  1. Let's reason through this together. First off, answer your own question. It all comes down to talent, right? How are the Bills talent wise? Their special teams really doesn't need any justification and Spiller will merely add to that. Defensively however they made the switch from the 4-3 to the 3-4. Running a 3-4, for obvious reasons, puts the strength of your D in the hands of the LBs. Does the team have the LBs and the depth at LB to have that be the strength of their D? How about on the line? Do they have the types of DEs and NT that are required to run a 3-4 effectively? IOW, is Stroud your typical NT in a 3-4? Schobel won't be here and he wasn't a good fit at 3-4 DE anyway, but likewise, is Kelsay? If not, who on the team will play those positions and do it such that it clears the way for the LBs? OLBs are key in the 3-4. Who will be our OLBs and do you have faith that they will excel in that role in the 3-4? Secondary is secondary either way. On offense, why will we be better? Just because Spiller's around? While good, is he personally really going to make all that difference? What about the WRs? Who starts besides Evans? How about TE? Line, meh, we've made some acquisitions, but just as in past years, the names aren't as big, so why should we hope for instant improvement immediately, or "out of the box?" And say what you want about coaching, but both coordinators have never been coordinators before. That's not good no matter what systems you are running.
  2. Evans will go deep taking one of those corners with him leaving the field wide open for Spiller to work his magic.
  3. What do you mean primary need? Fred Jackson is a better RB but not as good a returner. Otherwise Spiller fills the same exact "need" as Jackson, who was a diamond in the rough.
  4. It's obviously all guess work.
  5. I was more thinking along the lines of food/clothing, etc. You know, people with real needs.
  6. Can McCargo play DT in a standard 4-3? Or three technique like he was supposed to be able to do, effectively? No. He does not have anything even approaching the body type or size for a prototypical NT. I have no idea why you would think that. The prototypical NT is larger. He will be lucky to make the roster this season.
  7. Why? What for? I've read the posts to this point. Nix isn't going to do anything this year or next, he has no talent. Do we have new talent evaluators? No. So why should things change. Props to those that can open their wallets to what the Bills offer, but I think I'd rather give my season ticket money to charity. While some treat the Bills like a charity, I would rather give it to a real charity. This team has been on a steady downhill slide for years. Most of the people at One Bills Drive seem to simply be there to punch a clock and collect a check. If you want it to be with your money, fine, no one's stopping you, but a lot of people have more important things to spend their money on in this economy. Football should be a positive outlet for emotional benefit, not some heart and gut wrenching activity the one pays for yet feels committed to. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. Whoever said those that don't buy tickets won't be missed, that may be true. OTOH we may be missed. But I'll say this, what will be put out by the Bills on the field again this fall won't be missed by me. I would very sincerely watch an average high school game instead.
  8. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the chances of Clausen making it to the Bills at 9th are about the same as the Bills winning the division this year. Bradford and Clausen will be gone before then, and if the Skins don't take Clausen/Bradford then the Seahawks probably will. Even then, after them there are two teams ahead of us equally desperate for a QB. My guess is that they'll select an OT or a WR. Right now after Evans they have nothing in the receiving department with TO and Reed gone, and we all know the status of the line. My guess is that they're going to try Brohm this year.
  9. At least you can tell by the replies who the people that are actually buying season tickets are. Everytime I ask my friends in Buffalo they all shrug and don't know anyone. Well, here they are.
  10. Didn't see that, but no one in this organization is in a position to be cracking on anyone right now. Until this team pulls its head out of its a$$ I'd just STFU if I were them. Nix just set himself up big time if next season plays out like it will, with more losing. The Bills are an organization of LOSERS from top to bottom!
  11. LMAO What, there was only one person that "predicted the Jauron firing?" Yeah, I mean who could have seen that coming.
  12. And just think how happy everyone was when we hired him.
  13. What a novel idea, build from the lines out, a tough front-7, and a decent QB. I can remember a team built like that once. Of course its architect was fired by Wilson and left to produce 10 playoff seasons in 15 years, headed for 11 in 16 this year, with other teams. He's a shrewd one that Wilson! No sneaking anything past him. That's why he's in the Hall of Fame and makes the big bucks.
  14. If this is true then this is the biggest kick to the groin and insult to fans yet. It means that Wilson knows that the team is leaving the region eventually, and that he has been lying all along about doing his best to keep the team in Buffalo. Forget the fact that he is using us to line his pockets as he prepares to yank the rug out from underneath our feet.
  15. Wilson knows that we'll all be lining up next season for more.
  16. And just think that we skipped out of a division with Cleveland and Pittsburgh for this "rivaly."
  17. So much for you wife getting fed any more information. lol
