  1. NFL Network is carrying the game live tomorrow night at 7:30PM NFL Network Schedule Friday Aug 13
  2. In 3 highlight videos for this rookie minicamp, has anybody noticed Maybin making a single play? Let me re-phrase this: Has anybody noticed Maybin being there AT ALL????? He's a second year player isn't he? Oh that's right, he must not need the work............
  3. Have any of you just seen Marshall Faulk and Mike Lombardi running their mouths about the Bills on the "Grade the Draft" segment on NFLN???? Lombardi gave them a C for the draft, largely due to the Spiller pick. Then Faulk promised a 4-12 season (AGAIN) and him and Lombardi laughed away. The whole thing ended with Lombardi saying that the 4-12 prediction was generous and his grade of C was generous, and that there was "no direction" in Buffalo. I am really tired of listening to Marshall Faulk crap on the Bills every year with zero insight into actual football facts. I can't believe this guy is still on NFLN - they have much better analysts than him. He's just not that bright...... I, like many people on here, have started to believe in what Nix and Gailey are doing. It's frustrating to see "analysts" continuously give the same assessment based on the same superficial fact that they chose not to pick a QB early.....
  4. Hmmm. I am a big Nix believer but I am disapointed as hell this evening. We got a RB, nobody to protect whatever QB is back there and now it appears that they were going after Tebow but couldn't get it done, losing to a former Bellicheat weasel. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...ter-tebow-hard/
  5. I'd be happy with it wherever, and I'd be first in line to get a jersey. I would support the kid and root for him to lead the Bills like they haven't been led in years. If we do this it'll have to be a gamble, and it might very well have to be at 9. Every player is a gamble, wherever you take him. This just seems like the right gamble to make. Please stop listening to saying you'd want him in the third. He won't be there. He probably won't even be there in the second. The most painful thing I can imagine is him going to the Pats and brutalize us for the next decade. This is a REAL possibility. Belichick has already stated that he's the best football he's ever seen, and he has ties to Meyer. Just think about that for a second.......
  6. Do you know who else knows about evaluating talent for the NFL? Bill Belichik. Consistently for the last 10 years. He said Tebow is the best football player (not COLLEGE football player) he's ever seen. The Bills and the rest of the NFL can sleep at the wheel, Belicheat will pick him up in a heartbeat. Then we'll have to face him twice a year. (I can't believe I used Belicheat to support an argument, I'm making myself gag, but his scouting talent is undeniable)
  7. That's good, keep repeating what you hear Mel Kiper saying OR watch some football.
  8. Just reported on Sirius NFL radio that Denver released Boss Bailey. He is still young and if he's over his injuries, he might be an intriguing option instead of Ellison..... Decent size, well-suited to the 4-3 Defense......
  9. The real interesting nuggest in there are the terms - one year, $1M . That sounds like a hell of a bargain. The Bills must have been below that, because if they had offered in the $2.5M range like some people on here were suggesting, I don't think Tinoisamoa would have found it awkward to start right away for that kind of money.
  10. Not so fast......... PT reportedly want to start. The Bills might still be his best chance to do that in a Tampa 2 if he ends up in a three-way competition in Chicago....... per PFT "If he’s signed by Chicago, Tinoisamoa would reportedly join a competition with linebackers Hunter Hillenmeyer and Nick Roach."
  11. Guys, don't mix up PFT and profootballcentral.com........... Two very different outlets, one of them more reputable than the other. THis post is based on a profootballcentral.com report, NOT PFT. Wish it was though.......
  12. Did you hear that the Bills signed T.O.?
  13. According to Chris Brown http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2009/05/14/t...d-this-morning/ Tinoisamoa arrived this morning Chris Brown Posted May 14th, 2009 I know I promised I’d post the info here, so yes, Pisa Tinoisamoa was at One Bills Drive this morning. I’ve got more on the home page though. He’s getting his physical this afternoon, which is protocol on all free agent visits. I doubt however, that he’ll be made available for comment in light of that schedule. Looks like we'll know more by day's end
  14. Damn, he would have been a good, young addition at outside LB for a decent price. Hopefully the Bills can still make a move.
  15. I am not saying he's the best blocking TE, he just might not be as marginal a blocker as listed on a few other sites. From Scouts inc and ESPN: Nelson is blessed with outstanding athleticism for a tight end. He possesses good top-end speed and has excellent length and body control when catching the football. Not to mention, Nelson has extremely soft and reliable hands. He also has vastly improved as a run-blocker. Maybe he was weaker early in College and improved noticeably?
  16. Wow. I'll certainly trust your well-trained talent evaluator's eye to guys who do this for a living...... From his NFL.com evaluation page: The tall, lanky receiver developed into the Golden Eagles' best pass catcher during his time with the team, but also showed impressive blocking technique, averaging 45 knockdowns per season during his career. He also proved to be a clutch pass catcher, scoring 16 times on 155 receptions, the second-highest total by a USM player.
  17. Mayock said a little while ago that multiple team doctors have evaluated Ingram's knee repair to be less than ideal. He actually might need another surgery. He could end up being a great TE in the NFL, but it would have been a MUCH riskier pick becasue of health, and maybe even a project if he didn't see the field in 2009. All things considered, Nelson appears to be the right pick!
  18. I thought many of you would appreciate this nightcap if you haven't already seen it. It's fair to say that when he wants to play Peters is a good, perhaps even great left tackle. But THE best? Really?????? From PFT: “Jason Peters is the best left tackle in football,” Eagles coach Andy Reid said in a statement. “He is a powerful and athletic tackle and I have admired his play over the last few years on film."
  19. OK Here's a ~CRAZY~ theory: They were waiting to see if they would be able to retain Crowell before making a move, knowing full well that the history from last season made it less likely. In the meantime, they hosted VERY viable free agents but made it clear a move was not IMMINENT. Now that Crowell is gone, they can focus on those two guys, and the plan probably will have worked out well as neither of them got a sniff from anybody else, and FA's get cheaper by the day during the FA period. This Chris Brown account of the interview with Jauron after the visits kind of supports this nicely: With a host of FA LBs rolling through One Bills Drive the past few weeks Dick Jauron provided an update on just what they’re trying to add and whether they’ll continue to seek out solutions to bolster the position. “We’ll keep looking,” Jauron said. ”Again, we like that group. Coming back off the injured are John DiGiorgio, of course will be back and is doing really well. Marcus Buggs will be back also. And Alvin Bowen will be back, too. We like those guys and we’ll keep looking there, too. Obviously we liked the guys we’ve had in and visited. When they came through, we were very upfront with them. We told them we didn’t know that we’d do anything immediately. We clearly liked them, that’s why they were here. We liked what they did. We wanted them to get a feel for us and us to get a feel for them face-to-face, so that if down the line here we got back to them, they did know us and we could do something quickly if they wanted to and if we wanted to. So we’ll keep looking.” Sounds as if the free agent visits by Jamie Winborn, Freddie Keiaho, Cato June and others were somewhat exploratory in nature instead of visits that were going to lead to an imminent signing.
