then what is Barkley? In your post, you have a WR in Rd 2 and a TE in Rd 3. Wouldn't it then make sense to pick your QB in Rd 1 instead of another WR. Patterson could be a one-year college wonder.

Good move. Now lets make signing Levitre priority #1. Mark my words- if we !@#$ up and lose Levitre- it will be the biggest FA loss since Pat Williams. On a team with gaping holes everywhere- two positions are set- RB and Oline. Losing Levitre creates another gaping hole and would be a kick in the balls

So who is going to get the bulk of carries for Atlanta? I need to know for fantasy
-
Roscoe Parrish over Justin Tuck
Basically what I get from your post and looking at the 2005 draft- if the player drafted was good- they were signed long term by the team that drafted them

People who do not use their turn signals when driving. Like it is optional or something.
Does it really take that much effort to signal your turns? It is pure sloth lazyness. I hope instant karma hits and all their remote controls cease functioning. Then I hope their power locks break. Then their electric pencil sharpener....

Aggressive ignorance. When someone initiates an ignorant soliloquy with me, trying to impress me with their lack of knowledge. I try and be polite, and change subject....or walk away

did you read this thread? I thought that KOKBILLS already proved that false statement wrongJust as rare as the gangly 6'5" wide receiver who was slow to begin with?

I agree with all the above. If we let either Byrd or Levitre go, we are creating another gaping hole, and once again letting what is little of our talent walk. It is imperative we sign both Byrd and Levitre- then we can start plugging in other holes. I am guessing we spend a high draft pick on WR, a mid round pick, and add a FA WR. A trade down would be ideal, with the depth of this draft, and the amount of new influx we need. I predict we go for QB round 2, and draft 2 LBers in first 4 rounds, plus add 2 free agency. And decent chance we sign McKelvin. Especially after Nix's commentsI hope the Bills will be more competitive next year, but we have significant needs at LB, WR, TE and CB (I am ignoring QB for this post, which is probably the biggest need of all).
LB: Cutting Barnett leaves us with Sheppard and Bradham. Not sure whether either is starting caliber. I don't think there is a reserve linebacker on the roster who can step up to a starting role. The Bills need at least one new starter, assuming that the team stays with Sheppard and Bradham and Bills do not switch to a 3-4 , in which case we will need two new starters. The current group of LBs could be the worst in the NFL.
WR: After SJ, there are no starting caliber WRs on the roster. I have my doubts as to whether Graham will develop. Need at least a second starting wide receiver opposite Stevie and likely a third wide receiver (in the slot, with Nelson not coming back). Another poor unit that ranks among the NFL's worst.
TE: I like Chandler, but he may not be ready to start the season. Need a starting caliber TE.
CB: Need a starter opposite Gilmore, particularly if McKelvin signs with another team. Need to see if Brooks can develop. I have no hope that Williams will become a solid CB, and I expect him to be shifted to safety. Rogers played poorly last year and we need an upgrade at the nickel and dime CB.
How does this all get fixed this offseason? We can't count on rookies filling all of these spots, maybe our first and second round picks will be able to step in, but who knows? What I find disturbing is that there are not obvious choices currently on the roster to fill these spots. Throw in the uncertainty at the QB position and the possibility that Levitre will not be re-signed, and you have a team that still seems far away in year four of the most recent rebuild.

who would play WR? There are only 1.5 on the roster now(Stevie and Brad Smith)...Hmmm...who would play LB? There are only two on the roster now..

Thank you for your input. The review had some helpful info. Yep, that's what I gather. There is also no start button. I am torn between 7's familiarity and 8's template for the futureI used the beta. Didn't like the big icons -- they're clearly made for a phone/tablet/touchscreen. That said, you can still get to a desktop and then things work very similar to what you're used to with some improvements to boot.
Here's a review from the site I write for (not my review though):
-
Would you let John Hannah walk? I don't care if the position is guard. Levitre is one of the most talented Bills and must be retained
-
I need to do a clean install on a desktop, and I am debating between windows 7 and 8. From what I read, 8 is radically different and there is a learning curve trying to use. The reviews are mixed. Does anyone have experience with it?
-
I hate it. Not only is Nelson one of my favorite Bills. We are woefully thin at WR and he is very reliable and clutch. What does that leave us at WR? Stevie, Graham, Easley and !@#$ing Ruvell?

I predict Patterson puts up freakish numbers at the combine this weekend and shoots up draft boardsIf he grades out highly you would think Cleveland at 5 might be in play
-
I would love the pick! Patterson might end up being best player in this draft IMO. Couple him with CJ and it presents match up problems. You could feature both in same backfield, run motion, empty backfield, and dictate match ups. Both Patterson and CJ could play RB or WR. And we would have 2 explosive players. I am all for drafting Patterson at 8, a QB in round 2 or 3, resign Levitre, franchise Byrd, and devote the rest of free agency and draft to defense(LBs!!) and depth
-
Man if we selected Clay Mathews instead of Mayofbeen we would consider 2009 one of the all time best Bills drafts
-
i loved Gardner. He had some huge hits on special teams. And he was always the first to defend a teammate. No one !@#$ed with Gardner- not even Bryan CoxHow about: FB Carwell Gardner

I much prefer this draft. Cordarrelle might just become the best player in this draft IMO. Couple his playmaking ability with CJ and our offense could be explosive.Interesting stat. Wouldn't have guessed that. OK, I'm all in! Gimme:
1-Cordarrelle WR
2-Nassib QB
3-Le'Veon Bell RB
4-Collin Klein QB
5-Michael Williams TE
6-Levine Toilolo TE
Well I much prefer the top two picks at least
-
Bart Scott would be signed instantly by Pettine. Hence the fact the Jets haven't released him yet IMO
-
I like!NFLDraftcountdown has us taking Cordarrelle Patterson and Ryan Nassib with our 1st 2 picks.
Sign Levitre and Bird, and devote rest of draft and free agency to D
Bills are placing franchise tag on S Jairus Byrd.
