  1. Redman didn't do to bad IMO, kept pace with the saints. Also, another variable is that backups just don't get the reps that starters do. Brady didn't come in and tear it up immediately, Romo didn't either, it took a little while.
  2. Manning isn't human... That example doesn't count.
  3. i might agree with the Steelers... but they have lost to some terrible teams this year, so i don't know. id have to disagree with Green bay... Ryan Grant has some pretty nice runs thanks to the O-line opening up holes and teammates providing good blocks.
  4. Other than the colts, who have a genius in Manning, what team this year would you say is successful with a good QB, a bad o-line, and an so-so supporting cast?
  5. No one mentioned 'bums', but that entire list are not Stellar by themselves. They are surrounded by very talented teammates and coaches, and decent o-lines.
  6. a solid o-line would go such a long way on both sides of the ball. That's all i want to see. There are quite a few teams going to the playoffs this year who do not have stellar QBs. Just give a guy some time to throw, a few extra seconds on those 3rd down conversions, and the difference would be amazing.... Tired opposing defenses, sustained drives that eat clock, offensive POINTS. Fix the o-line please!!!!
  7. My wonderful wife got me a Don Beebe bills jersey and a bills fitted hat. She got my son a bills sweatshirt as well.
  8. Did the bills sign Brohm to be the starter next year? Do they start him in either of the two remaining games? I'm teetering on a ledge with both of these questions. I think I'd like to see what he can do, but then again, could doing so have ill effects? Perhaps it would be wise to get the offensive line firmed up before attempting this. Thoughts?
  9. edwards will never be good. No QB in the history of the NFL has become successful throwing ONLY floaters and short passes. Every good QB puts some mustard on the ball. Proven fact.
  10. i sure hope so. This season is down the tubes. Might as well go with he guy who has played less yet has more wins...
  11. If vick comes to buffalo... i'll find it just about impossible to cheer for the bills with him on the field. Yep, his crimes were unforgivable, therefore i will not cheer for him or the bills if they sign him. For what it's worth, i never thought he was a very good QB. I would have frowned upon him coming here before he became a dog murderer.
  12. A team will make A LOT more money going to the playoffs.. more sellouts, more merchandise, advertisements. i find it hard to believe that any owner would be happy being o.k. I also find it hard to believe Raplh, being 149 years old, would rather see extra $ in his checking account than to see the bills go to the superbowl again before his time is up.
  13. The red zone isn't exactly a cake walk , even with crappy teams defending.. The panthers pass D isn't exactly ****ty. Just saying. This sunday will make or break my argument.
  14. everyone claiming that Fitz hasn't done anything... wake up.. The defense hasn't scored any touchdowns. Fitz however, has thrown a couple. Remember, It's a team game.
  15. Ridiculous.. So you'd rather have sayy.. the 2009 Rams as your team, or the 2008-2009 Lions... makes no sense. going 7-9 or going 0-16 isn't going to matter for next year, no matter where we end up, there is still obviously going to need to be improvements made.
  16. http://www.buffalonews.com/opinion/columns...ory/840471.html Was reading this article... these last two paragraphs made me roll my eyes... " Of course, if Edwards isn't the answer, the long-term QB isn't on the roster. That's the difference between '07 and '09: Two years ago, the Bills thought they had their guy in Edwards. Ralph Wilson loved him. So did Jauron. Edwards is only 25, but if Fitzpatrick can inspire more hope, it is a troubling sign. Fitzpatrick is a nice fill-in, but nothing more. The big question isn't who starts Sunday, or after the bye, but who will be the starting quarterback next season and the season after that. Now where have I heard all this before? " I'm not saying Fitz is the future, and will take the team to the superbowl, but i think everyone who keeps pounding their powerless fists saying "Neither of there QBs are starters and we need to do something NOW" need to relax and get back to watching games, and not being armchair coaches/managers/owners. Lets just see how this plays out. No one thought Romo was the guy back when Bledsoe was sucking... Same goes for who knows how many other backups in NFL history... Tom Brady anyone? I know there are always going to be debates, but come on all you know-it-alls... Accept that you can't do anything about the situation and cheer for the QB who has won some games, until he stops winning games. Then if we fail this year, as we probably will, we can all hope/pray/riot for a new franchise quarterback.
  17. I'm on the other side here... When Trent took over for JP i remember being a bit troubled that the bills were only getting down the field with short passes. i was somewhat content that the stupid plays JP was making seemed to have disappeared, so i think i kind of let it go. IMO, teams became wise to trent's style of play and have shut it down... as shown in the pre-season and the games he's played in the reg season
  18. 1- Trent may be more accurate, but could this be only because Trent has gone through more reps with the starters than Fitz?? Possibly... I really can't think of anything else. 2- WAYYYYYY More zip on the ball... i really think this is HUGE. You don't see many successful QBs throwing floaters constantly like trent seems to do. 2a- Gets the ball thrown quicker.. 3- Fitz. The two reasons i listed above say it all IMO. You can't check every receiver every play then check down and be successful.. It will result in sacks and 3 and outs.
  19. This team, this season, Fitz looks better. Trent won against the Bucs, and lost against the Browns. Fitz won against the Jets, and won against the Panthers.. If you analyze the data in the sentence above, it's clear that fitz should be the starter. Never mind the defensive takeaways, it doesn't matter. A win is a win is a win.
  20. i think fitzpatrick > edwards. I'm hoping he is the starter next week. I think with a full week of reps with the offense, he can be more accurate than he was last night. I just like how there is more zip in his passes and that the willingness to take more chances is there. I'd prefer that trent did not get injured but i got both my wishes... huddling is back, and a change of QB. we'll see what happens...
  21. It wouldn't surprise me to see the ridiculous bills win against a good team like the jets... build my hopes up a tiny bit, then smash them to pieces and lose to someone like the browns again later on in the season. LOL
  22. As depressing as it is, and has been, i still look forward to every Sunday to see them play.
  23. DO IT!!! come on!! There was too much inexperience before all the injuries and there is FAR too much inexperience now to pull it off. Get rid of it so we can at least win one more game this season!
