  1. Throw the chart out the window when your talking about getting in the top 10 for a qb.  I had him as the 3rd best qb and we took the 3rd qb of the top 10.  Stop acting like this kid is a bum.

Mayfield and Rudolph were the fools gold of qbs, and we avoided them.

    We’re going to 2. Just have a gut feeling. I think it’ll be 12 / 22 / 53 / 56. Giants will then be sitting with 12 / 22 / 34 / 53 / 56 / 66. Easily enough to get back up to 4-6 for Chubb or Barkley and still have 22 / 34.

We’ll be left with a relatively normal draft (2, 65, 97) and all our picks intact next year.

I also think this is a very reasonable expectation. People can't underestimate the Beane/Gettleman connection. And I think it's Rosen for us at #2.

  3. As long as we don't take baker "1 read" mayfield.  Also I have never seen a qb throw to more wide open recievers than he did in college. We should draft his offensive coordinator.

And finally when asked 4 people he wanted to go golfing with the first 2 people he said was mark wahlberg and justin timberlake. Its gonna be a no from me dawg.

Is that why they waited as long as they did then paid him a backups contract?

There were times in Cincinnati where they weren't overly thrilled with Dalton, but never pulled him for AJ...

ah yes, that sneaky Jim Harbaugh hiding the best QB in the draft on the 3rd string so brother John can get his franchise QB

You just don't know enough about the history of the NFL.  Mike Brown would NEVER let his coaches bench a mediocre guy he gave that much $ to. I laugh everytime I see this argument come up.

    McCarron's 2015 game logs below.

I would personally say inability to rack up more than 200 ypg and 6 ypa, while throwing behind the OL Cincy had in 2015 and to AJ Green, Tyler Eifert, and Mohammed Sanu, would have to be classed, if not as a "weakness", at least as something that needs to improve dramatically for him to be viable as an NFL QB.

I have no idea where you come up with the "top 3 QB in this class" thing, even with the games below.  McCarron came out in 2014 and was evaluated behind Bortles, Bridgewater, Carr, and Garappolo.  I like AJ, and I would have to say he would still be evaluated behind them all - possibly ahead of Bridgewater, who would now be trailing the pack due to injury derailment.  This year, I think AJ would be tucked in ahead of Mason Rudolph at the top of the 2nd tier - a capable, competent QB with no red flags who played surrounded by talent and who looks as though he might have maxed out his physical potential at a low-NFL-level.  McCarron would get the "nod" over Rudolph because he played in a pro-style offense and made progressions, but no one would put him ahead of Darnold's elite playmaking skills, Rosen's elite passing talent, or Allen's elite physical gifts.  Well, unless they diss off Rosen's "character" concerns enough in which case I say "BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Let's draft Rosen!"

I thought you were laying your Sar Chasm open before our unwary feet, but it's very hard to tell on this board sometimes.

People seriously bring out the most ...amazing.... views.

Although I appreciate your insight and agree with a couple of things you said overall you are a bit off the mark.  If you go back and research Mccarron was widely viewed as a 1st or 2nd round pick by many evaluators.  He interviewed poorly at the combine and his stock plummeted.  We have seen over and over the effect the combine can have on draft stocks.  Im not saying he is the answer, simply that he does not have many weak spots when looking at his college and bro career.

  5. We aren't taking a QB in the first round.    Knowing what we now know about McCarron here are the QB rankings on potential as an NFL QB.

    1.  Darnold

    2.  Rosen

    3.  McCarron

    4.  Allen

    5.  Jackson

    6.  Falk

    7.  Rudolph

Beanes QB wants: Height, drop back passer, winners, competitors, arm strength.

McCarron: Check, Check, Check, Check and pretty much Check.

There is no greater impact player that doesn't involve them trading away their draft than Hurst out of Michagan for Buffalo.  With his heart checking out he changes the whole dynamic of the DL and he also checks the boxes McBeane look for in a player.

They Take a MLB with the 22nd, a reciever and TE in 2nd, CB and OT in 3rd, OG in 4th you have a solid roster top to bottom.  I think Beane knows there are far to many holes to fill on this team to give away his top picks to try n get a QB that have as many ? marks as the guy they already have.  Call me crazy but I think they got the guy they wanted all along, as I was the first to predict he would be our starting QB in a thread I started in season. Again he is exactly what Beane looks for in a QB.

Obviously its a mental health issue as opposed to a drug issue. And to all those lauging at or blaming the kid, schizophrenic episodes are scary, serious, and beyond the suffer's control. They can be brought under control with meds, but I doubt that he ever suits up in a bills uniform again. The NFL has a pretty bad record when it comes to mental illness and there's lots of misinformation (see comments above) out there.

Very well said although Im not certain it is not drug related yet.  But I agree with you whole heartedly that people still lack sympathy for people with mental illness when it is indeed beyond their control.  Do we pick on physically and mentally handicapped people for their disabilities?  Or say someone should be punished for being in a wheel chair?

Mental illness is an illness because it is beyond a persons control.  When people see an episode like this they approach it as if Zay was in his right frame of mind.  People don't behave like that unless they are going through some sort of mental episode.  Have some compassion everyone.
