  1. if i recall correctly, he brought some excitement back to buffalo in a time when we sorely needed it. watching him at his best was a lot of fun, at his worst, not so much. but thank you for your service and happy half century!

I agree and to add to this he came to Buffalo toward the end of a long career but gave us a chance to win every week.

Yes he was cocky and played with a chip on his shoulder but that fueled his will to win. So at the end of the day the W is all that really matters. Stop the Bull Sh#* about what type of person he was, on the field he was a winner and we would take a young Fluite on the

    team in a heart beat!

  2. I for one do hope that you reconsider. Please keep in mind that this was a horrible loss, and that because of the seemingly great offseason signings, we were ill prepared for such futility.

Either way, I hope to see you back and talk some more football.

    I agree
  3. LOL...um ok. Really, you can know all of this after just 5 professional games, in which he has played decent so far? You should be on the segment "Come on man" because that's a bit silly to say at this point and I would swap him with Fitz faster than you can say "Come on man". This kid could be ok, bad, great, who knows...all we know right now, is he has led his team to some wins and came out and won the starting job where he was expected to be a 3rd string developmental QB. He beat out 2 experienced QB's, including TJ on our team, and it wasnt because of injury, just flat out won the job.

This kid is doing fine and getting better. I think he has a great upside. The kid is not limited in his tools, his only limitation is height and that can be over come.

    I agree good post.
  4. My vote would be for Geno Smith.

Big (6'3" 214), athletic QB who runs the spread offense at WVU. Last year he had a completion percentage of 65.8%. He threw for 4,385 yards, 31 TD's, and only 7 INT's. He shows excellent pocket presence, has an absolute cannon for an arm, and has pretty nice touch on his throws. At the present, he is not as polished as a guy who he has been compared to, RG-III. Although he still has another year to work on his game. He'll likely be a top 10 pick.

BTW...I don't think this is a taboo subject. The Bills DEFINITELY have to draft and develop yound talent at the QB position. I'm not one of those tards who are screaming "Fitz sucks!" after one week of football, but I am keeping very close tabs on all potential NFL QB prospects this season.

    +1
  5. It's unbelievable isn't the way some people live in the past around here, and hold grudges against former players. Like its maybins "fault" he was drafted too high. What's he going to say: "what hold on bills. I don't belong here. Not enough body of work, somewhat undersized. I'm more like a 3rd or 4th round project. I respectfully decline your selection of me. "

Great take! Horse beat to death !
  6. While I saw Maybin being brutalized by Glenn and Levitre when the Jets played the Bills, I've not seen Ryan's secret weapon since (though his stat line is a cool snake-eyes).

Anyone seen how this neo-bulked up game-changer's game has progressed against the Steelers or Dolphins?

It does not make me feel any better to know Maybins playing crappy ,Let's worry about the Buffalo Bills and who's on "our" team. Let It die!
  7. One bad ball? I don't know what game you were watching. Four picks, and a bunch of other bad throws mean a poor performance. He can't hit a wide open receiver. I can point to 2 other passes that should have been picks. There's a ton of blame to go around, but come on.

Fitz is a soild backup for one reason a below aveage arm. Case closed.
