  1. It was during the Super Bowl years, can't remember exactly what year it was, but it was a regular season game in OAKLAND of all places. We went on an excursion in a bus from the hotel, and were all painted and dressed in Bills' attire (in fact, I was wearing Zubaz)! Believe me when I write that what you've heard about Raiders fans and the stadium there is true. It was rowdy and bordering on somewhat scary for Bills' fans. And what a game it was.....I don't remember all the details, but it was back and forth, the Bills' made a comeback, sent the game into overtime, and there were missed field goals by both teams (?), but the Bills' finally won it in overtime. Just a great game! Well, it wasn't so much fun getting out of the stadium, onto the bus, and out of the parking lot/area. It was legitimately somewhat scary. But it's an experience I'll never forget.
  2. BTW, Mr. 8977 posts PromoTheRobot, according to NFL sources, the Redskins interviewed at least two minority candidates for their GM position. Check the facts before spewing misinformation.
  3. I am not a fan of JP Losman coming back to the Bills, but I do hope for the best for him. At any rate, doesn't JP signing with the Raiders remind anyone of Darryl Lamonica becoming a Raider back in the day? Wouldn't it be ironic if JP turned into the Lamonica of the 2010's? Just a thought....and Good Luck, JP!
  4. I don't think we're talking about RECEPTIONS per game, I think we're talking about attempts THROWN TO wr's per game. I'd be interested in looking at those numbers. And take out Josh Reed's numbers...
  5. Wow, "Simon"! First of all, you must have a LOT of time on your hands, which I don't. However, here's a feeling I have that may or may not be accurate......maybe you could look it up to see if it's true or a falsehood. It SEEMS that Fitzpatrick throws to his wide receivers (i.e. Evans and Owens) more on average per game than Trent Edwards does. I also KNOW that Lee Evans has 2 touchdowns in 1-1/2 games with Fitzpatrick at QB. This SEEMS to be a better average per game than with TE. 2 touchdowns in 1.5 games roughly equates to 21 touchdowns over a full season, whereas 1 touchdown with TE over 4.5 games equals about 3.5 touchdowns for a 16 game season. It also seems that there isn't as much "checking down" with Fitzpatrick than there is with TE (see catches by running backs and tight ends). No, I don't think Fitzpatrick is the long-term answer at QB for the Bills, but I DO think that he gives the Bills a better chance to win week in and week out right now.
  6. ...about this latest edition of the Buffalo Bills? Apathy! After Sunday's loss, I just don't care any more about this team. I am a lifelong Bills' fan (I'm 48 and had season tix from 1972 through 1993 when I moved out of town) and I have been angry, frustrated, and discouraged about this team, hitting the low point last week against the Dolphins when I thought it couldn't get any worse. I'm tired of them ruining my Sundays and I'm tired of caring. I was in a better mood yesterday than I was last week, because I didn't spend my time in a sports bar or in front of my computer following the GAMECAST. From now on, I'll just watch the scores scroll on TV while I watch some other game. My kids have suggested that I pick a new favorite team. Apathy......I won't care anymore unless and until this organization is blown up from the top down. They've done a great job marketing this disaster......well, market to apathy. Good luck!
  7. THAT is a good one. Got me laughing, but so true............
  8. Please note: I did not dis our quarterback. I didn't even mention his name....
  9. ....I was wondering how Indianapolis and Arizona (i.e. Manning and Warner) make it look so easy to go to their wideouts play after play, and throw downfield (Indy did it on the FIRST play of the game---what an idea) early and often. With our supposed top-notch tandem of wide receivers, we should be able to just get them the D*** ball. By the way, Manning was throwing to two receivers I barely know (Garcon and Collie or Trolley or Folly---no, folly is the Bills). I live out of town (MD) and debated long and hard about going to a sports bar to watch the game. I have vowed to waste neither time nor money on the Bills this year. Three wasted hours and $20 wasted dollars later.....now I'm thinking about doing the same thing next week vs. the hated Dolphins. P.S. I'm an original (Rich Stadium) 1972 and former season-ticket holder who can't stop Bill-ieving (hoping against all hope) that the Bills will win a Super Bowl before I die (I'm 48)!
