  1. Pretty sure Freddie Jackson has the most YAC on the club. He makes plays, so far, more often than anyone on the offense. The Bills, IMO, will be reluctant to even give up a DRAFT PICK for an aging TE with GAZILLIONS in guaranteed money the next three years , so again, IMO, they'd be even more reluctant to give up one of their best all-around offensive stars for him. Sounds like total bull sh-- to me.

    What he said.

  2. Jesus H Christ, cmon guy. Jackson behind only Edwards? How about Evans who was first in the AFC in yards coming into this week?

Listen I love Freddy Jackson, and he's a helluva back-up running back. He may even become a solid starter someday. But if we could swap our back-up RB for Tony frigging Gonzalez, you pull the trigger.

Look, Evans has been great, but this is just a matter of opinion. Maybe I am biased. But Jackson has returned punts, lead blocked on kick returns, has gotten a ton more touches than Evans, and been a huge spark plug when Lynch needs a blow. Think back to the Jacksonville game and some of those screen passes he had no business breaking for key first downs. So, IMO, I wouldn't trade Jackson for an aging TG, let alone FJ and a third.

  3. There's one thing to really like a guy and hope he doesn't get dealt, but this is ridiculous. If you can't see how getting TG wouldn't help our team, then I really don't know what to say. Our TEs are horrible.

I know TG is a huge upgrade over Schouman, Fine, Royal, etc, etc, but I don't think giving up Jackson is the right price to pay for that, especially if it also includes a 3rd. Outside of Edwards, I would say that Fred has been just as integral to the team as anyone else if not more.

  4. Like I said in the other thread, I don't see how trading Freddie for TG benefits us at all. Jackson has been a HUGE part of our successful start, and I'm not sold on the fact that what we gain going from Royal to Gonzalez outweighs what we lose in Action Freddie as a spark plug on offense and ST. He's been quite more impressive/valuable than Lynch this season IMO.

EDIT: As Dean alluded to... what would the explanation be for Jackson being removed from the roster and depth chart if not for an unannounced trade?

  5. You are correct!

That's kind of freaky. Still listed in the Bills' depth chart @ NFL.com:

    http://www.nfl.com/teams/buffalobills/depthchart?team=BUF

He's not listed on the roster either at bb.com. Furthermore, on his wikipedia page, it says he was traded to KC midseason. I would love to have TG, but I love Freddie Jackson. I don't know that I'd give him up for Gonzalez.

I don't trust wikipedia for anything, but being off the depth chart and the roster at bb.com is troubling.... especially because I just bought a Freddie Jackson throwback jersey before week 1....

  6. My son sent me a different video of him. After I watched it, I called him and we both said the same thing. Thurman Thomas. Hold back the arrows and poison darts, I am not comparing a rook with 0 games played to a HOF'er but I will say that his moves and running style are very similar to TT's. That stutter step and cut/bounce at the LOS, as a defender gets penetration......then he seems to run with unexpected power after contact.

Hope we got a real diamond there to back up our Beast.

Have we all forgotten about (D-III) Action Freddie Jackson to be the ying to Marshawns yang?

  7. this actually surprised me, even though it shouldn't have since he tests the waters every off season. this probably means brohm is as good as gone too, and bush, even though he was probably going anyways. big downer for the city right after the orange bowl win, but jurich (ad) will score a good if not great coach, whether its kregthorpe(up and comer) or a bigger name.
