  1. My NFL Mock Draft 2012:

RD. 1 Coples DE N. Carolina or DeCastro OG Stanford(BPA)

RD. 2 Dont'a Hightower LB Alabama

    RD.3 Zebrie Sanders OT FSU

    RD.4 Nigel Bradham LB FSU

RD. 4 Tommy Streeter WR Miami (The U.)

    RD.5 Orson Charles TE Georgia

    RD.6 Quenton Washington CB USF

    RD.7a. DeQuan Menzie CB Alabama

    RD.7b. Coty Sensabaugh CB Clemson

  2. The Draft is only 2 weeks away. I know many knowledgeable people on this board want a LT, or WR as there #1 pick. I for one do not understand this. Buffalos offense last year was not that bad and statistically they were middle of the road. But on defense they were historically bad. On defense I have faith in 5 players. Williams x2, Dareus Barnett, and Bird. I have hope for Aaron Williams, Kelvin Sheppard, Justin Rogers, Martin Anderson and Kellen Heard. Beyond these names the cover is bare on defense. I have no hope in Merriman, Kelsay, Wilson, Edwards, Moats, Battan, White, Mcgee, Florence. I left Leodis out intentionally if Buffalo lets him he will be the AFC represenative in the pro bowl for special teams next year (just my opinion). Some of these players have been here for years and are proven loosers. It is time to add real talent to the defense (i.e. Mario Williams). This is why I think that when it is Buffalo turn to pick in each round. They should look at who is the highest rated defensive player on the board and pick him. With that being said. I would like to predict that Buffalo picks Luke Kuechly at #10 when they pick.

Buffalo has some real talent on offense Fred, CJ, Andy Levitre, S. Johnson.

I totally agree. Injuries hurt our defense last year, so you can never have enough depth. I would grab Coples if he is there, the reason he took plays off is that he was learning a new system last year. Don't be fooled, Mr. Nix will only draft players from the SEC, ACC he likes players from the south..Even Poe or Upshaw, I prefer Upshaw because of his size. I know that if they can grab Cordy Glenn, Nix will snatch him also..I dont see him drafting anyone from Iowa, it goes against Mr. Nix's theory. Re-Read this note in two weeks.

  3. DT Mike Martin, Michigan.

    Mike Martin Scouting Report

    Mike Martin - Michigan (HT: 6-1⅜ - WT: 306)

Positives -- Two-time Michigan high school state champion in wrestling and the shot put, broke T.J. Duckett's state record in shot put... Very strong, difficult to move off the line of scrimmage, occupies double teams and has plenty of nose tackle experience in former defensive coordinator Greg

Robinson's defenses... Tremendous weight room strength, bench presses 505 pounds and squats 700 pounds... Has the combination of strength and initial quickness to overwhelm interior offensive linemen, can slip blocks and shoot gaps well... Stays low and wins most battles for leverage, good technique, extends his arms well and keeps blockers off his frame, gets under the pads of opposing blockers; credits his wrestling background for improving his foot and hand speed and wrestling technique with helping him against bigger opponents... Can bull rush and overpower blockers when pass rushing, often needs to be doubled up on to be handled; solid leg drive, keeps his legs moving, can generate a push on the pocket... Plays with good balance, seldom on the ground, solid lateral mobility and does a reasonably good job redirecting... Has the strength to anchor and holds his ground at the point inside, does a nice job restricting running lanes; does well in backside pursuit... Hard working type who will play through injuries, has a good motor and gives 100 percent on every play, has a never quit attitude; lunch-pail type player, works until the whistle, locates the ball and hustles to make plays in pursuit... Offers some schematic versatility, could be used as a 3-technique tackle in a 4-3 defense or as a 5-technique DE in a 3-4, and move inside to 3-4 NT on passing downs... Performed well during Senior Bowl practices, has the power to dominate in one-on-one situations.

Negatives -- Slightly undersized to play nose tackle in a 3-4 defense in the NFL, frame looks maxed out, played out of position as 3-4 nose for Michigan and performed better when the Wolverines fired the Rich Rodriguez coaching staff and brought in a real defensive coordinator; lacks the height to knock down passes at the line... Neither a dynamic nor natural pass rusher, inconsistent get-off, minimal sack production, relies on a bull rush to collapse the pocket, has reasonably quick nimble feet but other pass rushing moves are still developing; lacks counter moves when momentum is stopped... Considering his natural strength, doesn't get good pop on his hand punch, would like to see him be more violent with his hands... Shorter than ideal arms... Some durability issues, sustained a shoulder injury during his freshman year and eventually underwent surgery, also played through two high ankle sprains in 2010 but only missed one game; however, the ankle injuries plagued him for most of that season.

I like this player. Tommy Streeter from the U.

  4. My pick is Dontario Poe. Yes, you can never have enough pass rushers or run stoppers. Mario Williams -Poe, Williams & Dareous. That line would free up our LBs to attack the run and QB. I know you all disagree, but we need line depth after losing Kyle to injury most of last season. 2-3 rounds should be 2 LB that weight over 245 lbs. I say we sign Marcus McNeil to sure up the LT spot. if, not Poe. I would go with the Guard from Stanford. Either one is a solid pick. Build the lines and then you can dominate your division.

  5. we need 2 solid LBs still. Our corners are ok --not great of course. Our LBs are awful;a gaping huge bloody problem. We need to prioritize.

We had one of the worst front 7s in football last year.yes a healthy Kyle plus Mario changes that---but that solves half the problem.

LB w 1st round pick.OL or LB 2nd and 3rd.-Unless of course we see a steal at CB in 2 or 3.

I totally agree. We need LB that weigh 250+.

  6. With the 10th pick I want Nix to take the best player available reguardless of position...

Even OG Decastro (assuming Bell is re-signed) he will be a future all pro...

If Bell is not re-signed OT Martin will be a good pick...

    DE Perry looks really good...

WR Floyd would be a good complement to Johnson...

Even a DT ... looks like Kyle Williams may take longer to get back then originally thought...

The Best pick will be determined after free agency... We need to know how Nix fills in some important holes

then we can get hot on who to pick.... So far the Bills have stepped up... NO backward moves as yet...

    DT Dontario Poe Memphis.

  7. This is our Haloti Ngata prospect. That we missed out on in the 2006 draft..

This guy will allow us to draft 2 DE products in the next 2 rds. opposing offenses cannot double team him ,Dareous & Williams if he is healthy. B.J. Raji was instrumental in solidifying the Packers defense. So, they were able to us Hawk & Matthews to attach the QB both players are LB's. So for those posters bashing me in the prior posts try thinking Poe is worthy of a 10 pick you need to believe he would be the next Haloti Ngata.

  9. You do realize, of course, that the pass rush is supposed to come from the DEs in a 4-3? How is Poe going to help there?

Of course the pass rush is suppose to come from the Ends, but the quickest way to the QB is a staright line from center. Do you know that Minnesota was able to do it with the william's quite effectively. Merriman could rush the passer also as Paup did in the 90's. Your argument is solid also.

This is such a terrible idea.

Hei s faster than a majority of the DE in this draft..

  10. We dont need to put every resource towards Offense, just a different type of resource.

Keep drafting D, but add to the O in FA. Need to re-sign Stevie, Chandler, and Bell, and get another big WR in FA as well (Jackson, Colston, or Meachem).

Spend the first 4 picks on D again, and get another OL in the 4th that can contribute like Hairston did.

I agree 100% with this comment.. Ditto! keep doing this and in 2 years we will be a force.

  11. You are describing 2 players: Alameda Ta'Amu and Billy Winn.

I'm a big fan of Ta'Amu. Ta'amu (6'-3", 337 lbs) is a DE34 or a DT43. I imagine his combine numbers vault him into the top 15 because of his quickness for his size. He's currently projected to run in the low 5s in the 40.

Boise DE Billy Winn, who at 295 could also be the butt you need. His tools are leverage, powerful bull rush, and size (6'3, 295) and strength to play both the 3 and 5 tech. I like Carrington, but Billy Winn would out-bull him to Brady.

Alameda Ta'Amu is our pick.. Run a 4-3 def. then draft a LB in the second & third rounds. Use the draft to address the def & free agency to fix the offense.
