The Bills have allowed a league-high four TD catches to tight ends after two games.
How do we stop this trend?

I thought, in the interest of inciting vitriole and venom toward Sunday's opponent, I'd resurrect this story:
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/loca...stevens270.html
Anyone that continuously employs this sub-human tool box deserves some rage, now let's make sure we in the stands give it to 'em on Sunday.
God I hope someone paralyzes him from the neck down.

i know.....shocking. this team may add a player through the draft as an upgrade rather than adding them as a replacement.
It's making me shake...
it just seems unnatural...

Anyone else want to see Gruden as head coach next year?
-
McKelvin is a moron, but you can't blame him for being ignorant.
Someone needs to go to him before that play and explain that the most important thing at that point in the game is to retain possession and run the clock.
I'm not saying its all the coaching, he should know better.
But ....
You have a guy with the IQ of a janitor ... you tell him to be extra careful when scrubbing your golden toilet seat.

i am struggling moving the chains and scoring on the new madden for ps3. it seems like my o-line is constantly gettin blown up on run plays and i just cant seem to get the ball to TO and lee. does anybody have and tips or pointers for me.
Well, this is an easy answer.
Take it from the pros who know.
Release Langston Walker (don't trade him)... and take a playbook you've never used before (like you just got a brand new Offensive Coordinator).
That ought to do it.

I love it when a person calling themselves BB Fan 4 Life wants the team to get destroyed. AWESOME!!
Here's the deal. We're going to lose. Obviously, I don't want that, that's why I'm pissed. But its going to happen.
If its close, then we just chalk it up to the pats continuing their usual drubbing of the lowly bills.
If its a blowout, our front office will be exposed for the monkeys they are and we might actually see some movement.
The talent level on this team hasn't been high enough to compete with playoff caliber teams for some time now.
It's time for an awakening.

I'm sure this post will drop to the bottom of the list within nanoseconds, but I'm going to post it anyway.
For all of you Monday-morning-GMs-in-waiting-who-could-run-this-team-better-if-you-only-had-the-chance:
Trust me when I tell you that there are 31 other team owners out there tonight who are grudgingly tipping their hats to Ralph Wilson. Ralph Wilson has the built-in excuse for EVERY move he makes. He is operating a team in a small market in very hard economic times.
Cut your overpriced Left Guard? See ya. It's Buffalo. If hard decisions aren't made I'll get creamed.
Cut your overpriced Left Tackle? See ya. It's Buffalo. If hard decisions aren't made, I'll get creamed.
Cut your big-name backup running back? See ya. It's Buffalo. If hard decisions aren't made, I'll get creamed.
Ralph doesn't need an excuse, and I believe he knows it. It's Buffalo. It's Western New York. He HAS to make ruthless moves like this to compete with Jerry Jones. With Dot-com Snyder. With Bob Kraft. These guys are MADE of money, so everyone is expecting them to SPEND it, and ALL the time. They ALL - trust me - ALL - wish they had the alibi that they were making these moves because it's a small market. Do you really think any of these guys don't want $XX million suddenly dropping into THEIR pockets? Are you goddamn serious?
Ralph Wilson is (choose the metaphor):
Punching above his weight
Playing the hand he's dealt
Making lemons out of lemonade
Playing within the rules
I don't fault the guy one bit that he's cut an overpriced underproducing left tackle. When the hell did you people think that this wasn't a business? I credit the guy for showing the stones to make a lot of really hard business decisions in a short time frame. I'm glad I'm not on the receiving end. This is the same guy who opposed the CBA, on which a large number of owners are beginning to come around.
This guy's ruthless, and I'm guessing a lot of owners are mildly envious.
Dude our salary #'s aren't really that much lower than they should be. We spend roughly the same...we just do it stupidly. It's more retardedness than ruthlessness.

I think the 56-17 to the expansion Seahawks in 1976 may have been the most embarrassing loss in Bills history. Did you forget about the 56-10 loss to NE a couple of years ago?
I want to see 70+ points.
If they start running the clock in the 3rd I'm going to be pissed.
-
Heard on NFL net just now that we tried to trade him earlier in the day. Couldnt even get a 6th rounder for him Nuff said
Maybe cuz 6 days before the start of the season every other f*cking moron in the league knows who their starting tackles are.
-
HAHAHA! This is THE MOST retarded thing I have EVER heard or seen in my life!
You are gonna sit here and try to tell me that Langston Walker (unemployed) is a better option at Left Tackle than Jason Peters (starter/2x pro-bowler)?????????????????????????????????????????????????
Please pass the pipe! (or learn a thing or 2 about football)
Oh but how certain people insisted...
It's incredible! People were on here for weeks telling me Walker was an upgrade.
Now Butler is going to be an upgrade...
Its in the water.

I've been a Bills Fan since I could watch them on TV with my dad and my grandpa. All I'd like to see is them get back deep into the Playoffs before my grandpa dies. I'm not even delusional about the superbowl.
After this offseason and this most recent sh*t with Walker and Schonert, I hope Bill Bellicheck kills us. I hope he sets a new record for the greatest blow out in history so it can go right in next to Ralph in the hall.
Our Front Office deserves to go down in history as one of the worst. They deserve to have their names spoken decades from now in connection with the biggest blowout ever.
This is cruel. We didn't deserve this.
-
Just a quick Amendment:
Walker at LT/RT to WTF?
who knows?
DOWNGRADE
T - 6 DAYS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SEASON
-
I'm just gald I have you here to correct me.
strike 3 ....
thread closed....
-
Yes!
Thank god...
still have to wonder if it wouldn't have been smarter to pay Peters Levitre's salary to keep him, or just a fraction of the money from the Dockery savings....
BUT given the retardation of our front office, I'm just thankful that we are actually starting the guys we picked up....and getting it out of the way early so its not a distraction...
decisiveness? how un-Jauronian
kudos!!!
Go BILLS!!!

Mr. WEO's band of miserable misfits adds another.
I don't know who Mr. WEO is, and I object to joining any band.
Frankly, after a decade of not making the playoffs, you're either miserable, or a moron.
The question was whether we got better this year. There is quite simply not a single GM in this league who would tell you they would trade peters for Walker, walker for butler, and dockery for any of our rookies in the same year. It was O-Line suicide.
God help us.
-
Trent is preparing for the tidalwave of manrape that is coming. hey, at least we've got fitzpatrick for when he goes down. Thanks Tom! How many Offensive Lineman are returning to the same position as last year....????
Did we get better? Short answer: No.
Longest answer justifiable: Hell no.
Buffalo Bills Kool-aid Spin: We "upgraded" at OL b/c our guys have the potential to be a better unit at some point in the future. "Potential" can be translated out of Buffalonian and into english to "currently not very good".
The truth is our front office is a joke, and has been since Bill Polian left. A sick, pathetic, and repulsive joke. Even Ralph admitted we "just don't have the talent"... and that was before losing our entire OL, our #2 CB, Marshawn for 1/4 of the season, and letting Angelo Crowell go.
Hey...at least we'll have T.O. to watch this year...if nothing else its like a bullfight...or a trainwreck.
-
Well I think they will sign a OLB in late free agency because the way they pursued Pisa to me shows me that the front office and coaching staff aren't high on Ellison.
maybe they're just high
-
Hold on hold on...!
This is not about whether he was good or not.
I'm asking if anyone knows why we released him instead of trading him.
-
Bills Depth Chart from their Buffalobills.com as of 7/2/09
LT Langston Walker Demetrius Bell Jonathan Scott
LG Kirk Chambers Andy Levitre
C Geoff Hangartner Brandon Rodd Marvin Philip
RG Seth McKinney Eric Wood
RT Brad Butler
God I hope I'm wrong and these guys start against New England in Week 1.
-
Yes...the Bills should spend money on a player who will be cut by the mid point of the season, or will end up being a backup by that point...
Lol...a backup?
You mean like Ellison?
Just please tell me you think Ellison is better than Brooks so I can dismiss everything else you post
-
The answer to the Original Post is easy
1) Keith Ellison will be a pro-bowler this year; or
2) Our front office takes the short bus to work; or
3) Our team's buisiness plan places revenue savings over winning. cheap

I used to HATE when Paul McGuire used to do Bills games.
It seemed like he was ALWAYS doing them.
He was just full of mindless dribble, would talk over plays, and constantly missed calls.

The problem continuity.
Every year we have 2 to 3 holes to fill to be good.
We release competent players creating more holes during the offseason and try to fill them with draftees.
Its Front office management.
