Stevie didn't get to free agency. Indications are Levitre intends to test the waters.
We'll have to agree to disagree. I believe the 99% in this case are going to take the money. There are other factors, but they quickly lose out to money.
Let's also keep in mind that the general consensus was that Stevie wanted to test the FA market as well. It's not a foregone conclusion that both of these guys will hit FA. Don't be surprised if both are resigned before FA even is upon us.

He was a great friend to me too. & I was just thinking about our work w/ the Spec Olympics (We were friends, yrs before). I'm a local (Triangle) sports photographer. I told Dr Walk- I really don't have time to do this... But because you have done soooo much for me, & everyone else... I have to help.
I was talking to a friend recently... Our conversation brought back great memories of him. I 'search engined' some stuff about his life (Memory Ln), & came across you. I wanna tell you a story, cuz his selfless personality is sooo consistent, w/ what you said.
He was speaking @ a Nations Bank function in Charlotte, after the 96 Games. His speech concerned that the Olympics are not simply sports... but bringing the World together. His topic was NOT racism in Amer. It was about how difficult it is to get the Bosnian Oly guys to sit w/ the Serbs/Arabs sit w/ Jews... But since he was speaking w/ an Amer audience... He used the Black-White thing... cuz that's what we can relate to. He said:

Here are 2 tickets for tennis/2 more for swimming prelims. This is soooo awesome. But I have no cash. I have to get my husband, downstairs. When did I ax you for cash? This is terrible. I treat you so badly, yet you are doing this for me?
Young lady, we will never settle our differences, & come together in unity... until we show LOVE for one another.
That's who Dr Walk is... Alwaze a role model for me. But he set an unreachable standard.

Whatever the Front Office did would have been perceived as terrible by a good portion of fans, unfortunately enough. At first we didn't want a retread, check. Second, we wanted someone new and fresh, check. Now apparently we were supposed to go get Belichick and Brady as a package or else the coaching search would be considered a failure. Bills fans, perennially pissed because they feel like that is the proper discourse.

I see A LOT of very upset optimists because the realists see that this was a truly horrible move.
And the funny thing is im USUALLY an optimistic. I supported Gailey from day 1. Jauron from day 1. Mularkey from day 1. Not this guy.
The issue is that you have already declared him as terrible and a failure (people were already calling him Doug Moron, not you) before we've even had a chance to see how he can do. I can understand not being on board with the hire, but to declare him a failure within an hour of him being our head coach is a bit ridiculous, no?

Marrone turned Cuse around all most immediately. With little talent he coached those kids to back to 8-5 seasons and bowl appearances. Pretty solid accomplishment, but does it warrant a NHL HC shot? Seems a little early to throw that at him. I say that because the Bills were the only team interviewing him. That makes me nervous. Marrone will have a huge challenge in front of him and will need a ton of help. Front office better have a plan for a OC and DC. I doubt Marrone has those relationships. ESPN just ran a peice on the hire and Herm Edwards had some nice things to say about the new coach.
Oh well, I know this, find a top QB to play in B-lo and Marrone will look like the next NFL genious and Brandon will be the genious who took a shot on him.

Well considering how he was the most hotly pursue candidate, even over Chip Kelly, you should probably make sure your facts are straight.

Aside from the other 347 reasons why Webb sucks, he simply hesitates in the pocket way too much.
You can see the indecision floating around in the guy's brain.
Could you imagine if he was playing a top tier D? Cause I sure cant...

Agreed. I can't remember so many erroneous reports from the sports media at any time in recent memory. It seems like Twitter is batting around .175 right now.

Even with misinformation so prevalent right now, you'd have to think this is looking better than last night for Buffalo to land Kelly.
Also, I don't think we hear Kelly's decision til Monday now. Just my guess.

He tripped him but didn't necessarily get away with it. He was blocked to the ground and Webb happened to run into him. Now it did look like Clay went down pretty easily, but that's up for discussion.

I hate this debate - both have to work in harmony. If he's calling a clunky game, Rodgers would look far worse for it. The two of them are a great pairing.
I would have quoted 26 too but my phone won't let me. Anyways, fair point. The way I look at it, Aaron is kind of like Peyton to their offense. But the same can be said about any elite QB/HC combo, the debate would never end.

Love the way Mike McCarthy calls a game. Defenses stay off balance.
I'm not saying McCarthy is not a good coach, because he is, but I believe it's more Rodgers keeping defenses off balance than McCarthy.

Problem is we need a head coach and Brian Kelly isn't leaving ND. So we either play at least a season without a head coach if you want to wait for Brian Kelly, or we hire someone else (hopefully Chip Kelly) and go with them for a while. Your choice.

I don't think Kelly's style will work well with veterans over the college players he has today. I'd hope that anyone coming in would be hired as a head coach and not also a coordinator for either the offense or the defense.
There's a YouTube video a couple pages back that has Kelly saying something along the lines of needing to design the offense around the players you have. He said he would run a power I system if his players fit that. Kelly will adapt his system according to the roster by all indications.

These "I'm leaving the board" posts are quite ironic to me. If you want to leave, leave. No one will honestly care or notice the difference (I don't mean to sound like a dick) but coming on here and basically saying, "I'm taking my ball and going home because people disagree with me" is quite the attention grab and frankly completely unnecessary.
Plus, now you can't come back with that name even if you wanted, unless you wanted to have this post thrown back in your face.
