Agreed, but domes/enclosed facilities have come a long way since the Superdome was built.  Indy, Minnesota, Atlanta have amazing enclosed stadiums.

You think? I was at that Brian Brohm game in Atlanta in 2009, and I thought the translucent roof made the lighting weird. Felt like the stadium was lit by fluorescent tubes.

I'm a little confused by the line "I may die of covid, but I'd rather die actually living."  Is he saying that if you get the vaccine, you're not actually living?  Like, might it not be easier to get back to normal life with the vaccine?  Seemed like a good enough reason for me...

It’s the same twisted logic as “don’t live your life in fear.”

So should we also do away with stop signs? Look straight ahead and stomp that gas pedal, for freedom!

You’d think based on some people’s reaction that vaccines had just been invented instead of being around for over 100 years. Most people get dozens of them over the course of their lives. Apparently this one is an outrage however.

Yes. Only one “side” of the debate made vaccines another imaginary wedge issue in their BS culture wars.

  4. Loved the National Lampoons Clark Griswold reference. “This is crazy, this is crazy!”

I know these are total PR puff pieces but that was fun to watch. Rousseau seems like a genuinely sweet kid, and yet is so physically imposing. The Groot nickname fits him perfectly.

Loved Boogie’s emotion when he got the call.

it’s funny you say that— when I think of New Orleans, all I can think of is the smell of urine, vomit, and marijuana mixed together.

I was there once for a conference. Wandered around, felt like a humid Las Vegas. Drunk idiots everywhere with giant neon drinks. Meh.

So you're a Bills fan and pay money for Jets season tickets?

I have a buddy who is a Pats fan but has Bills season tickets. He runs a massive tailgate too, always cooks up breakfast and lunch for everyone, only charges cost for food and drinks. It’s how he’s managed to not be killed the last 12-15 years or so.

I doubt it. As a Rochesterian, I love having them here. But the writing was already kind of on the wall that they were basically riding out the contract and that they preferred their new fancy digs they had built in Buffalo. So why would they go out of their way to come up with a plan and expose themselves to unnecessary risk when it's not required and they probably don't even want to in the first place? Even *if* they did - I'd expect it to be a very limited engagement. One in which it's ticketed, basically invite only for sponsors, and the type that would be in the VIP tents in previous years.

As the type who was in the VIP tent in previous years, I approve of this plan.

  8. I bought this online from New Era, but it’s too big, even for my big Irish potato head. Size is 7 7/8. Rather than pay for shipping back to New Era for a refund, I’d be happy to let it go to a TBD friend for $30 shipped (price was $40 + shipping). I’ve done ticket transactions on TBD before and can provide a reference. Let me know!
