Agree, and the fact that he's publicly acknowledging the obvious is a major concern for a team that still fancies themselves as a division winner/SB contender.

Have to believe Beane is going to try and swing a trade for a viable option soon knowing all these DE/DT aren't making the final roster...

Is this an even bigger mistake than the one you said where Beasely is healthy and going to dominate? Ya know, despite that he's injured and on the roster bubble

Biggest mistake this regime made last year was dumping him for Lil Useless McKenzie.

All reports out of NY is that Bease looks refreshed and healthy. I think Giants offense going to be among leagues best if Daniel Jones momentum continues...

Beasley (leg) will not practice Wednesday, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

Beasley was also unable to practice Tuesday due to the injury, and It's unclear how much longer the veteran wideout may need to recover before he takes the field again. Considering he is likely on the bubble regarding making the team's final 53-man roster, it'll be important for Beasley to return as soon as possible.

He looks impressive. If he is coached well and protected well I think he has a bright future. The Colts have the blueprint from the Bills and how the coaches up Josh Allen. Excited to see him play. He was my favorite QB in the draft.

There is no blueprint. What worked for Allen and the Bills is "impossible" (sooo many variables) to reproduce and is not guaranteed to work for someone else. There's a reason there's so much voodoo around why one talented (and driven) player succeeds where another fails.

The advantage he has, similar to Josh Allen as a rookie, is that he can use his pure athletic ability to cover for gaps in his skill set while he figures out how to play QB in the pros. It's going to be a wild ride throughout his rookie season and likely continuing into next year. Beyond that it's all up to how hard he works and how well the coaching staff and front office build the team around him. If I were him I would hire Jordan Palmer yesterday, if he didn't already.

His personal QB coach is Will Hewlett and he also contracted Denny Thompson to prepare for the draft.

  4. I don't see the advantage for the Bills. I actually think highly of him and thought last season was unfortunate. Davis is well aware he had a down year and so is his agent. He's not going to give a massive discount and is going to bank on having a year that convinces someone to pay him. So the Bills would end up giving him a 'market' contract with a ton of risk on their end.

I'd rather let him play in a contract year and get the highest possible performance from him and let the chips fall where they may next offseason.

Carson Wentz anyone? He is still out there. Give him a try out at least. League minimum if he looks decent.

Wentz has tricked more teams off of one season of game tape than OJ Howard.

There's also been reports that he's unpopular wherever he goes. Why bring that in here for a backup QB who isn't that much better?

And where is the extra money supposed to come from, to pay a running back?

This is something they gloss over. RBs get paid less, but that money isn't going into the owner's pocket. It's going to other players. There's a negotiated salary cap so there's a limited amount of funds so it's always weird.

..and anyone who thinks they're doing this 'for other RBs'.. I have a bridge to sell you.

    ....this isn't a big deal....

Toney shouldn't be engaging with these people, but this is a big nothing.  The 3rd and 6th KC gave up for a guy on a rookie deal and who KC hasn't invested any new money into, already paid for itself with his performance in the SB.

IF anything, maybe this, and few more of these out of sorts outbursts and KC can save a few bucks at the negotiating table when the time comes.

Exactly. Given that members of the KC organization tend to drive drunk and injure little girls or kill themselves in the parking lot.. this doesn't even register anymore. Calm down, people.

You understand that your outrage is what keeps him employed. Seeking him out so you can be outraged is attention and that is his job.. to keep your attention and he does it very well. He knows this. You apparently don't.
