i'm not a big willis fan either, but i think it's obvious that unless someone offers up a top-50 pick for him, we keep him next year. i'm sure he'll rush for 1500 yards in his contract year, and we'll finally get some reasonable production out of him before we let him walk. then he can take his big contract from washington or miami or whomever, and go back to sleep for couple seasons.

that is exactly right....that was really an embarrassment. i know this team was a little bit of a fraud as far as being a super bowl contender is concerned, but not selling out a fish game with playoff inmplications is a disgrace. you cannot tell me that WNY is not becoming apathetic toward the bills.

maybe i am remembering this wrong, but i thought smith couldn't wait to get out of here once butler decided to go. i don't think he wanted to deal with the cap disaster here any more than butler did, and couldn't wait to run off to san diego with him. i agree the best thing would have been if he'd stayed.

i don't know if nate wants to stay or not, but with our cap situation, there's no excuse for not bringing him back if the bills truly want him.

i don't have his whole career on tivo, but i have seen him get pinballed more than any bills lb in the past 20 years...except maybe brandon spoon. that is my empirical observation and i am standing by it. and evidently marv agrees with me. i KNOW he's fast. i KNOW he gives 100% every day. i KNOW he's a great guy. i KNOW he's made some big plays in his time here. and i'm NOT saying he should never play for the bills again! but he doesn't deserve a raise, either. and i PROMISE you we'll never win a playoff game with fletcher starting, and i've been saying it for the past 3 years. i do not buy the argument that he looks bad against the run only because our tackles suck.
