I apologize in advance is this a little off topic,  but I really don't think it is.

This would be a nice opportunity for McDermott and Beane to actually consider hiring a coach who isn't white.  The Rooney Rule was put in place for a reason and McD's and Beane's hiring practices pretty much violate the spirit of the Rooney Rule.

Our D coordinator is Lesslie Frazier not Frazier Crane.  He's black not that color should matter.

If it was in a vacuum it wouldn't be a big deal, but it's not. He has had all sorts of issues dealing with immaturity and not being a completely committed football player and this is yet another piece that appears to fit that puzzle.

And for those of you making the comparisons of other great players or teams that partied alot and still played at a high level.  Yeah, there were plenty.  The difference is those guys continued to play at a high level whereas Dareus has dramaically dropped off.

If I was a coach I would want my players having their heads on right and completely focused on their big franchise playoff game.  This is Dareus' first ever playoff game and this is where he is 2 days before the game?

I don't know, he may wreck us Sunday, but I don't believe he will ever become the player that he used to be.  And I attribute it to his lack of focus and commitment.

    Looks like a nice piece.

  3. Hopefully he has to deal with itching and burning throughout the game.

For a guy with Dareus' rep of not applying himself, it's not a good look. I mean this is a big game for the Jags too, right? It's not like they are in the playoffs a lot. I would be disappointed in any Bills player not focusing on this game 100%.

Maybe part of our strategy in trading him there was to sabotage them for this game.  Lol

Haha. I can insult my kid all day long but as long as I feed him Im entitled to do it. Im an awesome parent for it. Dont ever question my parenting.

Unless they becomes a serial killer, then you went to far and that would make you a bad parent.  Seriously though you toughening your kid up is a little different than the constant complaining.  I only go to games when they are in Charlotte.  I can't go watch every game or I would.  Because someone has the time and money to go to the games doesn't make them a fan they just might feel important because they do so.  In that case the are a fan of themselves and because they B word about TT doesn't make them a non-fan of the Bills it just means they aren't a TT fan.  Personally I look back at what we have had at QB since Flutie and I'm glad we have TT.  I agree with the OP and others.  I think TT is dangerous for the opponent in the playoffs.

The defense absolutely is and was a strength of the team.

And the rest are just recycled excuses over the last three years.

Look what happened in San Fran when they go get a legit QB

he done after this year as he should be

They will bring in competition but Tyrod will be on this team next year.

Sorry Bobby....that is just a weak answer.

The difference in the recycled answer's is in this particular year they did in fact make the playoffs.

I actually think he might be secretly mad about it.

  6. We are in the playoffs because of a team effort.  Tyrod is part of that.  Thank God the team we root for doesn't think like it's fans anymore.  I think that is why they got rid of the players they did.  I think those guys were me guys and finger pointers.  TT did enough to win and didn't do things to lose.  Like Fitzy.  I'll take it and if someone can earn the job over him then great, but he's our QB so get over it.

I think most understand that he isn't great but he isn't a bad QB like some try and make it out to be. How long did it take the Ravens to find a better QB than Dilfer.

Well when you have Grigson as GM and Irsay as owner....they f'ed that up.

They never built a defense or an offensive line in Indy.  Loaded up at the skill positions which was pretty stupid.  Give Luck protection and he will pick you apart.

I don't really believe that.  I think McDermott just wanted more from the passing game and took a risk.

Didn't workout so TT is back.

Neither do I, but that would be awesome if they did that and made the playoffs.  Sounds like something that other AFC East team would do.  Of course they probably would have already clinched home field.  Instead of tanking your own season you tank another teams. LOL

Seriously.  I think the Jets crush them this week...beat them by two scores.  KC offense is just terrible right now and the Jets defense will give them more problems.

I think the Chargers roll them too.

Dolphins, Raiders and Broncos are the other last 3.  I think the Broncos is the only game where they should handle.  It's a toss up between the Raiders and Dolphins.

8-8 I believe would get us in the top 10.  This is a Chiefs team that has lost 5 of 6 and one of those teams was the Giants.  They might even finish worse than 8-8 with they way they are playing.

Luck threw 31 TD's last year with 4,200 yards passing.

Someone suggested that they benched TT to give the Chargers a better shot at the division.

Except this year we have a ton of picks to persuade people to trade.  Even if we don't trade, we have a ton of picks to attempt to fill multiple holes on this team.  In years past, we've had less than 7 picks in these types of situations.  Not this year.  Plus, we got a little pocket change for free agency.  I absolutely hate when a fan says this regime will do just like the last 10 have. This one seems different doesn't it?  They have made moves to set themselves up for the future unlike every other Bills regime has in the past.  They dare to be better.

I want to win now.  Don't know about you but I'm tired of watching 4-6 win teams.  QBs don't always workout, even the ones in the top 10.  Blake Bortles, Matt Leinart, Vince Young, RG3, Joey Harrington...the list goes on and on.  They all say hi.  I'm not gonna tank the season and build a losing culture.  That's just stupid and pathetic.  I appreciate them wanting to win and setting ourselves up for the future at the same time like they said they were doing.  I'd rather win 9 games and not make the playoffs than fall of the planet and suck.  What free agents are gonna want to come to a 4 win team?  What about a 9 win team?  Again, I don't understand why we would intentionally lose when we have the chance to win 9 games and maybe that takes us to the playoffs.

QBs are hard to find no doubt but saying that they are only found in the top few picks is just a lie.  David Carr, Deshaun Watson, Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Brett Favre, Tom Brady...they also say hi. Stay where we are and take one.  Fill in as many holes around him to give him the best chance to succeed and add some to the defense.  That's where the luxury of multiple draft picks in the first few rounds comes in.  No to tanking!! Yes to rebuilding

Or we trade a 2nd or 1st for Eli

  10. Not looking good man.

The Bills showed me tonight they need turnovers to win ball games, and if they dont get them and fall behind early, they are done.

I was never sold on the Bills even before this game, and unfortunaly it looks like my pessimism is legit

Until you all get quit again when they win next week. Then you will secretly pray that they lose so the glass can be half empty again. At least that is what it seems like sometime with some of you.

We have a solid team and a ton of picks in the next draft. I just don't know how well they will draft. They have proven to be every bit as good as Whaley in pro-scouting. How do we go from talking about them tanking to complaining that we are 5-3(with a lot of draft amo) rather than 6-2.

I will say as to your post that we definitely can't give it away as much as we did. That probably had more to do with the loss than not getting them.

  11. I,ve kept quiet for a while now.

1st. 5-3 is amazing. I never imagined we would be competing for the division crown. So stop complaining.

2nd. McBeane have gotten a little 2 cocky with "the process" you still have to have talent. Darius sack numbers where not what we expect from him and I didn't expect it because of his salary I expected it because of past production. However where has our pass rush from the others gone without him and his run stopping was excellent. did you see the stat-line on our run D tonight. Trading Darius was arrogant and hopefully they have learned from it and don't make any other foolish moves like that and cutting J. Williams.

3rd. Any given Sunday or Thursday in this case.

This loss may actually be a good thing.

  12. We have a difference in approach. My character team is jacked and nasty. They are fit. They will wreck your hungover, club-going, suspended and preening prima donnas.

Read an article about Zay Jones' Dad Robert - jacked and nasty, but of the highest character. A gamer.

New England says they are not your team but they fit the description.

  13. i agree, shame though, the post was genuine in its intention.. but some people on a freakin sports board take it to a level to make them feel good , politically

LOL sorry but the OP brought up a political topic not a sports topic. You reap what you sow. Next time lets talk about how tough of an RB he is and if he is headed to the HOF. But don't lecture people about getting political on a political topic because that is exactly what it is. It shouldn't be here.

  14. Why do Italian's always think they're not white/Caucasian Always confused me... just wondering

Why do others make everything about color or and that is it I am an American. If you are an American then your at home. If you identify as anything else then go home. It's American not African American or Mexican American. Until we all look at ourselves like that the hate will continue.

How is this thread still open? I got a warning point making a joke about Bono at a concert. WTF?

maybe it's in the wrong forum but we are on topic and it's not to offensive yet

  15. He's actually one of the most selfless players to have played in recent memory and one of the worst trades in Bills history. If the organization didn't waste another 1 pick on CJ spiller and get in cap trouble by signing McCoy, the team would be in a far better position right now. So many fans on this board were so happy when he left, and he ended up becoming one of the best back's of his generation who could still be playing for us today.

Maybe it's just not that big of a deal. Let him sit. Why people get so offended over this stuff I don't understand and then the other guy gets offended over the other guy getting offended. It's called Free choice and Free Opinion and in my opinion it's a non-issue. As for myself if not standing bothered someone I would stand so as not to cause the other person stress but that's me. For the record My ancestor's founded this nation and my Dad is a Vietnam Veteran so I stand because I am all for America and that in my opinion is what the flag stands for. People seem to confuse politics with American Ideology and they are not the same. I hope that people start reading the constitution and the Bill of rights and consider what it really says.
