Good for him. Sounds like a great gig for a trainer, pretty much top of the heap.

Holy **** what a terrible call to start the game.
I don’t think the NFL is fixed but a terrible call in favor of KC to start the game sure isn’t going to help quiet that narrative.
Like Bill Burr said after our loss a few weeks ago, does he think things are “fixed”? No. But they are “massaged.” -

I've been arguing with (mainly kc fans) all week on Twitter regarding the refs. There's seems to be a mis understanding between favoring and outright cheating.
KC fans seem to think that bills fans think that the Chiefs and refs are just out right cheating and winning the games for kc. The reality is, the Chiefs get favorable calls, which greatly reduces the margin for error for the opposing team.
Example 1 - Mahomes takes a deep shot to worthy where Cole Bishop jumps to intercept ball. Ball hits ground with no clear possession between worthy or bishop, but refs call a complete pass to worthy, a play or 2 later, Chiefs score 7 points. Now, imagine if this play was called incomplete. Kc maybe doesn't get a td, or maybe bills hold them to a fg, or maybe they get no points. So, kc gets a favorable call and walks away with 7
Example 2 - Josh Allen is marked short of the 1st down on 4th down. 99% of football fans would tell you he got it. The other 1% are kc fans that say he never crossed the line, even though we have over head angles clearly showing he got. Ball goes back to kc who goes down the field and scores 7 points. Now, imagine if the refs call 1st down and the bills score. They take a possible 8 point lead, or 4 point lead with a fg. Or possibly punt, who knows. But again, a favorable call that swings the Chiefs way that greatly shrinks the margin for error for the bills.
Are the refs out right cheating? No, but they are swinging games.
Bill Burr this week said he doesn’t feel the games are rigged, but they are massaged.-

I’m fine. I learned a long time ago to not waste too much energy on ***** I can’t control. I give myself 24 hours to mope over sports-related disappointment and then move on.
It does do my heart good to see how many people far removed from BillsMafia are howling about the questionable calls. Plenty of people are bitching on our behalf. Saw a funny clip of Bill Burr on Rich Eisen’s show saying he doesn’t think things are “fixed” but they definitely get “massaged.”

I have a new guitar arriving this week. In the back of my mind I knew I’d have that as my little thing to look forward to this week if the game turned out the way it did. Gotta find the joy where we can.

Because we didn’t go to the game. We were at the last two ***** divisional games. We skipped last night. You’re all welcome.

Across WNY, the McDermott pitchforks are being taken out of their closets to be cleaned and oiled.

I don't know how this team with so many achilles heels and so poorly coached can be up 14-0 on the best team in football. Luck I suppose.
Pitchforks and torches with McDermott’s name on them are slowly being returned to their sheds. Until next time we go down a score.-

My opinion of him hasn’t really changed, I’m just glad he had enough success early on to buy himself time to get into a good groove. I’ve always looked at the Steelers as the model of consistent success. Stable ownership and only four head coaches in like 60 years, and Tomlin’s never had a losing season.
When we hired him, I didn’t know if he’d be the next Mike Tomlin (W&M teammates aside), but I knew that the next Mike Tomlin wouldn’t be a splashy name, rather a smart young guy who has earned and is getting his first HC gig. And if you hit it right (along with QBs) your coaching staff and thus entire franchise can be a stable, consistent, winning unit for 20+ years.
So far so good. An AFC title and a Lombardi are the only things left that would really cement it.

words to the fans as much as the players.
Yup. I was barely a teenager during the Super Bowl runs, young and dumb and just thought “well of course your team just goes to the championship every year, this isn’t special.” Not so much. Savor what you can while you can.-

You guys don’t get it. Cooper just doesn’t have that killer instinct man. He’s weak. Now excuse me while I pull a groin muscle getting off the couch to get my uber eats cheeseburgers.

Good west coast sushi is worlds apart from anything I’ve found in WNY. Part of it is city size/population, but part of it is also proximity to the pacific where so many of those yummy fish live.

F*x obviously has his rights so they should use a Animated AI with T*m Br*dy's face and voice like Max Headroom. They could more animated commentator.
Nah, I know anyone on this forum feels like punching themselves for saying it, and I sure do, but he’s a solid color commentator.
Romo’s insights were good but the overdone enthusiasm got old real quick. Every single play isn’t to decide a championship.
Chris “Now Here’s a Guy” Collinsworth is just a dunderhead, now responsible for shoving his dunderhead son in all our faces.
Brady is way more even keeled than those numbnuts.

Another plus is that COleman is smart enough not to lose control and usually disengages very quickly.
Yeah, he’s definitely not a high strung guy. His demeanor at his draft press conference I think told us all we need to know about his personality. Chill and funny, seems like a genuine good dude.-

I don't necessarily disagree but those two were after each other right from the get go and I think stripes recognized they were sort of doing it respectfully.
You'll get some latitude when it's going like that.
I thought he went over and patted Woolen on the helmet after the TD. But they were definitely going back and forth giving each other the business prior to that. Seemed like good-natured ***** talking to me.-

It sucks or whatever, but I never really blame these guys for “holdout” tactics. NFL players have so little leverage overall when it comes to contracts and guaranteed money. Agree it’s a risky game for an RB to play though.
