Tuel demoted to third team
Clippers of Nfl replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You forgot Joe Montana. -
I watched first half of the Denver/Seattle game. I watched a few highlights of the Pats*/Redskins game. (They showed some ticky tack calls) Both Peyton and Russell had long scoring drives. Both Peyton and Russell had stupid ticky tack penalties that helped their respective drives continue. We're in trouble guys. The game was boring. The game was slow. This really bothered me. Main reason why it bothered me was that I didnt agree with about 90% of the stupid calls. Dude, they might as well just get rid of the cornerbacks. On almost all the flags I said, "What did the db do?" The officiating crew will have an enormous impact on the game. Man it should not be like that! Anybody else notice this? This is freaking whack!!!

Hard to argue that. Fred looked good for the few plays he was in. How will he look game 10? Good point. I wish Cj was utilzed like a Sproles. Sproles has had more yards in the air vs run yards since about 2008. Look it up. Almost double. Cj can kill teams if he is used in space. I'm not sold on him up the middle for 2 yard gains...

This is well said. If he played lights out with his opportunity, then I could understand all the hype. But he's just been average. Last year we gotta be honest, he was way below average. This first preseason he was decent. By now way lights out. Gave up 2 sacks. (Ok maybe not him, but it happened on his drives) 1 td 1 int 12/17 74 yards. Higher percentage compared to last year, I'll credit that. Last year his percentage was 44% with a rate of 45. In all fairness his yards per completion for hof game was only 6. Short passing game basically. A lot of qbs can do that... I'm just saying. I dont want this guy to fail, believe or not. But at this time, August 2014, he has not shown the greatness that tuel supporters feel he has.

hes had opportunities. He looked bad in Cleveland and lost in kc.What has he done to deserve so much praise. The td he threw Sunday eas a 2 yard slant that the db defended horribly. Im not trying to deny the td credit. Im trying to figure out if that pass is the reason for all the extra extra happening. How come none of the tuel supporters mention the 2 bad throws at the end or the sacks. Its like he had a perfect game? He didn't. If the guy throws 3 tds and ej throws 3 ints, then we have a conversation. Up till now ej needs to stay healthy. Thats about it.

Omg the board is full of qb negativity. When we may not even need a great one. Our run game looks improved just as our wr core is much improved. Who do you guys like? Freddy looks to be the usual beast. Cj had that one run. He's explosive and this year, the coaches use him correctly. I was really impressed with the rb from from Philly. Too bad I cant remember his name. His # is 35 Dixon from SF could be the man for that tough 1 or 2 yards.

Easy: It's because he is being placed on a high pedestal when his play has been average or even below average. That's why. Funny how Tuel supporters place him on hall of fame status, but the coaches are relegating him to play with the 3's. If this guy was gold, he would not play with the 3's. That would be bad coaching. Dude gets sacked twice and throws 2 bad passes just before he gets pulled... I simply dont get it. I could understand critizising Ej. Sure I could understand that. But elevating Tuel, that I dont understand. Not at all.

Nice catch Dibs. I simply forgot about our speedster. I'll revise it then. I do like Hogan, but I dont know if I like him over Goodwin. Hogans purpose would be to catch that 3rd and 4 conversion. But that would be the job of a tight end.... So because of that I have to place a weapon over Hogan. Since I also dont see Hogan as an explosive wr. I dont like Tj. Way too many negative plays go towards his way. They cannot all be blamed on qb. Again, sorry Jboy since I know you are high on the guy. That first down stretch from Tj was nice. I'll give you that. But I would not cry if Tj ended up somewhere else. Here is my list Sammy, Woods, Mike, Easley (for his special teams play ability as well), Goodwin, Hogan, Tj

Maybe while he's reading a book is the reason he gave up 2 sacks. Ej I believe gave up zero sacks. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not saying Ej is a qb hof. But there is no question who is better. Tuelmania shold not be happening. Tebowmania, yes. He had success and that bomb throw to win a playoff game. What has Tuel done for us lately? I dont get it. I'm not watching that Sunday game again!!! I hate that hall of fame game. Ok. Not hate. But you know what I mean. I cant wait till friday. It was directed at Firechan. Not the chan over chin poster, unless it's the same guy.

Then I shouldn't be driving. Tuel is progressing? He had a minute to go in the half after the blocked punt. His final 2 plays: A pass in tight coverage. 3 guys covering one guy. To top it off, a bad pass. uncatchable by all 4 guys. lol Then the int. Then Thad guy Thad came in after half. When it matters, the guy sucks. Last year he had one td 3 ints.

No they shouldn't. It's not always a positive thing. They create controversies. They hurt the team/locker. Confuses the team. Affects the confidence of the starter (See Kyle vs Tebow) Affects the rythim of the offense and receivers. Yeah I know it's an exxagerated example, but should they have a qb competion in Denver? Hell no. They have the best qb of all time. Right now the true starter, Ej Manuel, wether anybody likes it or not, needs to practice with the starters. Plain and simple. It has nothing to do with head coach job security.
