+1. Ditto.I had this game an easy win. I don't see the bears the way everyone else does. They are the Cowboys 2.0
-
he is. he fancies himself as a hockey guru. Tool is being kind.fun read. rosenbloom strikes me as a complete and utter tool though.
-
Ness flash, you don't get to dismiss three huge runs. The oline rocked. Did you also notice hairston ? This team is deep.Overall they didn't run block that well, two big runs at the end of each half pushed the total up a bit plus EJs runs.
Obviously they need to be better and hope they improve now that they finally have 5 that will be playing together after the merry go round in the preseason.
I don't understand why this offense has so much trouble with screens

Robey. Not Tibet
-
Preston Brown, Tibet and Spikes get honorable mention. As does Bob Woods. Baller!
-
EJ is playing well. Need pressure.
-
We lead the league in dreads.
-
Where's the pressure?!!!8

last year...hmmm. the rest of the time he is sniffing Brady's jock. These guys throw shiite at the to see what sticks.schefter was in brockport last year giving a speech to the journalism dept.. then he was having dinner with buff front office ie whaley before flying out...
definitley wired in...his sources are direct contacts...i trust him
-
Great he is the tallest midget. I m sure he is proud.Nobody knows for sure how he "knows" but this isn't LaCanfora were talking about. Schefter has the best reputation of any of them.
-
+1 SSchefter and all these wired in guys make this stuff up. When was the last time he was even in Buffalo? Orton plays if EJ is injured thats all.Dumbest thing I've ever heard.
-
You'll see him in a visor holding a clipboard. I am sure Fox will get a shot of him on the sideline.

It is a chamber of commerce weather day here in Chicago. Fast track. We have speed let's use it!! Bradham out worries me a bit bc Bennet can be a handful, but the line can get to Cutler. Hit em, run the ball, win! Go Bills!
-
Maybe. But if this was in earshot of the players, I think it is a good thing. The starting lineups were a formality at that point. The message is I can win with these guys. I billieve in them.
lmao. Great line."McClanahan!!! You play worse every day and right now you're playing like next week!!!"
-
It reminds me a bit of Herb Brooks in miracle. He picks no names, gets them to buy in and brings in the golden boy to test the cohesion of the team he assembled. We all know how badly that ended.
-
they are both well attended by a similar crowd. Ages tend to the young to mid 30's. Plus you can walk from one to the other if you don't like the scene. LS has decent wings and Delilahs allows you to order out around the corner and bring it in. Both worth a look see and definitely fun on game day!
Be careful. You can't paint with too broad of a brush, but you will run into the morons who only know two seasons, pre and regular. I go with Bears fans to the tailgate and have no problems but I have seen some nastiness during Packers and Vikings games. Use your head and a bit of WNY charm and you should be fine.Another related question...I am coming in from out of town to watch the Bills beat the Bears.....
How are the Chicago Fans? Should I be prepared for smack talk or are they fairly nice?
Any suggestion on tailgating? Should I just go to the Bills Backer Bar or is the park lot fun?
Thanks!

then go away. You want playoffs, root for the Defending champ whoever it is that yearUmm 14 years and no playoffs. .. kind of hard to get excited. We've been hurt before. I'll still be excited when kickoff happens, but I'm tempering expectations. The D looks good, maybe great! There's a thread on that already. We focus on what's broken not what works.
We dance with the girl we brought ... well we're bringing two to the ball.
But you act or post like we don't know our history. We.do and we still support the team. The negativity is not needed on a.fan site.
-
I moved to Chicago from Pittsburgh after leaving WNY. I respected the Stihlers, but Sweet Lady Gaga, the Bears fans and media have a delusional self entitlement that is maddening. I root for the team and its fan base to be swept into lake Michigan in a freak tsunami. Not this weekend though, too many board members attending.
-
we know. You dig his pale complexion, we get it.I would rather have EJ Manuel as my backup than Kyle Orton.
-
so you and the op cousins or something? You both seem to ignore the board responses demonstrating that players have supported ej and all their teamates. You also state your opinion, which again refuses to be informed by the facts supplied as support for the veracity of your opinion. Wait we have never seen you both in the same room at the same time! Hmmmm? All you did was point out how many other posters have strayed from the OP's original question, in turn, further proving my point.
And you're halfway right, I haven't been posting for very long. But that does not mean that I haven't been reading for quite some time. So to assume that I don't "understand", as you say, is actually a pretty shallow assumption to make.
As far as you "still waiting to hear one", again, the OP was asking fellow board members for their knowledge of teammates public support regarding EJ Manuel. Yet you continue to ask him for his teammates public displeasure about EJ Manuel. This is the exact opposite of what the original post was about.
To answer the OP's question, I did a quick search and was unable to find any public statements from any of his teammates regarding their support. I am sure if I dug deeper, I would have found something. However, the fact that one would have to dig so deep to find public statements about his teammates support, suggests that they do not have a lot of faith in him. The lack of statements speaks volumes, IMO.

fixedI was about to let pessimism get the better of me Thursday night, but the events of the past two days have restored my faith (somewhat) that this FO does in fact have a clue.
We now have a legitimate short term answer at QB if EJ gets hurt. Under-talented backups like Lewis and Tuel are finally gone and the message has been sent to EJ that the coddling is over.
Similarly, releasing under performers like Graham and Legursky is a sign that the organization is done accepting mediocrity. Graham is a guy who just tantalized with his ability to get open in this league, but when you play WR and can't catch you're a liability.
This roster has the pieces in place at every position. Of course, it's all about whether the QB shows up, but at least I feel like Whaley and Marrone have an idea of what they're doing.
-
This is the first season in a long time where we will be able say we are relatively deep at many positions. If we lose a starter for short period there will be drop off but it shouldn't be catastrophic. No EJ isn't Brady or Rogers, but I really do not think he has to be. The surreptitious message that OBD and the staff is sending to this team is just that: you are a team. The guy lining up next to you is just as good at his job as you are yours. Go play, play hard, win. No excuses.
I like it.
-
I am onboard and want to see competitiveness and maturity. He is still a rookie in my opinion. Besides, contrary to the euphoria surrounding Orton, he is the only starting caliber qb on the roster.
-
their vulnerability is on the ground. Their moves did not markedly change that. Houston included. The whiff on McClellin will be felt. Bostic is a question mark and is going to get time. Their scheme hasn't changed much from Lovie to Tucker, they simply are lacking the players to run it. Btw I'm in Tinley, where do you watch games other than Lincoln stn?I stayed away from the front four because they aren't the liability of the back 7. Jared Allen could have plenty left in the tank and remains an iron man having not missed a game in the last 6 years and registered 11.5 sacks last season. May have lost a step vs. the run though as his tackles are down.
Lamar Houston (5th year, free agent from the Raiders) is a very good run stuffer on the left side. Jay Ratliff at nose tackle is basically a second string player who will be staring for the Bears. RDT Stephen Paea is a home grown Bear in his 4th year who has not shown very much either.
Basically the Bears D starting 11 has (2) pro bowl players, one out of gas, one with something left, 2 or 3 players that are decent and 6 or 7 players that are pretty much 2's or 3's at best.
Hackett Shocker!

I also liked the few times EJ changed the play and went under center. Brought play action into play and showed he had feel for what was going on around him.
