  1. Bradford, McCoy, and Clausen are all hype and I don't see any of them being great qb's in this league. They may turn out to be good, but not great. Not worthy of a top ten pick. The other qb's in this draft that will drafted later will be better value and one or two of them will develop into a good qb. Their are no can't miss for sure qb's in this draft. I would rather not spend our first or second round pick on a qb. I would much rather take a shot at Lefevour, Pike, Skelton or even Tebow, but in the third ar later. One of these later qb's will turn into the next Tom Brady sixth round wonder.

The QB that is most accurate and a project is Troy's Levi Brown..

  2. I don't think Dan Williams is as big a reach as you indicate. He won't get past Miami at #12. If three offensive tackles are selected before #9, Dan Williams may be our pick. But I agree that the most likely selection is an offensive tackle. It depends on how Nix has the third, fourth, and fifth offensive tackles on the board rated because I'm sure at least two of them will be taken before we get our choice.

I agee with you on going with D. Williams.. He is not a reach and could anchor the D.line for many years.. It's a solid pick then in the second & third round & get the best OT with both picks ...

  4. Scott Carasik's Pre-Combine Mock

Scott Carasik actually hit several 4th rounder picks last year, so I respect his research.

I'd be happy if we pulled down his first 3 picks, and give us an A.

Admit I didn't know the fourth rounder, but he's had 38 starts, is smart, and a widebody.

And the 5th rounder? We'll say "Should have seen that one coming."

  5. the first 6 picks we make are lineman? four of them being offense, and 2 being defense. include the two we took in rounds 1-2 last year, and that makes 5 picks at OL in the past two years in the first 4 rounds. that would be a terrible draft. we didnt address any needs anywhere but line. not saying our line doesnt need an upgrade, but be picky, and dont force the issue. we dont even have enough spots to have that many guys, and we cant draft for depth when we need players to fit in a 3-4 defense. in that draft, you dont have us taking a LB until the 7th round, no QB (which i suppose is fine as some people dont want one), and a WR with our last 6th round pick.

good teams take the BPA, bad teams force the issue and draft position. also, look at the past few superbowl teams. they didnt have dominating offensive lines. the only team with a great line (imo) that made it deep in the playoffs, traded up and drafted a QB. the o-line can get you only so far without a QB of the future, which we DONT have.

i also like building the defense more than i like the o-line. if you had an amazing d-line, with our secondary, i think that would take us into the playoffs. i know our offense is pretty bad, but if were constantly getting pressure on the QB, forcing turnovers, and winning hte field position game, i think a team can put together some good wins.

basically, i give it a 6. decent players, forcing an issue.

You know the offense is bad, but you decide against strengthening it, to inprove it.. The defense is not that far off.. a couple of FA away and we are respectable..We traded up and got Losman..it didn't work its 50/50. This regime knows that the QB will be Edwards with stronger line play he may get us through to next year. We drafted a pass rusher last year and that didn't pan-out , they never play a guy that we spent millions on ...that will change. Yes, we needs at least 2 LB's Nix we take care of that...

This would build a solid base for the future of this organization, Of cousre their are still many pieces that need to be filled through Free agancy and UFA. First, build the lines & your team can play competive ball- The QB can't make plays while lying on the ground....Please send feedback: 9- picks total w/o trades.

  7. Underwent a 3rd knee surgery on Weds and won't be able to compete in the combine...its a different injury though, defective cartilage in the knee. I would love to see the Bills take a flyer on this guy with a 6th or 7th rounder, when healthy this guy was above Jeremy Maclin on the depth chart and was the best WR in the nation last year.

yes, good option in the later rounds.. He has good size and seperate well -route running will need work..average speed 4.5

  8. I'd hate to be catering that post draft party with that bunch. I think we need some LB's... or at least one more with that new defense but I like the idea of not drafting future Ellis lanksters and Cary harrises late. But somebody is going to have to play special teams... doesn't look like much here. Good effort though.

They drafted a LB last year #1 - They can pick up 2 free agents undrafted or FA.. If the Bills need LB they can use the next 2 drafts to take care of the LB core, since will not be football in 2011. 3-4 Linebackers need to be able to get to the QB & play the run with speed. I agee, but we cannot a dress all the needs in one draft , build a solid base then add the pieces.

  9. This roster is a mess and will not be fixed in one offseason. The draft should fill a few glaring needs . The best this free agent class can offer is some stop the bleeding guys. It took 10 years to make this mess , it will take at least 2 to start to turn it around.

I agree it could take 3-4 years to solidly build this team.. The ownerships stability is the also tha main factor...

  11. OT in the first/ Williams in the second, I agree this is how we should draft this year & next. Spend the next 2 years drafting Ol/DL alternating with each pick... strong lines will show in the win column...williams should fit well in the 3-4 def..Third round needs to be a OL too.

    good post!

  12. One name for ya fella's....Ciron Black: OT, LSU. 6'4" 318lbs. 53 game starter, 40 straight @ LT. Graded out at 85% or better all 12 games this year. I have no Idea why they got this kid going in rd 3-4...Oh, and from what I read about the Sr. bowl, he man handled Terrence Cody when they moved him inside ofr a few snaps... :censored:

I agree on Black bring in good offensive lineman.. Helps any QB play better..
