Jesus dude, I hope you’re being sarcastic, if not, you have work ethic issues to deal with yourself, 🤣

Is taking care of your body not part of being a professional?
if you work out but eat like ***** youre not really going to maximize what youre doing. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Are there actually folks out there that question Josh’s work ethic? The same guy everyone ***** on coming into the league and had to bust his ass in the offseason to become the player he’s become? Wow. I guess I always thought people were kidding with that stuff. I can see issues with his diet (he’s even admitted as much), but questioning big haus’ individual work ethic is crazy.

Diet is part of work ethic. 😐

  3. Unfortunately it isnt working out. And its much harder to find a QB then it is a headcoach.

Its possible the bills underperformed for too long. But were still really good. Winning a championship is hard. And sadly i think this chapter is done.
I think a strict step dad type is what josh needs now. No more friends and picking your own OC.
Harbaugh would be pretty fun if he ever wanted to leave michigan.

  4. They have to keep learning the same lesson in different ways. Its stupid. They beat themselves with stupidity. 3 weeks of a good

balanced offense. Then they just abandon it the first sign of adversity.
josh under center keeps him on time and the rbs are better from that formation. Better let josh hand it off from shotgun 🤦🏽‍♂️. Its soo maddening

  5. Feel like the main point is you cant have a top tier qb and not win a championship for much longer before you have to move on.
If you cant figure it out. The team shouldnt be forced to be his training wheels to learn it. Some guys figure it out faster than others.
but you just cant waste a top tier qb in his prime. Anything less than a championship is failure. Fair or not. Thats the measuring stick when you finally have a qb.

Everyone knew that the scouts and GM would be fired.  Whaley didn't hire McDermott.

McDermott himself said he wasn't ready to draft a QB and wanted the new GM to be part of that process (he knew a new GM was coming)

Whaley...after saying they had worked on a trade for weeks, and knew they were trading out of the pick ,then says....but it's alway a possibility....well, yeah, in the sense that if they were at 10 and Mahomes was on the board...it was in fact, possible...and so was Watson, and Deshone Kizer, etc.

The Bills, were not in the QB market in 2017.

Did you happen to listen to the pods with monos/whaley talking about that draft?
also the sammy watkins draft episode is good too.

Should give it a listen its pretty insightful.

Von is expected to be back by the start of the season, if not soon after. We just re-signed Shaq Lawson. Still have Groot, Epenesa, Basham, and Kingsley. I don't expect another Edge signing. I think Lawson was it.

what are you hinestly expecting of a 34yo dude coming off acl surgery in December? Id expect it to look closer to the tre white time line than him being back to normal to start the season. But thats just me.

First...the simple answer is the Bills would still have Josh Allen almost certainly.  I'll explain that below.

Let's once again go back over how that all played out....

Early in 2017, the Pegulas did some wierd stuff when they hired Sean McDermott, a defensive minded HC...just a couple months before the draft.  They retained Whaley to help with the draft and all parties knew that Whaley would be gone, and that a new GM would be hired AFTER the draft.  This is important because while Whaley and Terry Pegual both liked Mahomes, McDermott wasn't a QB evaluator, and he didn't want to make a call on the next franchise QB until the new GM was in place and they could all evaluate and get on the same page when they made such a huge and important choice.  Going into the 2017 Draft, the Bills were NOT taking a QB...even if they had stayed at 10, that pick wasn't Mahomes.  It's been well established that the Saints were set to draft Mahomes at pick 11 if he was there....that would be different.  I speculate that if the bills stayed at 10, maybe the pick would have been Marshon Lattimore, who the Saints ended up with at 11.  IDK.  Anyhow...The Bills still would have arrived at the 2018 draft, with Beane and needing a QB.  They likely would have had a similar draft position and assets, minus the extra 1st they got from the Mahomes trade.  HOWEVER....the Bills did not use draft capital involved in the Mahomes trade to manuever for Allen.  That draft capital had more to do with manuevering for Edwards.  The Bills loved Allen..and they were in position to get him regardless of the Mahomes trade or not.

So...  Not much difference..Allen would still be your QB......Lattimore instead of White?

Biggest difference owuld be Mahomes as a Saint....with Sean Payton.

Id urge you to go listen to the tyler dunne podcasts that have had whaley and monos.
they are pretty upfront they your assumption that they were retained and knew they would be gone after doesnt really add up with them.

also terry absolutely gushed over mahomes every chance he could get. But the rex hire got him in a weird spot and i think he wanted to let them do their jobs.

but go give it a listen. I think it would change your mind on how that played out.

  9. Mahomes is a better qb imo. Its not equal talent.
    physical traits josh is bigger.
mahomes has just as strong of an arm.

josh still doesnt throw guys open as much as he likes to see them open then rips it. He gets the job done so its not that big of a deal.

but PM doesnt make the same mistakes and doesnt gamble as much. Hes got rings. And has broken soo many records already.
this doesnt mean josh is garbage. He is really good too its not that big of a deal. But mahomes is clearly better imo . And as a bills fan im fine with that. Idk why some take it soo personal. Both are really really good. Chill

  10. Whaley and monos have talked about mahomes and that draft at length on ty dunnes podcast a few times.
terry loved mahomes. And as much as he may love josh. Everytime he sees mahomes im sure he thinks what if…

i know people here hate whaley but he and monos have been open about things and self deprecating on that pod. Good listens for sure. They dont try to pass the blame of what happened in their tenure with the bills.

Agreed.... it was accurately said by many that the offense had no identity, tempo or creativity. Once Quessenberry got Josh injured,  the whole short game disappeared. Now you rely on deeper routes with lower completion percentages.  I'm not saying Dorsey had a great rookie season....he didn't,  but there are other obvious factors to take into consideration.

some of that is on josh going hero mode. It looks like it pains him to throw the underneath and check down routes sometimes. He wants the homerun. I get it. But he gets some of that blame. Its what makes him him. But also what gets him wrecked

No rookie here - not by a long shot; a fan since 1980, 42 years and counting.  I flew in from Hawaii, departing on Wednesday, so had to make the most of everything there was to offer.  I’d say I did my share to contribute to a jovial environment.

Me and the wife came in from hawaii too!
wish i read the board more. Woulda tried to link up. 🤙🏽

Lamar is 0-2 in first rd playoff games. Deshaun is 0-2 in first rd playoff games and blew a 24 point lead in the other. Yet they praise those players without a negative word to be said. Draw your own conclusions why. Are they better players than Josh at this point? I'd say yes, but can we acknowledge they have shortcomings as well or is that against today's rules?

Deshaun watson is not 0-2 in the first round😂

Brett Favre begs to differ. At this point, Favre is the best comparison to the way Allen plays. It's not perfect but I am enjoying it.

I watched a lot of the Chargers game. You know who didn't turn it over? Tyrod. Zzzzzzz

I thought josh had one of his best games today but comparing him to a qb from 20years ago even if he is a hof guy isnt ideal. If you put brett in the league today. Im not sure he gets it done. Probably looks like jameis stats wise.

Wanting to be a better QB for you means sarcastic messageboard comments.

For a starting NFL quarterback it means hours upon hours of tape w/guys who have been around the game their entire lives. Access to the best training and PT facilities in the country. Top nutritionists and diets. Throwing sessions with the best wideouts on the planet. The desire to improve as a pro football player (ESPECIALLY a quarterback) affords access and ability to tools that are almost guaranteed to work.

Buy-in as a pro athlete is HUGE. Guys that haven't sniffed that level won't understand...'natural ability' only gets you so far.

Remember when tebow “wanted” it and worked on those things? Now he is the league mvp and Has 10 superbowl rings....?

Didnt see his 20+ fumbles in there ?. What about when he threw it directly to a defender and he dropped it. Should give him credit for that too!
yes he had a bunch of drops.but that didnt make him wildly inconsistent and his game awareness horrible. I want him to be the best in the nfl but im also realistic to say he has massive warts.

Except that he didn’t have for “wtf” moments than he did “ups”. The dude was and is a work in progress coming off a season where he had a mere 13 total turnovers to 29 total tds. Then there’s the 10 wins.  That’s not more wtf’s than positives.

you have historically rational posters telling you that you look sorta silly at the moment. Maybe take a moment, gather some sense, and come back later.

Its almost like you didnt watch the games. A TEAM can win despite a qb shitting his pants a few times a game then coming thru once.
how often did we see josh below 100yards passing entering the 4th or late in the third and a handfull of wtf throws and or fumbles.

It may just be me..., but it does appear that everyone knows that Allen has things to improve on, and he says as much himself, so your revelation that he isn’t Joe Montana after two years is not a thing as it were, Josh Allen is the best Turd bag QB since the drought started, and by the way the cowboys are considered a great team, just ask ESPN.,. ??

Still though, you need that fatty and a beer badly, do get right on that, it’s for your own good...

i feel you. Maybe turd bag wasnt a great name. But its not that im down on him. As the great buddy nix said. Show me the baby. Dont tell me about the labor. ?. Ive gone thru the madness of latching on to the wrong qb. It is what it is. Im just waiting and being analytical about it rather than jumping in feet first. ??
