  1. AFCE Biggest draft busts! per our Tim Graham

It was really kind of interesting because all of the peer negativity pressure I find here has me believing that everyone drafted player in the last 20 years has been a bust. I want to believe that that there may be a few more we can add from this roster in a year or two. I am not ready to give up on Maybin, though.

Fins: Sammie Smith was good on Tecmo Super Bowl, if anyone remembers.

It was fun to go back and try to remember all of the hype we were curious to face in all of those guys.

  2. Internet rumors...they're saying Green Lantern may be in Avengers, which does not make sense. However, I am pretty certain every one at some point or another was in the Avengers! From Captain American, Captain Planet to Shrek. That will be a huge problem in developing the movie! How many hero's will their be? How many villians will they need?

  3. Wow, Iron Man 2 was good! I saw it in iMax, the sound was well worth it! Yet, leaving their the whole time I felt like this is just a very deep plot! It kept refering to the Avengers over and over and those that saw the trailer of Iron Man 2 after the first Iron Man and the trailer for the next Hulk, which included both Fury and Stark, than you'll understand! It is getting ready for the Avengers movie, which we all knew was coming! Don Cheadle did a great job but Sammy Jackson just seemed a out of place. He will obviously be Captain Fury, Ryan Reynolds has been tapped as the Green Lantern, and whomever they get to Thor (For those that did not see it, in the end Thors hammer was in a crater in New Mexico). Chris Evans is to be Captain America, according to IMDB. RDJ may not star in the next Iron Man is speculation but Edward Norton will probably play Hulk. A few sites are saying they are considering a Wonder Woman!

The question will be threading all of these guys together! I do not want to see everyone just dropped in to place, like they plan on doing to Batman 3 (btw, expected to have 3 villians (riddler/johnny depp, penguin/philip seymore hoffman and catwoman/megan fox and ) and introduce 2 to 3 future villians (freeze, poison ivy, and harley quinn) as well as Bat Girl and Robin while not unveiling Scarecrow yet). Either way, I am psyched, but the whole Iron Man 2 was a giant trailer to the Avengers. Not to mention, what is up with characters never "really" dying? Iron Man 2 was good, I would give it an A for being more than I expected in development of plot and inteligence, but it was weak on things I have not yet thought about - something just seemed to be off...

Nonetheless, I am curious to see what is next! I would love to see them be able to add the Silver Surfer, Daredevil, Batman, Spiderman, and all the others whom briefly joined the Avengers. Plus, there are still rumors of them making a Justice League of America movie...so anxious, too bad Batman 3, Spiderman 4 and Avengers are not due until 2012

PS: That Christian Bale, Leonardo DiCaprio, movie the Exception looks good!

  4. Just some interesting points:

-16 is the legal age of consent in N.Y. It is doubtful that the feds would pick up charges to enforce the federal legal age of consent being 18. ESPN just reported her being 16.

-The girl was texting her uncle on the trip to the hotel to visit LT? That just sounds insane, what dumby pimp would allow the girl the cell phone to do that???

-She ran away from home, where are the parental charges? Did they notify the police or anyone? Is anyone going to look in to her living conditions?

-The pimp seems to have broken the majority of the crimes.

-Prostitution prosecution is entirely selective. Ashley Dupre should have been charged, for example.

  5. 1. J.P. Losman - wrong

    2. Trent Edwards - wrong

    3. Dick Jauron - fair enough

    4. Billy Jo Hobert - definately

    5. Russ Brandon - wrong

    6. Marv Levy (the GM) - bad decision

    7. Tom Donahoe (THE GM) - he kind of got screwed

    8. Orenthal (The Killer) - he may have done it, but based on football alone he does not belong there

    9. The Elvis guy in section 8 (oh, sorry, he is a "Section 8", and a tool) YOU COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG!!!

    10. The drunk who urinates in the sink at the Ralph. this ads to the fun of the place. I was 9 years old when I first dunit

    11. The nob who fist fights with his wife at the Ralph. always definately

    12. The guy who changed our uniforms after the 2001 season. hard to call, I am more annoyed when someone wears a jersey from a team that is not playing

    13. The cab driver that tell Chris Berman who the Bills will be drafting ever single year. where has he been the last few years?

    14. Chris Mortensen - he tries, but how is he buffalo related?

    15. Jerry Sullivan poor guy

    16. Mr. Big town (bleep)-rider, Colin Cowherd - most people generally say who? Unfortunately, I know him.

    17. Leon Lett (had he not fumbled in SB XXVII, we would've given up the most points in SB history!) - get over it

    18. Scott Norwood - pinning a loss on one guy entirely is hard...norwood was a scapegoat in many ways

    19. Bill Cowher - for what? he didn't want to coach in buffalo, his choice

    20. Mike Shannahan - he is a ahole but same thing with cowher

Feel free to add to the inaugural "Wall of Shame"!...

    Add Mike Williams.

  6. Part of it might be that people like to see other people fall from the top while watching people rise from the bottom. It is fun to a lot of people to put down a guy who started at the top. Brohm was touted as the next Farve after Rodgers was failing. Meredith started at the bottom and now is working his way to the top.

I still do not think Brohm is the answer. Edwards, in my opinion is the better QB, but both have as many drawbacks. Of course, whoever starts will get my backing!

  7. I guess I am crazy to root for a team win, lose or draw, but I do! I love the Buffalo Bills. I am so sick of the negativity on this board! The whole Tim Graham thing only infuriates me more!

Yes this team has lost a lot more than won as of recent but it has been a great ride!

All I read now is a post pointing out someones insight, viewpoint, or most recent news topic on the Bills. Within three points of that thread someone has flamed him. If you do not have something intelligent, worthwhile, interesting, or some times even witty, STFU! Go waste your time somewhere else, negativity attracts negativity. When you constantly look at the negative aspects about something you never see the positives. Than again, some of you seem like absolute morons, cry-babies, and sissies. Grow up kids...

  8. Oh my god we suck! We need to start Brohm! Lynch is a joke! Gailey is out of his league and needs to go back to GT. Ralph, that old flea bag owner, how could he let us fail? The sky is falling.

Mel Kipper, thank you, you are the reason why I think of ESPN has 99% sports entertainment and 1% sports.

  9. -The van was driven by Scott Breneman, while listening to a radio head cd, eating a bowl of chili knowing all along that he is Cartman's half brother!

    -They didn't kill Kenny.

-Sheriff Barbrady should have been referenced in all news coverage.

-Anyone who believes in God/Buddha/etc could be considered fanatic. Religion should be a great thing but the greed of man has destroyed the great book of moral stories referred to as the Bible. If believing that any object; bicycle tire, for example, makes you live a better life than more power to you. The Bible has great stories of moral character in it, however, when over analyzed and people try to draw meaning out of every word there is a problem. The same is done over the constitution.

    -Religion is obsolete

  10. Eye thinked for alot of the long time I have been here that I would of known how to spell and grammarize meself alot better then I did done before.

Sadly, you see these mistakes we're harping about here in the newspaper all the time here. Lexington, NC's the Dispatch is not a huge paper but by any journalistic standards it is almost as bad as the Toledo Blade, the former city I lived in and the paper I never read.

  11. Don't sign a contract if you do not want to honor it. None of us can go to our bank and tell them hay I want to re do my mortgage, I recently saw you guys made 203 billion dollars and were given 505 million from the federal government, that means I should only pay you 50,000 versus 250,000...

What is even funnier is if you ask these guys why sign the contracts and you get a great answer. If they knew they were as good as they were than why sign a contract so small? Unfortunately, in the NFL your contract is paid on what you have done, not what you are doing nor what you will do. That said, Johnson, bust your tail, work hard, and in 3 years get your money.

  12. I recommend everyone take the time to watch the entire episode. I have hay to cut and still found myself sitting here with the whole thing! In all of the years of sports I played it is amazing that I never suffered a single injury, yet it could have taken the smallest of things to be put in Kevin's shoes.

I speak for all of us and humanity I can imagine, but the entire staff and Kevin himself are owed much respect!

  13. my source @ the panthers who will remain anonymous, I called him to tell him my theory and he confirmed that goodell has indeed sent out a memo to all 32 teams that TW, "while an intriguing prospect, does not possess the proper moral fiber to be considered eligible for the NFL. He shall not be drafted or signed post-draft by any team without serious penalty"

thats the gist of it, sorry no link though it's supposed to be "confidential" so you wont find it online

I would sign him based on that alone. I would love to see Goodell have to explain his punishment to the NFL! The NFLPA is already launching itself upon the Miami front office for the Dez Bryant ordeal. This guy has been convicted and done his time. He is obviously still minding to his regulations of being a Sex Offender, because he is still free to walk the streets. He is deserving of a second chance. This differs from Big Ben because Ben has not been convicted, nor had to do any time. Both of these players, though, will and have suffered in the eye of public opinion.

Goodell has no reason to keep this kid down. I do not want to believe that, as well, but the world is not fair. If the kid was smart, which he is not (he transferred due to academic reasons), he can fall back on his major (which is probably leisure studies of central antartic sheep herders).
