Listening to Greg Cossell’s analysis of the Bills passing game is spot on. He points the finger not at the receivers but at Brady. Many routes other teams use are not in the Bills playbook. He cited that this has been a problem for over a year. I concur and have seen this problem and feel no confidence that Brady will have an epiphany and correct his play designs.

Change in Bills philosophy this season to go run first, pass second has reduced yardage. More interested in running the clock and reducing the number of times the opponents have the ball. I am not a fan of it but it is what it is.

Allen, as I have said all season, seems to be off. His reads are ignoring open receivers and when he does throw more often than not his passes are off. To me, it seems his mechanics are off due to his change of throwing or a lingering effect of his elbow injury. I have injured right elbow my right elbow years ago and it flares up once in a while. Second point is QB play is mentally taxing and it looks like he is struggling out there. Not sure how you can overcome this in midseason. Keep playing him and maybe reduce his options to three? The offense as a whole needs to execute and excel. Stop waiting on Allen to put on his cape.

The run started to fade last off season when they kept Brady. I was not a fan of his play calling last year and this year is no different. Not having a plan to counter a base defense this season is mind boggling. Injuries have ravaged this team for three seasons. That is something that has to be addressed.
