. beautiful play, beautiful route by SJ, terrible throw
  8. to hell with draft position...beat the patsies
  9. Phrases like "regression to the mean" and "law of averages" are made up phrases typically used by people who are extremely limited mathematically. They don't appear in any textbook. For "regression to the mean" to have any possible meaning, one has to define what "mean" one is talking about, and the sense in which one "regresses" to it. What I think people think they mean when they say something like this is the "law of large numbers," where the *mean* approaches some true value after a large number of trials. The law of large numbers does nothing to help predict a single outcome, such as the performance in a single game. This article is complete utter nonsense.
  10. I hate the Redskins. I have had to live in the greater DC area for the last 8 years, and the Redskins are an obsession here. The fans are whiny and entitled, the media is full of knee-jerk hacks, and whenever there is a home game, the beltway is a parking lot (more so than usual). Their owner is one of the worst human beings alive (the worst you can say about Wilson is that he is cheap; Snyder is just an awful person) and they have a truly offensive "mascot." I hate the Redskins.
  11. They also gave up 450+ yards all those games and dug holes of 20+ points two games. The wins were in spite of the defense, not because of it.
  12. That is a whole lot of reaching right there.
  13. I think you make a good point. But 1) like others have said, its a weak division and 2) you won't be able to attract the best coaches if you get a reputation as an organization that you are too quick to fire people. I say give him one more year and then give him the axe if he doesn't make the playoffs.
  14. JW wrote an article strongly suggesting that this was the case. I can't find the original artile, but here is the Sullivan article referencing it. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/columns/jerry-sullivan/article539932.ece
  15. You mean besides James Hardy? I'm willing to bet 99% of the posters here had never heard of Gronk last draft. Its pretty easy now to say we should have drafted him. If we knew then what we know now, we would have used our 1st rounder on him.
  16. Great QB, but not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. I remember his days on ESPN and cringing regularly. I'm guessing that there are better options. And the wind has been completely taken out of the D's sail.
  17. that one hurt. say what you want about him but he is tough.
  18. Fitz has been terrible so far, no argument here. But when I watch the replays I'm not seeing the WRs get much (any) separation (except for the overthrow on Stevie.)
  19. On the bright side this is the hardest the D has played all year. No way you call that dead; he was still moving foward.
  20. Give me a break Solomon...you're going to pin that on Stevie? Really? That ball was underthrown by 10 yards.
  21. Surely you jest? Or have you only been following the Bills for the last 3 years?
  22. I'm starting to develop an irrational Brad Smith hatred.
  23. Congrats on being the black sheep on a lousy defense Florence. Well done.
  24. Do you have a link/source? I was just about to comment that the D play calling seemed to be *a lot* more creative today.
  25. Chan should know better. Raynor is only reliable from beyond 54 yards.
