Ok, without Allen the Bills lose by a lot and never even have a lead.  Allen did a lot with his feet.  His passing was ok, but the fumble, the INTs are  big negative.  He had a few good throws and a few bad ones.

Darnold won on the road.  He had two great drives in the 4th quarter for TDs to come from behind.  Sure he had good field position most of the game.  Sure He had time to throw and he took what was there.  He looked poised and made fewer bad plays than Allen.

Buffalo was supposed to have a strong defense and a loud home crowd.  Darnold had no pressure and the crowd was not a factor.

    Round 1 to Darnold.

"Ok, without Allen the Bills lose by a lot and never even have a lead.  Allen did a lot with his feet.  His passing was ok, but the fumble, the INTs are  big negative.  He had a few good throws and a few bad ones"    really ---  Matt Barkly would disagree;  all Josh has to do is pass the ball more efficiently . I don't need a running QB I need an accurate QB someone who don't run because he cant make his second read; someone that can accurately throw a simple flare out

  2. There is nothing trustworthy of this regime in regards to their ability to assess talent from their days in Carolina ( a model Buffalo do not want to emulate )  or in buffalo where their personnel moves left us thin with no credible offensive playmakers at WR or O-line which is the same problem they had in Carolina

Today was obviously the aberration for this offense, but for the defense to be atop the league in yards given up considering the overall sucktitude of the O in 80% of the games is pretty amazing. McDermott can coach defense.

I'm sorry to burst your imaginary bubble  but Leslie Frasier has and always been a great defensive coach. The #1  defense running today is the same defense he ran in Tampa bay , Minnesota. This is his defense which is  the Tampa Two not Micky- D. who prefer to the run the Jim Johnson scheme from his days in Philly  & Carolina. When the coach tried to take over defensive  coaching duties for a half.Leslie had to tell him " This is his defense " not his. Leslie understood Micky-D was getting nervous so he calmed him down by telling him its understandable as a 1st time coach you try anything but he has to trust Leslie process in running a defense he is not familiar with and don't ever make that mistake again.

What this joke of a  head coach need to do is dismiss his buddies on the offense side of the ball he chose the o-line; qb and receivers coach with him from his time in philly and carolina'  once the quality of coaches improve the offense will improve

Not my fault you have zero reading comprehension skills. Let me put it in simple terms for you. Complaining that idiots have been killed by police officers because when they were told to stop reaching for their firearm they didn’t and ended up shot dead is no reason to start this ridiculous cause of kneeling during the anthem. If you don’t understand that, you are a complete moron...

Bull crap if it isn't a good reason ..... Its fine until your drunk sibling is laying on the ground lifeless

We are going to trust exactly what the bigot Reid says as the gospel?  Scary.

If by bigots you are talking about an owner that wants a black face behind his agenda because he lost two imaginary sponsers for his Sabres. No, I will believe what peluga said in the owner meeting.   Now I see why Josh, with no college football  success on the resume, was the apple of his eye over Mahommes and Watson

Race card? Does that also then indict every other FO that passed on Watson/Mahomes during that draft? And what actual % of this roster has your skin tone which I assume is white? Sorry, but injecting race into this topic misses the mark and takes away from your more substantive points about Whaley's judging of football talent, IMHO

Don't confuse race card with facts we drafted 10 in 2017.The original plan was to finally draft a QB to let him sit for a year.  Then for some reason the  GM wasn't allowed to draft, his board was demolished and his scouting staff was dismissed. Then we hear the trading up to get a lineman because of a phone call from Beane when he was still working for CAROLINA mind you, then another trade to move up for ZAY JONES because his coach, hired by mcdermott , was here

So this whole thread is about Beane.  Beane wasn't here when those decisions were made.

In fact, we had a lame duck GM.  So your solution is to invest the future in the franchise (and McDermotts future as a coach) in a QB that hasn't been vetted by your people?  QBs who almost universally were considered highly flawed prospects?

Exactly this mess is really about church boy mcdermett he initiated the exodus of young talent and acquiring older players , Tolbert anyone , mcdermott thought it was ok to pass on Watson& Mahomes who both played better competition and no draft capital was needed. We watched Watson for two years take apart  Alabama defense. The only thing both Warson & Mahomes didn't have was MY  skin tone.

I MIGHT OF HAD MY DIFFERENCES WITH WHALEY BUT HE CAN JUDGE FOOTBALL TALENT something mcdermet/beane dont seam to have a clue about

Speaking of flawed what have this QB did compare to the 2017 prospects that made you feel comfy enough to trade up for this. I'll put it to you this way if

JOSH  looked like Watson or Mahomes he would still be looking to get drafted. He is nothing more than a white Cordelle Jones except Cordelle won a national championship.

Hasn’t had a chance in regular season action and looked sharp in preseason. I would bring him in. There is absolutely zero chance he is worse than Peterman and he probably isn’t any worse than Anderson either.

You would bring in a drunk before Kap....... really

Thought I’d give you all an update on Ragland in KC.

    you win.

Ragland is playing in the wrong era of football when it was important to have that run stuffing thumper at MLB.

Its not working out here in KC.  Ragland is virtually useless as he can not cover and he isn’t even able to make plays in the run game.  He lacks speed.

KC drafted a guy named Dorian O’Daniel in round three this year out of Clemson.  He was a tweener safety LB type.  He finally got real snaps this past week.  Talk about night and day, suddenly were able to cover the back out of the backfield.

Raglands time here is short.  It’s very clear he is a relic from another time.

    congratulations.

Don't worry you got the better of us on the Mahommes deal.... Seams our coach was more worried about 2018 and  trading everything we have for his great white hope from Wyoming

I was watching  channel 2 news this morning and Adam Benini and Vic Carrucci were saying that with the way this team is playing that McDermott JUST HAS TO BE on the hot seat. Then they bemoan how bad they played against the Colts and it's just unacceptable for the defense to give up all those points to the 1-5 colts.

Maybe they forgot how critical turnovers are (from the offense) to getting blown out. Guess they forgot how we demolished the Vikings at home and that a superior team can get their butts handed to them by a lesser team.

What I find sad is these clowns can't see the long game that is going on here and that this offseason is going to be used to finish most of the rebuild that is taking place.

    McDermott is going nowhere.

Nooo, you are off just a bit on   Dermott and his hand pick puppet Beane. They are doing this all by their incompetent selves. They should have never been hired ... Goes to show the Palugas don't have a clue. They never should have left SWARTZ out of the building when Marone walked out. We would still  have  atop four offense with young players and only would have  to worry about the offense

It's time for you to keep quiet.  Everyone who knows anything about football talks about how well McD has coached given a team with limited talent, and how he has a solid locker room.  But you somehow think you know different based on information you claim is true that you have no way of knowing is valid.  Do you hang out in the locker room?  No.

I see you have me confused with your kids .....MCD caused the limited talent by shipping the playmakers out and their inability to judge talent ( Tolbert, KB, Ducasse, ZAY, and his love for washed up Carolina players. Just because you like to keep your head in the sand that's up to you

Exactly this. When you talk about "building culture", I don't know how you get the team to play hard week in and week out when your coach/GM ship out your best offensive player and a team captain. It screams "we're punting on the season!".

They can't build culture when you keep peterman and get rid of a playmaker. That shows the team that the best players or playmakers don't stay... The DB that played last week was better than most of the WR, backup QB, a couple lineman. The team is growing tired of his lip service

I just posted in the other thread that Whaley’s genius drafting of EJ just keeps paying huge dividends for the franchise.

Whaley didn't draft EJ; Butler did. If Whaley was still here we would have had Mahomes or Watson without giving away our better players. Think about that while inaccurate Josh bless us with his inaccurate passing.
