  1. That was me doing physical therapy after my hip replacement.
  2. Does anyone know the last time both the Bills and Sabres won games on the same day?
  3. He's Cleveland's punter and is under contract. Not worth a draft pick in a trade. If he was potentially our punter next year that would be a different story, but we had him and didn't want to keep him.
  4. There were so many Bills injured a spreadsheet to track their conditions is probably in order. I'm particularly interested in Taron Johnson, who often bedevils Mahomes. Any idea how it looks for him?
  5. I have about 3 inches on the ground here in Memphis. And there is NO WAY I'm driving out there with all those southern amateur drivers.
  6. The Bills D is much better than the Dolphins D, particularly with all the injuries the Dolphins have had. And Miami shut down the Chiefs in the red zone and made life generally difficult for the Chiefs. You'll recall the Bills beat the Chiefs in KC a few weeks ago. Now maybe the extra days Reid has to scheme up Bills beating strategies will be important, but the Bills coaches are no dummies either. So far this is shaping up just fine. The Texans will go to Baltimore and have a decent chance of winning. I'd rather face Houston in Buffalo, than the Ravens in Baltimore. They had 1 solid game? They won all 5! They did not play to their potential most of the time, that's true, but a W is a W no matter how close the score is.
  7. The Dolphins have it figured out. As soon as global warming means no more cold-weather games they'll be unbeatable. Of course by then Miami will be several feet under water....ah that's just a detail to worry about later.
  8. Thanks. I'll watch for him in the game against the Lions.
  9. Another head scratcher. The second team RB is Kyren Williams of the Rams. Maybe I don't watch enough NFC action, but I honestly had never heard of him before this. Christian McCaffrey of course made first team, and he deserves it, but does Williams deserve it over, say, Derrick Henry, who had more rushing yards behind a weak O line in Tennessee?
  10. This is why I'm concerned that Josh won't make the HOF. Of course he deserves it, and people watching today see how good he is. But five years after retirement, I don't think people will remember so clearly, and they'll see the lack of those postseason honors and figure, nah, maybe the Hall of Very Good, but not the HOF. The only solution is to get a Lombardi or two or three. Look at the rosters. Very few AFC players made it. The entire second team defense and special teams are from the NFC. I don't know how that happens, not with the AFC having such good teams.
  11. Going heavy for the Bills usually means pulling one or both safeties close to the line. They're not as big as most LBs but they, and Taron Johnson, tackle like fiends. It will be up to the Steelers to show us what we need to do. If they try passing a lot, then keeping the safeties back is a good idea with Pickens in the house. But if it's run run run, then I'd expect Hyde to line up closer to the LOS.
  12. My screen says the video is private. Not sure what that means. Clearly many others have been able to view it. Is there some technical trick I can try to view the video?
  13. If a team has won all its games, it's not undeserving, by definition. (If any team might be considered undeserving by the national fans, it would be Buffalo, which screwed around for three months before getting in gear.) So that takes out one part of your question. As for obnoxious, well that's got to be either Miami or Dallas. I'll go with Miami. (Again though, for the national fan base, I'm not sure how they feel about the Bills. I've read there's a lot of Josh Allen hatred out there. I don't know if that's true or why that should be the case. I would think he's wildly popular, based on his play and the way he interacts with everyone, but who knows what the national media have said about him. So the point is, they might think the Bills are the obnoxious team.) I guess there's no Ravens hatred, which is not surprising. They don't piss people off. They just win.
  14. Beane acknowledges he pulled the plug on Teller too soon. Teller was a rookie and the Bills had some veteran guards they wanted to use. None of whom were anywhere near as good as Teller turned out to be.
  15. If there's one guy out there I'd like to consider, it's Wink Martindale, who resigned as DC of the NJ Giants. Not only is he an outstanding DC, he quit on Daboll, so McD might want Martindale just to piss off Daboll, who has not seen eye to eye with McD for some time.
  16. They're not nuts, they're just greedy.
  17. About the second half last night...did Miami put out a missing persons report on Achane after halftime? He was tearing it up in the first half, and the Dolphins had the lead so they could have kept on running. Did McDaniel outsmart himself by moving away from the run?
  18. And I think Stroud does. That kid's got an ARM. How many other QBs could make the run for a first down in the 4th quarter, that Josh did last night? NONE. How many would even try? Same answer.
  19. Well, there have been Native Americans living (and dying) here for thousands of years, way before they were called Native Americans, and so there are probably a lot of burial grounds, most of which are totally forgotten. So odds are, you're right. Also not much risk of Buffalo being under water in 20 years. Also I'm pretty sure it's easier to get homeowner's insurance in Buffalo than anywhere in Florida.
  20. In the summer of 2022 we were driving through Chiefs country in Missouri and I stopped for gas. Had my Bills hat on of course. The other guy at the pump had on a Chiefs hat and we had a really nice chat. He told me that Hill, who had just been traded to Miami, was a royal pain on the Chiefs and was well gone from their point of view. I always wondered if this was just sour grapes. I think the answer is that the Chiefs really miss Hill on the field, and the Dolphins are happy to have him on the field but who knows what he's like in the locker room. I didn't see any of the Dolphins players who watched Hill do his flip acting surprised or upset. This apparently was SOP for Hill, and they're just used to it.
  21. Criticism of Tua for not being Josh seems a little unfair. He's a very good Tua, really as Tuas go. He's in a system where he has a job to do, and he does it well, against weaker competition that can't figure out the timing of his offense. The reason he loses against winning teams is that the winning teams have better Ds and better DCs, and they're on to him. In contrast to Tua Josh IS the system. Ever since Dorsey left and the Bills figured they might as well go ahead and use their best player, Josh has been Josh. Sometimes great, sometimes pretty bad (New England game), and sometimes both. Restraining him does not work. You know the expression, "you pay your quarter and you take your chance"? We've paid our quarter and we're not switching now.
  22. Suggestion: Sneak onto the Miami board and post that, encouraging Miami to hold on to their very special Special Teams coach. I'm really hoping it works out that Cleveland goes into Baltimore and beats the Ravens, and uses up all their mojo doing it, before coming to Buffalo for the AFCCG.
  23. And yet that 85 team ... Some really cynical Bills fan should sneak onto the Miami board and defend Crossman. Keeping him is subtraction by standing still.
