  1. 1. Cleveland Browns Record: 0-16 (.520) Top needs: QB, CB, RT http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000855910/article/2018-nfl-draft-order-and-needs-for-every-team This is off the NFL draft page. I would tend to believe them then some obscure article about a player that someone thinks is doing OK.
  2. We don't have the draft capital, our 1st picks are worth not much more than a early 2nd rounder when talking about Top 10 talent in a draft. Your thinking QB. Other teams are thinking what player takes me to the Superbowl. They will have collateral to drive up the price that we end up over paying for a QB we are not sure is a Franchise guy. Ryan Leaf was taken after Manning, didn't work out to well. Ask Oakland how they did drafting a QB number 1 overall. You give up 5-6 picks and that happens to your team your done. Not the smart move. There is no Luck or Rivers in this draft. So 2 - 1st picks a 2nd and a 3rd for a QB that never has thrown a NFL pass in his life is the going rate for a Top 4 pick, might even be more. I would challenge that a QB that won a few 11-5 seasons is worth allot more, who also was a 1st over all pick. Where you not implying Foles was about to retire from the NFL, no one giving him a chance, you were saying he was quitting so why would anyone buy into him.
  3. Browns were the worst team in the league, they need to upgrade everyone. Second, they do need a RT and Glenn does fit there. He is expensive for a RT but that shouldn't matter to a team with 89-90 mil in cap space.
  4. Your going to throw away having a Top 5 running back for the possibility you may get your Franchise QB? Sorry Bills have lost players they made to get these picks and now some of the returned players are leaving too. How do you win with just a old Kyle Williams at DT, old linebackers, no middle linebacker, oh by the way your Center is gone, no speed WR. I am glad Beane has more sense then that. he stole a 3rd pick 65 from Cleveland bluffing he would waste 6 million. A man that does that does not give up all that work for one of these QB's. Not with high talent available like McCarron, Cousins, Foles, Keenum, McCown, Bridgewater, Bradford, Moore. I really thought Bills fans had more sense this. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO MOVE UP TO TOP 4 PICKS IN DRAFT FROM 21ST PICK BEING YOUR HIGHEST PICK. You want a QB, try trading for a existing franchise QB, Brees. Rivers, Luck. Offer enough you got your QB. It is not coming from picks 1-4. Thanks, I don't want Keenum anyway. Was just pointing out if Buffalo wanted him he was available, I was wrong he is available as a freeagent without giving anything up. How does that change anything if Buffalo really wants a player, they go get him. They have the picks to get anything they want except a Top 4 pick. You need to be bad in this league to get there or close enough. We gave up players like Darieus and Watkins who could help get you there. Glenn is not one of those players. 21st and 22nd pick are basically a little better than top 2nd round picks. Sorry, it is not possible unless you give up 2 to 3 times more than you should.
  5. Finally someone posting something that makes sense and reasonable thought. It is not reasonable to think Bills can go from 21st pick to top 4 without giving up everything. Ditka did this for a RB, how did that work out. Unless you have a finished team and need only one player to go to the Super Bowl you never do this. Enjoyed your Post!
  6. Your using Sanchez as a reason not to go with Foles? Foles had Reich as a OC last year and won MVP of Superbowl. He beat Tom Brady solidly. He has had Good stat years. Your Ok with Bradford, no maybe Moore as a teacher. Give me a good reason why Buffalo should move up in draft. How this year, do they sign players they need in Free Agency with $35 mil in money with top dollar players needed, next year we will have the money. Get a starting QB for Bills this year, use picks to get players that help, THIS year. Otherwise your best trading everyone away and go get your "Franchise" QB. if Beane is wrong it will be 10 more years at least before we get to the playoffs. We are not IN position to move up and get a Top 4 pick without sacrificing the Bills future. Yeah Foles showed allot of quit going against NE and the best QB in history.
  7. "Why give up assets for a guy that is Not going to change your franchise around? Go get a guy in free agency keep all your draft picks and trade up to try and land the quote on quote franchise guy." I happen to think Foles can do better then Taylor and get us deeper when he gets to the playoffs, he has proven that last year. Bills hired OC with a hot hand winning a Championship. These things matter. Foles is cheap, reasonable contract that you can also draft a QB. You think there is a QB that is a Franchise QB draftable in the Top 4, I think there is not and even if there was we need the picks for a Center, DT, DE, middle linebacker and speed WR. You give up all that and Bills lose next year. What did you gain, your QB franchise player is years off of having a team he can succeed with. Our team gave away two top picks for us losing Watkins and Darieus, we need players.
  8. Luck if healthy is my choice but a long shot. Giving up everything for one of these QB's available is nuts. Not one of them holds stock like a Luck, Rivers or even Eli. Just don't give up all these picks when there are viable options. Should have done this last year and taken Mahorn if that desperate to give up this pick for a QB.
  9. Buffalo has a starting QB job, it is his job if they sign him. Someone like Moore would end up being signed to back him up. This is a solid choice though I would go for Foles and drafting a QB with second or third pick to compete with Peterson for backup.
  10. I would take these stats for my QB. Outside of Kelly we haven't had a player with these stats in a long time. Taylor at his best can barely reach 300 yards in a game. Foles cap number is good and the perfect Bridge QB. Did so well they can try again this year.
  11. Manning had 2 big throwing years in Denver, last year he was wore out. Foles had 4 TD's(one for a catch) and a MVP for the Superbowl, I would say he out played Tom Brady. If Foles was a Franchise QB coming off a Superbowl you could not get him so my points stand. Also Foles has produced good stats before even with the Eagles before and then was traded. Getting a starting QB in this league in the Superbowl that won costs something, a 1st and 4th is the starting point. I bet he could be had for a 2nd, 3rd and 6 or 7th. Bills could then draft Baker or Jackson and have Peterson. I think that makes Buffalo have the best chance of finding a QB to lead them while they still have McCoy.
  12. You can't make a blanket statement Bills move up to 2nd, how did they get there? Who went with the 1st pick? This isn't LA LA Land or Walt Disney.
  13. Also Keenum can be transition tagged, franchise tagged if he is worth something. He is the only QB who is worth something to tag. Also you had said there were many inaccuracies, even if I had that wrong it doesn't change my point. He is a valuable proven QB Buffalo can go for to fix their QB issue. Grow Up!!!!
  14. So would Tyrod and Cleveland made trade with 65th pick in draft. Anyone who believes Buffalo would throw away 6 million dollars is just as big a idiot as the team that wastes the 6 million. If Kenuum goes to Free Agency Bills have to compete. If the Bills want Keenum than you trade for him now. That is why Cleveland gave up a 65th overall pick because they would be competing with Denver for his services.
  15. Wow, Foles just won Superbowl out throwing Tom Brady, never said Franchise QB, you can still draft that if you believe in someone later in 1st and 2nd round. Obviously Luck needs to pass a NFL physical to make trade legal, if that doesn't happen trade null if it does happen then he can play football. Manning was told to quit but still managed 3 good years and 2 Superbowl visits and a Super ring. Luck if he can play is just as talented at that point of Manning's career. Any scenario is always different, what remains the same is Indy can replace Luck with a QB that apparently Bills fans all are willing to give every pick in the top 3 rounds for. So if that is the case why wouldn't Indy take a GOOD trade even if it is for a Franchise QB that Irsay doesn't like?
  16. How did they get to number 2 pick over all matters. If Giants just swap our 21st and 22nd pick and take Glenn, YES I will be happy! Any more than that and NO WAY.
  17. You can go 1000 ways, I wrote the only possibilities that are obvious and would make sense for Bills. Top 4 QB's went away when Buffalo won 9 games. Needed a Top 10 pick to move up, 21st and 22nd sound nice if a team doesn't need a QB in top 4. That really isn't the case, all 4 could use a QB with only Cleveland having the extra pick. Just is not worth it to move up. not with all the QB's that are available in Freeagency and Trades. Buffalo stayed away from Foles last year, could have had him. How did that work out. Luck is and always will be till he can't be a 1st pick over all talent and someone who has played well in the NFL. They do not come around every day. Hell people still are wishing on Cutler. Luck is a Franchise QB!!!!! Even Bree Brees was given away at one time!
  18. There are plenty of QB's to get that add upside to Taylor and won't cost everything. I would rather give up a 1st and 4th rounder to Eagles then all our picks to get 1st pick and our choice of QB. Foles will lead you to playoffs were that is not a guarantee with any QB in this draft. If the Bills are a playoff team next year Foles can do the job, proven that already. This is the smart choice. If Buffalo wants to keep all it's picks then get McCarron, Bridgewater, McCown and draft Jackson or Baker 10-21, move up if needed but not to top 4. Yeah, EJ, Losman could play too but winning is another question.
  19. No one worth giving up all 4-6 top picks. Not even sure players can start. Only possible move I see for Top 4 pick is Cleveland's 4th pick. Not worth the price. Why are you reading stupid threads, not interested stop writing! Absolutely no, would be better off taking a chance with Jackson or Baker later even if you move up to the middle of the 1st. There is no Luck, Rivers or Manning in this draft. You don't give up making your team a sure playoff team with 6 picks in the top of the draft and $80-90 million to buy a QB next year. Only make this trade for a KNOWN quantity, ie Andrew Luck. Would even take a chance on McCarron or Bridgewater 1st too. That is not a guarantee unless Bills do the stupid thing like Ditka!
  20. Indy has 3rd pick for new Franchise QB, move Luck they now can get 1st pick and take who they want to replace Luck and still have a 1st pick available later. Buffalo is the only team that has the picks to get Luck and provide the proper picks. Why would Cleveland go for Luck after getting Tyrod. They may be OK getting any of the 3 QB's if Indy tells them who they are selecting.
  21. First choice trade or free agency for proven qb; Foles or Keenum trade, these QB's can get it done. McCown or Bridgewater freeagency, both proven QB's also, Bridgewater has a high ceiling but injury risk. Second choice is getting young QB with potential; Only real choice here is McCarron, proven college Champion with skills Buffalo could use now to start. Backups Moore or Bradford. Draft a QB but doesn't move up to top 4; Bills can get Jackson or Baker here even moving up a few spots before possible takers Crazy IDEA - Trade for Franchise QB; Two trades possible; Cleveland's 4th pick by giving up our 21st pick, Glenn, 2nd rounder and Cleveland's 3rd rounder back and possibility our 3rd rounder. Glenn is the key here with all the moves Cleveland has made they need protection and Tyrod knows Glenn. Not sure I would do this trade. Indy trades Luck to Buffalo for both 1st pick's and 1st next year. This I would do in a heart beat. Luck is young and a Franchise QB, new team new outlook. Makes or breaks GM Beane but the bold move that can win Championships. We still have both 2nd's and both 3rd's for needs and solve QB issue for 10 years.
  22. I gave my $70 for Eric to Childrens Hospital. Classy man, sorry his career ends this way.
  23. We have allot of holes now with losing Wood, depth thin now because Groy needs to move up. This year we need to get younger now, if QB there you like great but don't move up, we need every pick. If a great offer comes in for McCoy, take it. I would move on from Glenn, take hit this year. 2019 Bills could be in a great position again especially if we are in the bottom 10 teams. You will sell out McDermott's future going for it now with a thin bench. Shore up team and let it grow like our 1986 teams did with Levy. Otherwise if your going for now you have to trade for a top QB or sign for $30mil/yr
