  1. Am a former Buffalonian who lives in the Pacific Northwest. I watch Russell Wilson weekly and read about him daily. My observations: he lives the game, is extraordinarily prepared, sneaky fast, has a rifle of an arm, computer-like accuracy, senses pressure like a barometer, and escapes tackles like Houdini. "Not sold on (Russell) Wilson"? Hmm, you, sir, are a very tough sell indeed!

    Great Post!

  2. Let me start off by saying this doesn't mean Manuel will ever be as good as Wilson, but let's settle down a bit.

    Wilson: http://sports.yahoo..../?season=2012_2

    43 of 75 (57.3%), 434 yards (144.7 yards/ game), 5.79 ypa, 4 tds to 1 INT, 1 fumble lost, Seattle averages 19 points/ game.

Also in his 4th start, Wilson threw 0 tds and 3 ints.

    Manuel: http://sports.yahoo..../players/26639/

    64 of 108 (59.3%), 689 yards (229.7 yards/ game), 6.4 ypa, 4 tds to

    1 ints, 1 fumble lost. 21.7 points

    1) Both had 4td to 1 int ratio. IMO, this is one of the most important stats for a QB. You can win a lot of games with that ratio.

    2) Seattle might have the best defense in the NFL. They carried that team while Wilson learned on the job. With their injuries, the Bills have struggled on D. Manuel has been asked to do much more.

    3) 2 weeks of missing your 1st training camp is huge. Wilson had a whole training camp.

    4) Let's all take a deep breath and relax.

Can't ,when we could have had him the third round , we moved up to take T J graham ouch!

  3. Seriously, draft another QB. EJ doesn't have "it". If people can say "it" based on "nothing", I can say "it" after "that'". He SUCKED today. No excuses. He SUCKED "today".

And WATCHING RUSSELL WILSON PLAY AT PRO BOWL LEVEL ,twist that knife deeper.

  4. The guy is like 235 pounds and 6'5 ". He's hardly brittle and wasn't exactly hurt on a routine hit. The guy dove at his knees and foot caught in the turf. I doubt the Bills staff is as reactionary as yourself. We've seen QB's go down for the year on lesser hits the past few weeks. In that VERY GAME, even. Alonso pulled up, hit the CLE QB in the shoulders and the guy blew out his knee! Be serious.

  5. I think his answer to "What's the coolest thing that's happened to you since being in the NFL?" says it all: "I get to play football, and that's all I get to do; just focus on playing football and nothing else."

Not sure how anything this kid says is painful or tough to watch. He's everything you want in a football player; he's grounded and humble, and he's not flashy or me first and doesn't give anything away to an opponent. I think that's pretty remarkable for a rookie.

What I find amazing is that he's actually getting consistent airplay. This interview wasn't really much different than the one he gave Jim Rome (ie kiko twitter hashtag is "ridiculous"). We all know the media loves to give attention to guys that are the complete opposite to everything I covered in the sentence above. I think that's a testament to his impact on the field this year.

We got a good one here. Hopefully we pony up when its time.

  6. How much of this is lack of support from receivers? I hope he's in decline, but really i think he'sm just missing Welker, Gronk, Hernandez, Branch & Lloyd. Edelman has been his best receiver and I wouldn't consider him anything special.

I agree he also said he wants to play till he's 50 yes Fifty

  7. Wow. WAYYYYYYY too much hate on this board. I thought they called a fair game. They critiqued both teams equally. I don't understand why everyone's all pissed off at Gumble and Dierdorf when you all should be upset about the fact the Bills just got their asses handed to them by New Orleans.

I agree !! This is a sore loser thred. If your winning no one cares who's calling the game!

  8. So did the interference on Goodwin. So did the 64 yard screen play. So did Lewis' fumble. So did the 34 yard end around.

    C'mon, really?

I liked the fourth down play call...on SECOND down. Second or first down was the opportunity for a naked boot or a PA. Not fourth.

+1 Block in the back on our gunner on the ot punt also .

  9. I was at the game and TJ did indeed get open deep a few times.

But so what? The guy can run fast, but he doesn't appear to be a football player. Has anyone ever seen him make an actual football play? He does look like a track star out there, running go routes over and over again. Lest we not forget the bungled special teams play where he bobbled the ball in the endzone and then ran it out anyway and got pasted on the 11 yard-line.

Easley is bigger, also very fast, has better hands, and actually makes plays that look like what a WR is supposed to do when he's in the game (he also is a great special teams player). I don't get why they keep putting Graham in there over Easley. Makes no sense to me.

He's a bust the sad part is we traded up in the third round to get him and left Russell Wilson on the board.! :censored:
