Mallett may sound slow, but when I heard him talk about football with Gruden, I saw a QB. He loved to talk football and seemed enthusiastic. Definately plus.

He never played at Florida and I don't want to hear about his tenure at Brinn or whatever JUCO school he went to. Mallett, Locker, Gabbert all went through their X's and O's with Gruden or SOMETHING about football. Any reason why Gruden never went over football talk with Newton? From what I saw from the video, he didn't talk football at all. I'd want a QB that doesn't shut up about the game. Even Mallett who sounded like a complete retard lit up and talked X's and O's with Gruden which was cool in my book. Locker and Mallett actually talked through their thought process and knowledge of the game. Newton just talked about shooting "guns" and what he thinks of how people perceive him. Everything about him just wreaks of bs.

I just traded for Hillis on my fantasy team. He better not grace the cover and get hurt.

It is that simple. Coach reads a number. He looks at his band of plays. THen he hikes the ball. Makes one read. If it's there, then throw it. If its not he runs it. Doesn't take a genius to run that offense.

I hope Vick gets it and ends up as the next victim of the Madden curse.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNoYxbvKxXE I found a better video on Quinn. I've noticed in a lot of his videos that he shows GREAT discipline. Of all his characteristics, I like the fact that he plays under control. He's not just going 100 miles per hour to the ball. I like Quinn.

If we take Gabbert, Locker or Ponder, I'd be ecstatic. Newton or Kaepernick, not so much.

McCoy had a VERY productive rookie season, so I don't know what the big deal is. Suh's numbers are EPIC and just unreal for a rookie DT. 3 sacks, 4 pass defensed and 2 forced fumbles in 13 games, is very good for a rookie DT in my book.

With this team? Nope. With the Steelers/Jets/Ravens defense? yes. I'd say that Peyton Manning is the only QB in the NFL right now that can single handedly carry his team to the show with an inferior defense.

Can you really do all that stuff from the bench?

Does it really surprise anybody that he doesn't understand the art of quarterbacking? But thank god he can run. This is such a dummy offense (yet effective) in terms of play calling and reads. It's mindblowing. Did he do anything at all that will translate well to the next level?

If McFarlane wants people to take this poll seriously, he should at least take the time and learn to spell the player's names right.

I agreee with almost everything that was said with the exception of Dilfer's comments on Newton obviously. Just because they're negative comment's, doesn't mean its not true.

Robert Quinn > Jordan and Miller.

Of course you've never seen anything tremendous from him on the football field. You've never even heard of him until the combine. So how can you have seen someone you didn't know even existed until then?

Yes. Because our "impact player" from last year's draft served us so well. You think AJ Green will be an "impact" player for us off the bat? A WR has a big learning curve as well, so I wouldn't expect much from him in his rookie year.

Why is Wilson being compared to Miller? 2 COMPLETELY different positions in a LB scheme. That's like comparing a tackle to a guard. This is just plain ridiculous.
