  1. It may be the dumbest thing ever, but for some reason I always look forward to them. Really don't know why though.

Ditto. I think I go for the laugh factor now, considering what ESPN is doing with the rankings. Win and go down, lose and go up. Always a good chuckle and reason for pot shots against ESPN.

  2. I thought tugboat was pretty good. All of the suggestions make for an interesting thread

I'm very surprised K-Dub is actually supported by a few people. It sounds like a kid named Kevin wants to make a hip-hop song, to me anyway.

However, it's possible I could be missing the point. Is there some meaning behind "Dub?" Or is it just some random syllable added after the first letter of his first name?

"Dub" is short for "double-u," hence, k-Dub. The shortening is pretty common (evidence: my tag).

I for one like "Rockpile" and "Tugboat." Both are not common at all and definitely describe his play on the field.

  3. Where do you think the Bills go with a victory this weekend over the #23 Vikes?

Well, if we are considering Caplan's Rankings, I bet the Bills go back to #32 with a win over the Vikes.

How does Arizona go up two places after that HORRIBLE performance last night?

Thats a good question. He must think that 27-6 win by the 49ers is actually a win for the cards, considering he has the 49ers going down a spot. Does this guy get paid?

  4. Roughing the passer on 4th down. Led to the colts scoring a TD instead of the game being over when Phili recovered the fumble.

The dude hit Peyton on this head. Thats an automatic penalty, no matter how flagrant. The dude should know that; therefore it was a gift from the eagles, not the refs.

  5. I don't agree with that. You have to try to field a good team. Right now the defense is so awful that you can't even fairly evaluate the individual players. Right now, LB is the weakest link, so they went out and got a guy. You owe it to the fans to try to put a quality product out there. I know I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do. As for next year, who knows... maybe he'll sign and stay. Or maybe it will turn out that his best days are behind him and he no longer belongs in the NFL.

At least the Bills acknowledged that they need to improve. That's a step in the right direction. Doing nothing because "we aren't going to make the playoffs" is defeatism.

Glazer is probably one of the people who think the Bills should try to lose to get #1. :wallbash:

  6. I didn't take it that he meant they'd just be kneel downs to keep the FG attempt out of range.

I know. Considering the situation, the Chefs should have been expecting run, and considering how the bills had been running all day, except for a few nice plays, they probably wouldn't have made enough yardage to set up even a marginally probable field goal.

  7. Yes, someone with experience and has been fairly successful in the NFL. Please compare that to McDermott.

I can't and I'm not actually in favor of McDermott. I'm just pointing out that coaches that have been fired from other teams are not necessarily bad coaches, which is what your response previously was implying. Granted, McDermott may be a terrible fit here, but by saying he just got fired from Philly and hence he won't have success here is not exactly a 100% truth.
