Hard to watch that whole thing and not think this team is going to the Super Bowl.  Josh as confident as I ever remember.

He had that knowing smirk throughout the interview.  The one that Brady had and I’d think “sh*t, they are going to win it all (again).”

  2. I’m sorry, there is no chance they go 11-6 and miss the playoffs. I don’t care what absurd, needle-thread scenario one comes up with. It’s not going to happen. The notion that just Miami wins at home this weekend AND on the road at Baltimore, after coming up small in every big game this year… and we aren’t even talking about the other 8-6 bubble teams that are all playing backup qb’s right now. I reject it.

The dark art of gamesmanship is part of being a talented player.

Tom Brady is the biggest whiner, the biggest bitcher, and the biggest cheat who ever played, except for his coach. Nobody's ever going to take his rings or pull the banners down at Gillette. The NFL has said that loud and clear.

If Josh wants to flop in a stiff breeze, go ahead Josh.  If he wants to stiffarm Aaron Donald or truck Kyle Van Noy, go ahead Josh.

If you are going to choose, Kyle Van Noy > Aaron Donald.

When the Bills win-out and take the AFC East, there will be conversations about whether Allen is the league MVP.

    Only competition will be Purdy.

I cannot believe that noodle-armed QB is an MVP candidate. Any one of us could run that offense with those skills players, and put up decent numbers. Two of his touchdown passes yesterday, there wasn’t even a defender on the screen.  McCaffrey fell down, got back up, and still scored untouched.

KC is pretty close to an elite defense this year...I didn't think we would keep it up all game long on offense.  They are the only team that hasn't allowed 30 points all season yet.

Allen was under duress most of the second half and sometimes only with a 3 man rush...that can't happen, they have to better up front.

Allen makes a super human play and you have drops, or a holding call to kill drives in the second half. The dude was under constant duress against the Super Bowl champ in their house with the mo on their side. That’s a big-time win.

Unpopular opinion: With two timeouts, Allen would have taken us down and scored the winning TD if Toney hadn't been Offside.

I think it was three timeouts actually. McDermott called the first timeout to set the D on 4th and 15, pre-Mahomes meltdown.

Sport is stupid. In many ways I felt more confident coming off the Eagles game after a loss than I do tonight coming off a win. But all of the issues they had prior to Dorset’s sacking raised their ugly head tonight - Josh looking uncomfortable, awful O Line, execution errors, terrible play calling. If they don’t work it out it’ll be 7-7 after next week.

I thought Josh played out of his mind with the OL becoming turnstile.

As is often the case, the freak out factor about a player on this board is beyond actual reality on the field.

I don’t know - the difference between an above average defense and elite is Matt Milano. Milano of the last three years is one of the most disruptive linebackers I’ve ever seen - in both the run and pass game, which is unique.

We also need to face the reality that the Bills defense was owned in all three meetings against the Bengals as well dating back to the Hamlin game. Given how the two most recent meetings went I absolutely believe the Bills were well on their way to giving up a second TD to start that game before Hamlin went down. So that is three straight games against the Bengals that all started TD, TD for their offense. That is unacceptable. On top of that it has always felt like the Bengals could get meaningful yards and a scoring drive whenever they really needed it. The drives they wouldn't get points were more about their own miscues rather than the Bills D forcing them into bad situations.

Bengals are an all-around bad match up for the Bills right now for whatever reason.

My observation is that this McDermott/Frazier defense struggles when teams are content to work 5-7 yards and in (a lot like our game plan against the Jets).  Get the running game working, get to second and manageable, 3rd and short, make the run and pass viable, utilize play action and misdirection, repeat, sustain long drives.

Burrow is literally the master at this type of offense, in my opinion, given his decision-making and accuracy. Death by a million cuts. And what the Bengals are currently able to do, but probably will not be able to do as consistently after Higgins leaves for the big contract, is convert the 3rd and long after a penalty takes them out of the 5-7 yards and in offense.

In my view, this is what is killing the Bills in these matchups. They (finally) get the Bengals off-script due to a penalties or a first down stop, and Burrow-Higgins delivers a big play.

I think getting a healthy Milano back AND Higgins gone likely changes the dynamic here next year. As we have learned as Bills fans, when your stars eat up all your cap and the roster ages, your second guys (#2 WR, #2 CB, etc) that are middle to late round picks really start to matter to game outcomes.
