  1. He is not fat enough to play DT. As a 3-4 DE, he is not supposed to get around the corner, just collapse the pocket (which is perfect for him). IMHO, Maybin is an OLB, not a DE.
  2. I'm usually negative about the Bills, because they are awful. However! I see a ray of light in the 3-4 if we can get Kennedy and draft a Fat NT. Here's my dream: ROLB Schobel LOLB Maybin MLB Mitchell MLB Poz DE Stroud DE Kennedy DT Fat Draftee (Cody?) That set up could be killer. Seriously.
  3. This makes me think if we could get a good DT either through free agency or draft, Stroud would be ideal for the DE position. With that added beef, I can't help but think we would be better off. Imagine Kennedy and Stroud at DE, with a big fat DT in teh draft. Schobel on one side at OLB, and Maybin on the other. It sounds intriguing.
  4. I actually Like T. Cody with our 2d or 3d if he's there. He looked disgusting at the combine but his game film doesn't lie.
  5. I might be out of the loop, does anyone know what our plan is for Stroud with the switch to the 3-4?
  6. Our O-Line is fine. Larry Walker can play Left tackle dam it. Believe me.
  7. I could not agree more. I hate this stuff. Unbelievable. Only in Buffalo.
  8. He hardly flattens the guy, he'd already been hit, slowed, and turned...looked like Cody just laid on him.
  9. Pardon me for not being excited, as I am still miffed at the way we released our entire O-line last year. Last year was supposed to be the building year, now its this year. Ugh. God I hope this ends someday.
  10. Does anyone have any input regarding the success of complete coaching rebuilds in organizations? Has this happened before recently and how did it work?
  11. The way our front office handled certain personnel decisions in the recent past scared big name coaches away when it really counted. I really can't blame Cower or Shannahan for not wanting to come to a place that won't provide the personnel tools they need to win. Seriously, what would you say about a team that traded or released 3 of its 5 starting o linemen from the previous year, and released its Offensive Coordinator a week before the season. That's what you do if you want to lose. For the past decade this hasn't been a place where great careers go to flourish. Its where they go to get started...or ended for that matter.
  12. Just curious if anyone has looked at the records around the league to approximate where we will be drafting?
  13. Roscoe Parrish is an amazing returner BUT an incredible liability. Cannot beleive he didn't get called for running after calling Fair Catch in the Jets game. It looked like every player on the field but him was waiting for the call from the official. This kid has yet to learn the rules of returning punts/kicks, which are pretty simple. This kid is a moron and may forget to breathe at any time, he obviously needs CONSTANT reminders. Get this guy a tutor. It could be anyone. A High School Art teacher or a customer service representative at Wells Fargo. Just someone with a heartbeat to talk to Roscoe about the rules EVERY day. Let him chill with the Kickers and sound it out word by word. What a complete idiot waste of talent.
  14. The New Year is approaching ... what is your opinion on the ONE WORST Front Office move of this decade? My pick .... Willis McGahee ... 2003 draft section #23. We passed on:Larry Johnson (#27), Dallas Clark (#24), Rashean Mathis (#39), Anquan Boldin (#54), Osi Umenyiora (#56), Lance Briggs (#68), Jason Witten (#69) Ok. so hindsight is 20/20 and we didn't know these guys would be good... but did we really need a RB??? Travis Henry in the preceding year (2002) had 1,438 yards and 13 TDs... in fact in 2003 (while Willis was on IR) Henry had: 1,356 yards and 10 TDs. Once Willis was in he struggled to do what Henry already had done .. 2006 Buffalo Bills 990 yards 6TDs 2005 Buffalo Bills 1,247 yards 5 TDs 2004 Buffalo Bills 1,128 yards 13 TDs So essentially, we gave up a 1st round pick... sat on him a year... and he gave us a little less than what we already had. I know there are probably worse ones out there... guys who didn't even make it as starters...but this one still burns me for some reason.
  15. Were you listening to the Dude's story Donnie? Even a broke team like the Chefs would be better off facing a big market team with higher sales revenue because of the sharing.
  16. I'm not sure if this post was meant to be a joke or not but i'm laughing.
  17. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?showtopic=88135 Just because I love saying I told you so... for everyone who said Walker was an Upgrade over Peters.... I told you so. (and you are a moron). for everyone who said the O-Line was an upgrade over last year... I told you so. (and you don't know football). for all the kool-aid drinkers about to argue with me about the o-line.... don't make me tell you so again. Five weeks...... ZERO Rushing TD's kids. ZERO. argue with that. Long live Russ Brandon.
  18. Thank you. Many kool aid drinkers on this board quick to argue a logical fallacy in support of this team's front office. Why? I don't know. Even if we kept Crowell and he did get hurt...would that not have been the better move? Sure, you could look back and argue his injury, but you can't know that at the time you make the move. You make moves based on info available at the time.
  19. Someone needs to tell Russ Brandon that you need depth to win in this league. Stop F@#%$# releasing/not resiging competent starters dumb@$$ !!!!!!!!!!! I said when we didn't re-sign Crowell it was a bad move. You need AT LEAST 3 starting linebackers to win in this league. By releasing Crowell, we started with 2 (ellison does not count). As we saw this past week, it really sucks not having one starting LB. Way to go Russ. I hope he goes the way of Jaruon, or just quits in shame (because he should).
  20. This would be classic bills. Take a guy who is a proven quantity in a position with zero depth and trade him for a baby faced turd who hasn't proven himself, will want more cash, and will play in a different position (i.e. leaving a hole at DT). not just no. Hell no.
  21. All this week people on this board and in WNY have been pretty down on the Buffalo Bills. They should be. The Bills' implosion on Opening Night against New England, and their offensive ineptitude agains New Orleans and Miami have left fans with little to cheer about. But Buffalonians, in my experience, are optomists. Maybe its being under 4 feet of snow for 6 months a year that makes them want to look on the bright side. One thing is for sure, after the Bills beat Cleveland there will again be a buzz ... the maybe's ... the possiblies ... and the certainlies. But Bills fans should not forget. They have a right to be angry. They were told Jason Peters could be replaced by Langston Walker, only to have Walker released days prior to the start of the season. Despite having nine months of offseason, their team waited until days before the home opener to fire their offensive coordinator. Bills fans were sold on having a chance, and certain people have been taking advantage of their optimism for too long.
  22. I'm not sure but was Antoine Winfield on that team too? Anyways I totally agree. Its sad how close we were to having a reallly good team. We needed some help on our OL but most of the other pieces were there. Seems like whenever we have just a couple of spots to fill we release/trade/don't resign people during the offseason and have more holes than we can fill at the beginning of the next season.
  23. I hear Philly has a competent LT. He has ups and downs, but he's competent. Maybe we could trade... like a late first and some change... nah, competent LT's are hard to find. They'd probably turn us down.
  24. Jeff Garcia. Period. Every team he has ever played on has been a contender... and it can't get much worse than it is right now.
