  1. A friend of a friend saw Nix at TOPS and he bought some Clauson pickles. He could have grabbed Weber or another brand but took Clauson. That's a pretty clear sign he's leaning towards taking you know who from Notre Dame.............

  2. Exactly my point....had we drafted Ngata 99% of the board would have hated it.

And 99% would have been wrong. That's why we have a FO that's supposed to know more than us doinks. All we can do is trust Buddy to turn this thing around.

  3. I hate to say it boys but Ralphie is right- we have to build through the draft. We are going to have to take our lumps this year and build up for next year - everyone knows we are soft in the middle so I think all picks in early rounds must be line picks. I just looked at our schedule for next year - we are going to take our lumps our away schedule could literally be all losses= 3AFC east teams, Ravens, Bengals, Packers, Vikes . . . and maybe Chiefs in Arrowhead! I hate to be defeatist but come-on!

Sounds like year one of Greg Williams. No thanks! You can bring in some FA talent to work with the newbies. Don't tell me there is no one available in th is crowd of FA or trade bait that won't upgrade this team.

  4. Building through the draft is still to this day the BEST way to build a team, and make no mistake we are rebuilding. We have tossed big money at free agents and have **** to show for it.

I also really don't like this group of free agents. None are a must have in my book including Peppers. I am looking for Nix to do like New England does and find mid tier guys that come in, fit the systems we are running and make this a winning team.

We need some immediate help at NT, linebacker and OT. Buddy needs to find some help in FA for one or two of these areas while we build.

  5. I don't want to gossip about whether I like him or not or whether he's good or sucks, but from a logistical standpoint- with the Bills re-signing Scott and (I'm sure) Wilson, that makes four at least starting caliber safeties on our roster. I gotta imagine they're looking to trade Whitner at this point. I'd be thrilled if they could get a starter at another position or a second rounder for him. Thoughts?

Trade him for Jim Leonard straight up.

  6. No matter how you cut it, Maybin was a reach and just a poor pick for a #11. Orakpo, Oher, etc have all shown that. But that said, it is what it is. Buddy won't pick any "one year wonders" and we just have to move on. If we get some milage out of him, great.

I'm not expecting much from Maybin and neither should anyone else - that way we won't be more disappointed than we all are now. You can either spend your life looking forward a looking behind you. I'm choosing to look forward and hope Buddy and the boys break up our string of bad first round picks.

  7. So is Brett Favre, would you like to add him to our roster?

Yes Mawae is old but he's as good as anyone we have on our roster right now and would be cheap.

Farve didn't bend his knees at an acute angle and blast into a 300 pound-plus body every play of a game. We need to play young guys and let them grow into a line that will be together for a many years. Signing an old, albeit "serviceable" player, would just delay the growth and cohesion we need for our future O line.

  8. First time post here. I personnally liked TE as our quarterback. Better then Fitzpatrick. Better then Losman. Better then anyone we can get in a draft this year. Our problem is just keeping him upright to make the throw. His accuracy is good and when he did have time to throw over the middle and down field he wasn't affraid. For instance during the Redskins game two years ago at the end of the game when he needed to make a throw downfield and had time he was money. Another example was the Jacksonville game when he had another fourth quarter game winning drive at the end. He is a good quarter back to me just not coached properly and no line. He was loved in 08 until the Cardnials game where he had his first concussion. That to me is when he got scared. Then he went through the hole training camp last year to have his coordinator dumped right before the season and had a new OC. If he had any consistant coaching he would be a stud now. For that matter I think Losman would have panned out to if it wasn't for sorry coaching. With Loseman they tried to make him a pocket quarterback. To me he should have used his legs more. But I still like Edwards better. We really need to concentrate on our lines Offensive and Defensive this year. Go Bills!!

He's fragile and frightened. He's had a few chances. Time to move on.

  9. No WR can take us to the next level, Only a QB can do that...see Jim Kelly.

Kind of a broken record here. The two top QB's will be gone by our pick and there's no quarterback worth a #9 pick after Clausen and Bradford are gone. So if you see a "Jim Kelly" let Buddy know. In the meantime, find linemen on both sides of the ball.

  10. How about letting our new front office make the call so we can start playing Buddy Ball! I've been with this team since 1963 and I've seen it all. But I have a good gut feeling about Buddy. He knows a football player when he sees him and if he thinks someone is worth a #9, I'm with him. If he doesn't see top ten value and trades down, I'm with him.

  11. Why is everyone getting excited here on Two Bills Drive Dot Com? I know the combine is here and Free Agency will start in a week or so. Also the draft is now less than two months away but still why all the excitement?

The people in charge of this no nothing team have no semblence of direction in which this team is going. There will not be one free agent that will be a difference maker that will want to come to such a lousy team and city. Remember - there were up and coming coordinators that refused to even be interviewed to be the Bills coach. We had to get some guy to come out of retirement just to say we have a GM!

This team is going no where - players don't want to play here, coaches don't want to coach here and fans don't want to be fans here anymore. Why doesn't Ole Ralph do us a favor and move this team to Los Angles - maybe then we'll get the players and coaches to be competitive!!!!

Methinks Bossman just had a plaster of paris enema.

  12. I love this plan. Draft Cody in the 2nd and he and Williams split time at NT. They are the perfect combo and would be a beast to block. Kyle Williams is about the same size as Jay Ratliff, who is one of the best 3-4 NTs in the game.

Cody is fat and unmotivated. He's a walking ball of blubber. (Check out the SI photo of him) that's not what we need. Sign Pickett for a year or two and groom his successor.

  13. I know most of you are americans, and i would like to say congrats on your win against us. I am from Toronto lol, and very dissapointed of course, but u guys deserved it. Oh and btw, Miller is a beast, can he play football?? Anyways, congrats on your win.

I just got back from your fair city from the King Tut exhibit. Great exhibit and a great time in a great city! Thank you for your classy note. Miller gets the credit. The last half of the last period all I did was yell "get it the H*ll out of there" and prayed for no rebounds. Canada will be in the gold medal game, I hope agains us.

The only negative was Crosby. When is someone going to get in his grill and give him a deserved smack down?

  14. If you could put any active impact NFL player from another team other then quarterback to play for the bills, regardless of team needs. Who would it be?

My pick would be Troy Polamalu he is such a punishing hitter that opposing receivers have to fear and teams have to game plan for.

Jamal Williams – San Diego Chargers

He's a beast. I'd take Hampton or Wilfork as well. We need a nose tackle.

  15. I saw this on youtube, it was the day after the Bills 17-3 loss to New England this year. The caller started making excuses for Edwards, and Howard Simon flipped his lid.

    Hilarious!

Actually, when you hear him go nuts, it's kind of therapeutic.

"Every stinkin football season the same stupid stuff"

Boom goes the dynamite! I heard this when it happened. It's even better now. He's pretty even tempered so when he goes off it's a stitch. Have to agree with him 100%.

  16. No it didn't. the QB play sucked and has since Kelly retired.

We were in the playoffs with Rob Johnson and Flutie. If it wasn't for the illegal kickoff return, we would have been in the big game with Johnson, who I recall, sucked. Rest of the team was pretty good. To all who are clamoring for a first round quaterback, tell me how the Hell you see any of them worthy of the 9th pick? Let's get a player that can help us on day one and actually play full time. I'm sick of projects. But no....many of you want to pick a Tebow, et al. Great. Our new QB can dodge the lame Maybin when the back-ups practice.
