  1. Holy Crap. I had to leave for the 2nd half and DVR'ed it, made sure I didn't know the outcome. I come home, watching the 2nd half - going crazy watching the last 5 minutes unfold - almost lose my mind when the Patriots** score the TD, then..........the recording ends just before the 2 pt conversion (and by then it's 7:00).

My mind didn't know what to do - I'm jumping up and down going OMIGOGOMIGODOMIGOD. I knew the game was over one way or the other - the moments before checking the final outcome were among the most stressful in my life.

Have to agree with many of the comments here. It is truly a gift to be able to watch the Superbowl stress free and be able to enjoy it.

I honestly don't believe anyone can hate the Patriots** more than I do. For real. My hatred honestly borders on irrational (or my wife would probably say is irrational). God I hate them. Even watching the recording - I get so stressed when the Pats** are driving I fast forward and just look at the down marker to see what happened, then rewind and watch in real time. And even then I'm freaking out the whole last 5 minutes..

The most important factor going into this game for me was the fact that NE** lost the home field advantage. There is absolutely no way if this game was played in Gillette that NE** does not get some calls that determine the game in their favor. There's no way. Oh, and their tablets would have worked the whole game HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - how great is that.

That backwards pass was ridiculous. How is it the stupid Pats** always benefit from some stupid turnover other teams make in their own territory. God it drives me crazy.

    1) WTF are refs doing helping up Brady (again) 2) What does it take for Brady to get a grounding call 3) WHY THE HELL don't all teams try to pressure and beat up Brady ALL THE TIME.. When will teams in the league finally just get it and stop outsmarting themselves

God I hate the Patriots**. It is like a huge weight has been lifted. Ha and its easy to forget the friggin cheaters lost their first pick, and hopefully a Brady suspension is in the making this offseason. Go to hell mother f'ers - go straight to hell.

    Stevewin is a happy man.

  2. Key loss of the season - nate solder. Vollmer is a great rt but a horrible lt, and cannon and fleming shouldn't be starting for any team. It killed them in the end. All three were terrible today and cost the team the game.

But the *Patriots are geniuses and work the draft better than anyone! About time they had injuries. I love that Belicheck didn't kick that FG. Dumb ass.

  3. So don't read it. You thought 17 pages in we were going to evolve into a well balanced discussion where the merits of all parties involved are equally considered and everyone's opinion is valued? Come on, dude this is a football message board. Go grab a beer out of the fridge :flirt: , turn up your foreigner cassette tapes, and ignore your family while we spew vitriol daily for the next eight months.

Lol @ the Foreigner cassette. Nice work.

  4.

Either let go or promote someone over him and RR. I loathe the organizational set-up right now. Both Rex and Whaley independently reporting to Pegs is not ideal.

That depends if RR and DW are not working well with EACH OTHER......if they are then it is a very good situation.

It's a tough situation because I wouldn't have put myself into it to begin with, so it's hard to say how to move forward. Either you force Rex onto a GM/czar type (again, not ideal) or you have this disjointed mess. I don't believe that Whaley is happy with how the defense he has basically built (along with Buddy) has been rendered ineffective. I believe in the reports that there is organizational friction on Mario and some other defensive players.

There is a very strong possibility that Mario might be the problem here as well and was just a malconent.........I dont know this for sure and this next season will def answer that question.

However, I believe Whaley wanted Rex here and played a fundamental role in his hiring. That's a contentious point to many, but operating under that assumption, I fire Whaley for such an egregious error, and I try to hire someone happy with Rex.

Can we not act like they didnt do a extensive hiring search and that they interviewed SEVERAL before settling in on Rex Ryan.....and then can we also act like 1 year does not a bad coaching hire make? It has been ONE year.

I feel one hell of a lot better about this team than I did last year at this time.

  5. I do remember having some heated debates with you on the subject, and yes, you were right in that regard (so far). But don't tell me you weren't a little nervous after that week 16 Pats game.

I actually, earlier in the week, was going to start a thread about being wrong. Then I thought I'd wait....good choice on my part.

Fitz had a good season. But he's Fitz. And Fitz does Fitz things when it most matters.

  6. -Really? How many DE's, S's and CB's did RR's GM in NY draft for him? Do you really think Rex had nothing to do with the Milliner bust or the Richardson pick? We can agree to disagree here, mostly because I don't want to hijack another thread on this, or appear as though I'm crusading. I will close with the GM/HC disagreements in NY is far overblown IMO, and didn't even become a narrative until they went 4-12 last year.

-Okay. He didn't throw a TO at the worst possible time when he beat the Pats in OT with an almost flawless drive. He's not great, but he had some success with a strong D and good WR's. Which was my original argument. Also, the rest of his team played like crap in week 17 against us. Again, agree to disagree, but most of the peanut gallery were saying he would never win more than 6 games ever. They were definitely wrong, which was my original point.

I'm pretty close to correct IMO.

I was part of that "peanut gallery" and stated Fitz would never lead a team to the playoffs. Fitz has yet to prove me wrong and, in the make or break quarter, was picked thrice. I would venture to say that development was not surprising to any Bills' fan.

  7. The premise of this whole thread is insane. Tyrod Taylor Is not the problem with this football team and, for the first time in years, I feel the offense is not a major issue. The kid simply does not turn the ball over. For anyone to suggest QB is the issue with this team is ludicrous.
